Bird Watching!

Bird Watching is back! Have fun looking for these seven new birds as well as birds from previous years.

Bird Watching will be around until Spring.

Notes: After accepting the Bird Watching "Quest", you will have to find your daily bird somewhere around the site. They will float on the page like pumpkins during Morostide or flowers during Vesnali. Just like these, you want to click them in your most current window! If you have multiple windows open to the site and happen to find the bird in an older window it won't work.

the Centropolis pigeon spawned, but it gave me an error when I clicked on it, and didn't show up in my inventory. Today. (so not a conflict with Survival flowers...)

I had the error and lost out on at least 6 of the Veta Plovers. Then it finally worked. I tried the toggling trick and I think it might have helped.

Thank you. :) I did know that, but the silly thing was 3 million sP when I first started. (I think it was down to around 800K last time I checked on it). I also did have an offer from someone to lend me one, which I VERY much appreciated, however, being an extremely stubborn overly Aries XD, I decided to give it one more go on my own. And now I do have it for in my Minion Zoo, since that was actually my idea (the Zoo) that I kept begging for many moons ago when I was still on Staff. :)

Also you can cheat and buy the bird from another users shop, it works... had to do a few times with so many errors

Well I'll be DARNED! After like... a week and a half of total FRUSTRATION, the combination of those two tips actually WORKED! :) And in less than fifteen minutes total too! I had my doubts after getting that error on the first two that I refreshed on up, but it actually DID let me pick up the third one! THANK YOU SO MUCH! dances :)

tip 2: no point clicking around the map. just go to the index of whatever area (like if you're looking for the shadowglen dove, just go to shadowglen) and reload until you see it. it's a lot quicker

i was a little reluctant to say anything in case someone had already said it, but i had the same issue, specifically with a lot of the location-based birds for some reason. HOWEVER if you just keep reloading the page they will eventually show up again, and after a few tries you'll probably be able to collect it. the most i've ever gotten that error consecutively is twice, and it usually works on the third try-- at least in my experience. go straight to the associated location to find the bird and just reload until it lets you collect it. tip: ctrl+r is reload on most browsers

Ahh no, I've found the shadowglen dove twice but i got that darn buggy message of, "you can't pick this item up right now." Both times! I wish the bird watching request would reset so i could try for a different bird that isn't bugged but I'm guessing that isn't an option? I'm stuck on this bird otherwise and it's not fun having to buy them when i can find the birds around the site. I'll keep trying i guess :/

I love this but the location-specific ones are so frustrating. They seem to take forever to show up and I've had way more errors than usual. Unless I wanna click around an area for hours at a time it takes me days to find location-specific ones ):

Oh my GOSH! The silly thing FINALLY just NOW turned up, after DAYS of tortured searching and, of course, I got the dread "you can't pick up this item" message! It's a good thing that I have an AMAZING sense of humor! XD

I, too, am having the issue where I can't pick up a bird from a location. Had the Centropolis pigeon show up, clicked, got a popup that said "oh no! You can't pick up this item" or something along those lines. Looks like this may be a site-wide issue with location specific birds if I'm understanding correctly?

I refreshed and refreshed and never seen a Omen Islands Gannet I'm done with bird watching it's not fun if the bird dont show up I will just buy the birds I lack yet

You can borrow and that will work, Rosemary doesn't keep the bird (she just wants to see it)! Maybe see if a friend has it or check the trade center for people willing to lend?

I am supposed to find a "Shadowglen Dove". I have been wandering all over Shadowglen for HOURS for three or four days now and it has yet to turn up! I did consider just buying one, but they are almost 3 million sP! So others must be having similar difficulties, I assume? And it doesn't seem that you can just change birds/request a different bird either.

I did an account search, and found I already had the bird it kept telling me I couldn't have. lol Not sure if that would help anyone else, but I just removed the one from my Zoo, and took it her for credit. ;)

I love this so much! I am a Cam-op for Cornell labs.. my favorite is the Hellgate Osprey Cam. Would so love an Osprey to catch for nest year!! Fun fact, Our Iris is the oldest known living osprey!! So the area birds are glitched? I've been trying to find a Darkside Kite and when I found it I got an error message and it's just been gone ever since, but it seems everyone is having the same problem right now. C'est la vie! I'll await the bug fix.

I'm supposed to find the [Item=Centropolis Pigeon] and whenever I do and click on it I get following message: Oh No! You can not collect this item right now What can I do apart from buying it for 750k?

I had the same problem with the Centropolis Pigeon, and after a couple days just pulled one out of my vault. I've found the rest of the birds really quickly so I guess the pigeon is just being rude. ;)

I'm on day 2 of looking for a Centropolis Pigeon, and I finally gave up and bought one. Unlike the other birds I found previous days, the pigeon never showed up: not in Centropolis, and not anywhere else either.

Hi , have you started the bird quest on the Bird Watching page? I think you only get one bird per day, and they show up only after clicking the button to start the quest. Sometimes they take a while to show up for me, but I haven't had one NOT appear eventually (if I remember to do the daily quest lol). I hope it works for you!

I've been playing for hours upon hours and I've not seen a bird... ever... not even once. I do most of my quests daily and spend time restocking and I have not once seen a bird. I didn't have this issue with morostide.

Those looking for location-based birds; I'm also experiencing these issues and have resorted to buying them off other players (some for awfully expensive prices, might I add) but, after I've shown the bird I put it back up for sale at a much more reasonable price than the other sellers. I could also drop the prices even further if need be.

If you're struggling to find the bugged birds, I recommend also doing this! It's only a bit of sP but, if we keep the bird prices low I think that'd be helpful for everyone. :)

Hello folks, we are working on this!

Previously generated birds can be shown to Rosemary, she doesn't keep them! So a previous copy out of your vault, or lent by a friend, is going to be a good way to resolve this while we troubleshoot.

I accepted the quest and have been looking for the Omen Islands Gannet for three days at least. I've checked all of the Omen Islands locations. Refreshing doesn't seem to be working. Anyone else experiencing this?
