Hexing and Token Shop Goodies!

Happy Morostide, my spooky pals. I just want to clarify some things for everyone.

Are you looking to get hexed more often? Try wearing the Collection of Obscene Gesture Photos. If you don’t want to get hexed, try Random ToTing. There is no chance of getting hexed when trick or treating randomly. Just a reminder, the link on the news sidebar for random trick or treating will show an error when you click, that’s just because the link is timed. Under the “The link you're trying to use has expired” bit should be a button that says “Random Trick or Treat”. Click that and bam, you are on your way to candy town!

Oh, also! As a special treat I’ve restocked the Token Shop with a few items that’ll help you during the holiday. The Hypno-Monocle decreases your chance of being hexed when choosing the house to visit, such as a friend of yours or a person on the forum using sCode. The Bag of Minion Nip will increase your chances of finding one of Jaxon’s wayward minions at the Pumpkin Patch. Make sure to be wearing these items for them to work!

I'm getting hexed 3/4x for every 5 ToT attempts and still no RNG hex border. I'm getting...very irritated. I'm definitely way beyond the amount of times hexed you should have to be in order to get this achievement. I was just hexed 5 times in a row even. Like...it's ridiculous.

the only wardrobe that should be accessible is the wardrobe on new subeta. You cannot use the old wardrobe anymore.

Iv got both of these items in my wardrobe but when I try to access them via account search it sends me off to new subeta. Any idea how I can apply these items already in my wardrobe?

I get hexed 8/10 times since day one. Bearly have any treats from the toting, STILL no border. I feel like they shouldn't be this hard to get. : /

How many hexes does it take to get the border? Bought and wearing the gestures book, took the hypno and sage off and I've been getting hexed constantly but no border. Would really like to get the patch and hex borders before morostide ends in the next week so hope I have better luck over the weekend. Random things are kind of frustrating. Never did get the storm border. Darn.

I didn't realize that it's a random chance of getting the achievement and border! I thought if you got hexed, you would get it. Now that that has been cleared up for me... I'll just keep on trying! Wish me luck...

I've never gotten the yearly minion for the achievement despite using minion nip. Some people get it really quickly. It's all luck of some kind!

yup, I don't have any of the new Morostide borders yet, but I am not worried about those, since I don't really think much about wearing them. I forget they are there! :O I was really proud of my Quest A Thon gold border, from last year, though! So I do wear that one a lot. hehehe I do love the anticipation of ToTing, and the Patch tho!! Squeals Such fun!!

I got the minion within about 2 hours. I'm patient. I'm still waiting on the Tempest border too. There is still plenty of time.

Honestly, I have no idea how many times I've been hexed, but I know it's been at least 10. RNG is funny like that.

I have been hexed over 30 times, or so, and still no achievement/border. I think it might be my time to wait patiently (or impatiently...lol), because the last borders, I got really quickly. Also, last Morostide, I got the new minion after about 3 tries, and yet this year, I still haven't found it! :O Just makes me wonder if this is just a waiting game. ;) Have 11 more days tho, so hopefully will get it before then. :D

, ONLY 3 times? I've been hexed at least 10 and do not have the border yet. I also haven't received the getting pricked in the pumpkin patch one. I don't have the book to increase my chances of being hexed, but I did take off the hypno-monocle to ensure that I have better chances of getting hexed.

I have gotten hexed 3 times now and I still don't have the achievement/border. Is there a way to kick the achievement on or trigger it into registering?

Much of the time, I cannot even see the what my HA has been hexed into. I see the message that I've been hexed but my HA looks exactly the same. The other times that I do see a hex picture, it does not show up anywhere in forum, wardrobe or my HA page. Other than an eventual achievement, it's disappointing.

Maybe I'm imagining things or maybe there was a change from previous years (or maybe you guys just forgot to mention it in the news post), but wasn't supposed to help with avoiding hexes as well? I spent all day yesterday wearing the monocle + sage and wasn't hexed once so that might be a good alternative to random ToTing for some people.
