Gracious. I've been here since like 2008, or something. I mostly lurk, but one thing I love is that this site just keeps on going. It's been there through some of the hardest times in my life, and I'm grateful. I still have the first pet I ever made here, and the first one I ever adopted. But my favorite NPC is Quentin, because fellow nonbinary person here. :D
I've been on here for almost 10 years now! My favorite part has to be the avatars. It's so fun to just tuck in and create a new character.
I've been on this site for over 15 years. I remember finding it back when I was 12 and looking for a site that was more friendly than Neopets. Going through so many pet sites and trying them all and Subeta was the one that stuck (do to the staff and funding mostly). I remember the Week the avatar system was added (which replaced the house system I've accepted will probably never happen) and just the sheer amount of chaos that happened. The new pets over the years. The plots. Getting to learn more about all the darling NPCs on the website.
The really big thing that always stuck with me about Subeta is the community though. The forums. The sheer love of the staff. The fact that this was a pet site made for 'older people' and it has never shied away from blood or being queer. That it is unapologetically here.
The Endless Possibilities on Subeta for Pet Creation, Unlimited Amount of Pets On One Account, And The Fact That the Overwhelming Majority of Site and Staff talk to and listen to one another.
14 years and I've never not loved this site; I cam here from GaiaOnline, after being locked out of my Neopets Account(s), because of a random user's signature, and have never looked back.

I love how there's something for everyone. You can talk to people, collect items, create awesome HAs, customize and battle pets, and participate in events throughout the year.
17 years?! I just checked my account and I joined 16 years and 8 months ago...I haven't been playing the entire time but I recently came back again after various hiatuses...I remember seeing a post about Subeta on the forum of another pet site all those years ago and never looked back! I convinced so many family members to join so we could all hang out online. I'm the only one who still plays but something about this place always keeps me coming back. What I've always loved is the art style - the pets and colours are so creative and the amount of new items never end. Admittedly it's a bit overwhelming each time I come back because I feel like I've missed so much, but at the same time there is a lot that's familiar and "homey". I've recently re-discovered the exciting wardrobe feature so I'm going to spend some time designing avatars and finding new wish list items. Thanks for being a wonderful constant after all of these years, happy 17th anniversary!
Wow I can't believe it's been 17 years, and I've been here for almost 15 of those! I love that the Subeta team takes users' feedback into consideration for new features and items. My favorite things about Subeta are the wardrobe & plots/special events which introduced to me to my favorite NPC:

One thing I really appreciate about this site is how often staff really listens to user suggestions. Several items I have suggested have made it on site, and that really makes me feel good to know that user voices are heard. Thank you so much for making me feel valued. ❤
The diversity of NPCs is another big win. I loves me some platonic life partnerships. ❤
I love all the items that reference things. (I want to get the entire collection of Watership Down and Plague Dogs reference items! And anything that references The Princess Bride! And and and.. XD) I love collecting things, and the little item descriptions!
My favorite thing to do though is all year from January to December I collect things in my vault, and then when Luminaire Trees are released for putting gifts under, I flood my IRL Spouse's () tree with all the things I collected for them during the year, because then that way I can make sure they have an awesome Christmas even if I can't afford IRL presents for them. :)

Forever grateful for my friendships here and the many others too numerous to count, including those we've lost along the way.
And also have really loved working with the great staff at SL and our beloved and getting to know them.
I have been here for a long time and I really have some wonderful friends and memories from it all.
What I love most is: Nostalgia: I have been on subeta for a long time, since 2009. I lost my first account but made this one in 2012. I joined during Luminaire and shortly after experienced survival and that was really fun. Wardrobe: the wardrobe is what makes subeta stand out. I along with many other users remember a time where there were no CWs and the wardrobe was a lot smaller. Back then you could only save 3 outfits and 5 with a GA. So you really had to pick your favorite outfits to keep, and I used to have to keep a booklet with the items for outfits written in order to save what I made. It was stressful, but now with the CW market expanded (and not so ridiculously expensive) we can make countless outfits and save hundreds without even owning the item! THAT IS SO COOL. The wardrobe and collecting my favorite CWs is why I am still around, I love expressing myself and making art through the wardrobe The community: I haven't been too active in the community, but most users are very nice and helpful. I would also love to thank my beautiful fiancé for joining Subeta this year and enjoying the new wardrobe and steamwork pets.
I am very glad to see this site is growing and getting stronger and not declining. The new subscription system is WAY awesome and a great idea to get money monthly and also give us perks good enough we want to pay. $5 for 500 CSC was kinda meh but $10 a month for all you get is way cool and I can use the buddy GA for my fiance.
I only have one suggestion for the site and that is just more plots! I know they're hard to organize and take a lot of time and more art to make and sometimes a new flash game but I just love the plots so much especially during Moro <3
I love Morostide and the fact that Jax is gay and married it just nice to see anything with gay guys <3
Happy Anniversary! I love the sense of community on this site, over the years Subeta has really grown to allow people to express themselves and show who they really are in a safe and friendly environment. I think everyone can feel at home here, no matter how hard life offline can be!
I wish I found this site 15 years ago. I felt at home the moment I joined. I love the items, the art style, the descriptions, the avatar options, the pet choices, the flexibility and freedom, how there’s good stuff still available for free, the community, the generosity of the staff. Hands down best site I’ve ever joined. Here’s to 17 more years and more!
Happy Anniversary! I can't believe I have been here for over 14 years. :D I want to say thank you to all the staff that make this place very special. I really just love the atmosphere. Everyone is friendly and nice, which makes this a genuinely fun place to spend some of my free time. I love my friends, wardrobe/HA , the achievements and all the cute items we always get.
Happy anniversary! I've been here 10? Years and it been awesome watching the site grow and add more inclusive items. I was bouncing between gaia and here for the human avatar dress up but Subeta has a great plot and a more welcoming atmosphere. Thanks for ALL your hard work and I look forward to seeing how the site developed more!!!
Happy Anniversary, Subeta! I've been here for 13 years, alternating between Neopets and Club Penguin. Watching the site just fully grow and grow and grow has been a bittersweet moment, because I have been, as well. From punching in the security codes at the shops when buying, to now, the flash games, the ever changing aesthetics, HA diversity, CWs and events. I'm so happy to have been a member of this site, from here to however long I can!
Happy Anniversary! I've been a member for 13 years. My daughter created an account first, but she was a young teen, so I had to check it out to make sure it was safe first. I liked it so much, I ended up creating my own account! I'm a collector, so I like the stickers, plushies, beanbags, etc.

Subeta is now the Dancing Queen! Congrats! For me it definitely is the friendships I've made and the wardrobe. I also love the characters you guys have created. heck yeah.
When I first started Subeta this was a place for escapism for me. I was in a really bad place physically and mentally. Subeta helped me cope with that.
Over the years I've met a lot of great people through Subeta who have pushed me to manage a lot of the mental health problems I was struggling with, so you could say my favorite part of Subeta now is that through it, I've become genuinely happy. :)
I'm a week or so old, new to this site, and was invited by my friend but so far i think it's hard to choose my favourite thing. The people here have been so nice and welcoming. The pets are really cute and I love the ability to edit my pet's profiles and give them stories. The customisation is amazing and i love the human avatars!! There's so much so far to love about the site!!

I'm the only one of my OG friends group to still be here, and I joined three and a half years into its run (after losing my former pet babies on another site and was definitely burned by it).
I adore the site layout and how easy it is to restock/gather pet treasures across the site; GA's are easy to purchase and are quick as anything to top up; I'm -obsessed- with the wearables and am totally enamored by just how many pets we're able to have here <3!
I LOVE the art and the creativity around here (I mean, Pet Spotlight is AMAZING every darn week!! Y'alls should be proud AF for how many adorable pets ya have!!!), and the rampant excitement whenever something new is released or items are re-released back into the fold for those of us who missed them the first go-around.
As for item...oh boy that's such a difficult choice! Probably this particular CW as it matches my fursona a little too well haha: And pet-wise...you won't get much of a choice out of me: THEY'RE ALL SPECIAL AND I LOVE THEM <3 <3 <3

I've met a lot of wonderful people here over the years and I thank you all for your friendship.
I enjoying pet training, questing and battling. All the artwork is amazing and the site events are a lot of fun.
I finally figured out how to make my avatar look nice with the wardrobe feature.

I’m the only one of my friend group still on here, but I still love how well Subeta balances the social aspects, the pets and all details of them, the avatar and clothing, as well as collecting and other gaming parts. I marvel at it, even almost 13 years after migrating here from uh, a different site. Subeta has community, and longevity. I can keep coming back to it and find new and exciting things to entertain me and give me that escape. Thank you for that. ❤️

I love that Subeta was one of the first websites that my siblings and I all loved and got to spend time on together. I appreciate all those happy memories and all the new friends I've made throughout my time here.
I love this pet site because its not run by complete idiots like the rest of them. I think I'm in my 14th year and I don't think I have ever complained about it being dull and boring. That right there is a total rarity LOL Keith is awesome, as is his Staff. They all try their best and are always on top of things and planning new stuff for us. I like coming here and relaxing when life has me stressed to the max.
One thing I do miss tho, are the Anniversary items. I loved getting them in years gone by. Maybe next time we can get them back? (hint hint) LOL Maybe some more Halloween, Greg Nicotero looking Zombie skins??? :-D

my favorite thing about the site is that the traditionally cute and pretty stuff you expect of a site like this coexists so peacefully with the aesthetic of stuff like the experiments and the zombies, with neither being treated as superior to the other

Definitely the friendships I've made on Subeta are my favourite thing about this place. ❤ I also just really appreciate that this is a place I can keep coming back to for years. I've played Subeta longer than any other game. Like, it's hard to remember a time when Subeta WASN'T a part of my life.

I really like how Subeta has been a consistently good place. Good people, good events, good art. I've been many places on the internet that were good for awhile but faded overtime or changed direction in a way I didn't like. I've loved a lot of the events here especially.

Some of my favorite things along the way: The creation of CW's, The High Council (IYKYK), Restock Wars (BRING THEM BACK), pet pages, the HA system is second-to-none, our queen Nicole Richie, & the Shoutbox -- remember when staff could change their SB backgrounds?

I joined the site pre-reset on June 23rd, 2004. I met my best friend here the following month. I was 13. Fast forward to 2013, my best friend I met on Subeta flew out to my college graduation and officially became my best IRL friend. We live a little closer together now, halfway across the country instead of all the way across, but now we see each other in person once or twice a year.
I never would've met her without Subeta and its little shout box at the time. I love Subeta for what it's given me. I might not be super active anymore, but I'm still around. Here's to hoping we'll get some more storyline plots. I sure do miss those, too. Heh. I still remember when the pirates unexpectedly won against the islanders... fun times. That update took a while.
