Quest-A-Thon: WOW so many quests done!

Y’ALL ARE AMAZING. Over 450,000 quests and we’re not even done with day two!

Just to clear up a question we’ve gotten a few times regarding that top 100 prize:

We expect a lot of ties. The way we’re going to be awarding this prize is each of those 100 places are their own separate thing. Say we have 4,291 users complete every single quest available. They would tie for that first slot. If 329 people missed only one quest, they’d all tie for that second spot! You could miss 100 quests over the quest-a-thon and still place within that top 100.

We figured this was the fairest way to make sure people are awarded for their hard work! We didn’t want to make it the first 100 people to do all their quests or just give it to anyone that did every single quest and call it a day.

Bold of you to assume that I actually cared about placing in the top 100 in the first place :v

What I don't like is you incorrectly concluding that I'm not capable of basic reading ability, which is why I'm reappearing here to tell you that I did indeed read the post thoroughly. It's just that by the time I posted the comment below, I had already missed enough quests to not make the top 100.

Yeah, like Hollieangel said. I'm out of the running since I do not want to shove my money elsewhere for Sarah quests, and I do occasionally skip/quit Quentin/Alexander quests, because I like profit and I will lose a lot of money if I do every single quest of Quentin's when he asks for items worth 50k+ xD

Personally, I like the blue avatar border better than the gold (you can preview them in the wardrobe), so I don't care if I get in the top or not. I'll help until we reach our goal, but will probably only do Saggi and Wizard after that.

To give people without a GA some hope of a top 100, there are probably more people like me with GAs that 1: Totally forgot this was happening and only logged on today and 2: Can't do Sarah's Quests (or BB/Carl? I can) because they're too rich and don't know how/want to move their SP in ways that have been suggested on other news posts. So good luck all. 🤞

I do quests during Subeta night ( that is my morning) could it be this ? Quentin is always stingy with me , maximum 2 amulets for 15 quests

- I appreciate the push of positivity, but doing the math, I am unable to be in the top 100 as of right now. It's mathematically impossible, unless everyone else doesn't quest for two days. Therefore, it's been fun (not really), but another drop in the bucket of me leaving Subeta forever. This plan also really screws users who don't have a GA. It's just all around not cool in my book, but I know I'm in the minority on that.

That's just poor RNG, I got 6 amulets from Quentin on monday, and 3 on tuesday.

The pet slot, forum title and blue avatar border will be awarded to every user that has participated in the event (ie done at least 1 quest before the end of the Quest-a-Thon next Friday). The only prize that is going to be awarded to only some participants is the golden avatar border :)

I am slow. So I'm asking to be sure I get it. The pet slot, is everyone getting it, even if they played only one quest out of all, once the goal is met? Or you have to be in some top to get the PS? Please explain like you would do it for a 3 yrs old, because that might be my psychological age...Thanks :)

Is anyone else having issues with being told they are not on a quest even though they were? I keep getting the same error page and have to refresh since it won't let me "finish" the quest and I don't want to "quit" the quests.

Theres no need to insinuate I did not read. I did read the news post, and the way that the gold border will be awarded is such that the first 100 spots will get it. People can tie for slots, but basically if you miss over 100 quests, there is a strong chance you will fail to place in the top 100, because 1st place will likely go to all the people who did not miss any quest, while 2nd place will go to all the people who missed a single quest, while 3rd place will go to all the people who missed 2 quests. Since theres 100 "places," missing 100 (or more) quests dramatically decreases your chance for receiving the gold border. That being said, it's hard to say where users will end up placing as people lose motivation to complete quests once we do hit that goal, so there is a chance that people who missed over 100 quests can still place in that "top 100"

We were never in the running, mate XD Even at maximum participation, gold accounts can do 45/50 more quests than we can, which is 50+ potential finishing places added in front of us every day. The only way blue accounts could be in the running for the gold user border is if enough gold users skipped the exact same number of quests so that "missed 700 quests" (which is what doing maximum blue quests for two weeks looks like to a paid user) falls into a top-100 place, which doesn't seem likely.

No matter how many people tie for first place (with +1 or +2 bonus quests and no skips), and for second (with one less bonus wizard quest or whatever), the only way -700 is placing in the top 100 places is if there are 600 "quests completed: __" numbers that somehow no one lands on. And that's still only if you've done every single quest.

Whoever finally added a sidebar alert for the extra quest buff, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Seriously, I would have missed it if not for that. I panicked at having to clear my inventory though cause I was fragging, and even fragging gives the 504 error as well as quick stock and removign items from the vault >-<

It doesn't. Firstly, just because you have a GA doesn't automatically mean you have access to BB or Carl, secondly if you would properly read the explanation on how prizes are going to be rewarded you theory makes no sense. Say every user that has access to all quests has a GA and they do all the quests, that would make them ALL tie for first.

Each day has 155 possible quests for GA users, which means that if they missed one full day, they would be out of contention. Maybe that's what they mean.

I second what suggested instead of adding extra rewards at the end make each quest have a chance at something interesting if we pass a million early. This would motivate me since I don't want the pet slot and won't make the top 100.

Yo Subeta Team, can we get the counter extended so we can watch along with how many quests are being completed after we pass 1,000,000? Because heart warningly enough, we are going to pass 1,000,000 in the next two days- and that will be eight ahead of schedule!!

Also I'm now deeply interested in how many active users Subeta actually has and where in the world were all located. Can we have a poll set up about this please?

Will the 504 errors ever go away so moving around the site is easier please? I get the errors when trying to put items in my shop using quick stock feature. I even purchased a gold account medal to help with the quest-a-thon. I'm recovering from intestine surgery so I can help out with the site event as much as I'm able to :).

I enjoy events where we all can work together to complete a task. Thank you for the opportunity to take part in this fun event ❤.

Maybe instead of adding new prizes, you could make it so that if we reach the goal early, the quests themselves will give out extra prizes, like older holiday items again (although if you could change which ones are given out so we don't get too many of the same ones that would be good) or just making them all weekend quests, although I do like the idea of rereleasing the challenger and wearable from 2018 (I have both already but I would just like for other people to have the chance to get things that were only available during certain events).

The additional Prize for going beyond the requirement might be kept secret/a surprise. I seem to remember, that we DID get something before, when we did exceptionally well.

Wait, this is in addition to the pet slot for taking part and collectively doing 1 million quests or instead of?

Previously I would use a 1wk upgrade and hit all the quests I could. Lately however I've been finding my ideal time to do quests coincides with when the shops aren't refreshing much, if at all. So they are more expensive to do and sometimes not worth it. So I've been reluctant to jump in as much as I used to this time.

We're suggesting stretch goals to keep people interested in the site, to get the economy moving. I made millions overnight from my shop, I haven't seen that in ages. A moving economy is good.
