Quest-A-Thon: WOW so many quests done!

Y’ALL ARE AMAZING. Over 450,000 quests and we’re not even done with day two!

Just to clear up a question we’ve gotten a few times regarding that top 100 prize:

We expect a lot of ties. The way we’re going to be awarding this prize is each of those 100 places are their own separate thing. Say we have 4,291 users complete every single quest available. They would tie for that first slot. If 329 people missed only one quest, they’d all tie for that second spot! You could miss 100 quests over the quest-a-thon and still place within that top 100.

We figured this was the fairest way to make sure people are awarded for their hard work! We didn’t want to make it the first 100 people to do all their quests or just give it to anyone that did every single quest and call it a day.

Seriously, it'd be so nice to give more people a chance at previous rewards that can't be gotten any other way.

We are at 50% of the goal done, after two days. I don'T think the caps need to be moved, we're gonna hit a million over the next ten days.

Probably been mentioned, and I get not adding stretch goals for only the top questers who go over their marks to keep it fair. But maybe add one that EVERYONE will recieve if we make say 1.5mill. Even if they only did one quest we all unlock like a sticker or something? Just an idea. I know that I personally won't be motivated to keep questing past the original goal once we make it there.

Stretch goals are additional collective goals, not additional individual, to get people to remain active even though the quest-a-thon is not ending until next Friday.

Just make them more participation prizes. Like, it could be past forum titles, Evil Morty Challenger and Fashion Hoodie.

wait, i don't get it -- if all the prizes outside of the gold avatar border are given to you so long as you do one quest, how does anyone miss out on prizes announced after they stopped questing? wouldn't they still qualify for everything besides the top 100?

I understand the reasoning that you dont want to disappoint users by adding goals in the middle and then we don't meet the goals, but imo keeping the forward momentum of actual user activity is important as well! Not to mention, I think we're still at the stage where people are still being diligent about the quests, since we haven't actually crossed that goal line. So I think the timing would still be great for announcing further incentives to encourage further questing! Otherwise the event will just kind of be like.. over and everyone can just stop after 5 days.

But I've already missed over 100 with not being able to load anything yesterday. Plus not being able to do Sarah's...

Was afraid this news post would be about there initially being an error in the way quests were counted & each completed was actually counting more than once or something.

Can anything be done about quests that have had to be skipped due to unavailability of items? (Thinking particularly of Maleria requesting Bleeding Rose of Deepest Darkness, of which 0 were available in shops on the first day.)

just wondering. since Sarah 15 quests are only for the lower Sp .. since people with higher amounts cant do them .. how does that impact higher Sp holders or is there a way to do them that im missing?

If we go over the amount of our goal by like, another mil or so, I'd think it would be cool to have an additional prize, like a clothing voucher or something. I don't necessarily need more pet spots (I think I'm sitting on one or two right now that I'll probably never use), so maybe a different additional prize of some sort.

I could not finish some of the quest last night because the site crashed does this mean I have no chance at the top prize? I can not do Sarah's quest unless I bank my money and that is not going to happen!

I understand not wanting to penalize people who skip out early once the goal is reached, but what if we double our collective goal of 1 million quests to 2 million? Or even triple it? At this point that is looking likely. Would you guys consider making it so that everyone could get two pet slots instead of just one?

Nice. I admit I was a bit worried about a potential kerfuffle regarding the Wizard Quest buff giving some people extra quests. Now that it's less random I am less concerned, lol.

Thanks for the clarification! I was worried because I missed 15 quests (Sarah's) yesterday because I wasn't sure we were allowed to store sP in order to do them.
