- I just found out this past evening that we have a confirmed case in my county, too. My husband carpools quite far to work each day, and in that county, they've already got 28 cases. I was thinking that since that area now has a 'stay at home' order... the factory he works at would close for awhile. But no... he's still got to go to work, because apparently they are classified as an 'essential business'. How, I'm not sure.
Anyhow, we felt like at least we were safe in the evenings here at home, but now finding out there has been a confirmed case here, too, I feel a little like we are living in the twilight zone. We'll all get through this... somehow.
I wasn't overly concerned until today when I found out there is a confirmed case in my town, which is a rural area with no tourists or large airport. But I can't stay home unless the office where I work tells me to. Anyway, what happened to the promised excitement in the news post? Is that still coming up?

Dont worry bro, its alright. I understand all the frustration and see it everywhere. I know im not an expert with diseases and I honestly wish I could stay home. Our country is not gonna lock down but they closed schools, lots of jobs etc and all the people are just outside making noise, having fun like they dont take anything seriously. Children see it as summerbreak and here I am working in the night. Now suffering lack of sleep. You know I wish they did lock it down completely. bro.. thats not why they're locking things down. its to slow the spread because there literally aren't enough hospital beds and respirators. please visit the CDC website, do some research, and figure out the following: what is herd immunity? how do diseases work? what is a pandemic? how come china is recovering so well? i understand having to work, i don't blame you. stay informed and protect the people at risk by staying at home as much as possible.

I work in a power plant and I dont see us sitting home. Yes we must protect the old and the weak, I never said everyone must build up immunity. But locking down everything until a vaccin is made is in my opinion overdramatic. Locking down everything for 3 weeks for example wil not magically make the virus disappear. I know from myself that I am strong against such things and go outside and go to work. But if I knew I.was weak

It's perfectly understandable that you feel the need to still go to work, but it's really frustrating to hear someone say that this is overblown and people just need to build up immunity. For some folks, that might work. The problem is that you could possibly transmit it to someone with a chronic health issue who has a messed up immune system. Someone like me, for example.

My kids any I go out and do the shopping for our elderly neighbours without having contact. They leave a basket with the shopping list/some money in on the doorstep and the kids (or I ) get them, do the shopping and then leave the shoppong (with money) on the doorstep, ring and leave to the other side of the street, just to make sure, the people get their shopping.
I know this can be hard, I will restart working in my job as social worker in a retirement home on thurstday (yeah) and I am sort of fearing our relatives are not that understanding XD
But we will see!

I will continue to have to work but the dining facilities at my workplace have been closed; I'm currently the only one in my household who can work right now due to closures so it's a blessing in disguise since the bills keep piling up. I hope that everyone is safe and healthy during this time.
I visited my Mum today. I could only go to her window. Her facility was locked down. I am grateful for that, but damn. It's hard not being able to hug her or help her with things. cries Best of luck to us all.

I work in a school and we had to shut down. I still have to report in and help where needed. It has been very stressful and down right saddening for me, so a little excitment is a welcome distraction.

I was just ordered to self-isolate by my doctor. I could badly use this distraction right now, especially if boss tells me to use my paid time off/sick time instead of telecommuting.

Being an older player I'm a little anxious with what's going on in the world. Being on a severely limited income doesn't help when so many folks out there are buying needed necessities off the shelves. I had to actually beg neighbours for a few spare rolls of TP and assistance with small things like soups and bread even since all these were not to be found at any store I went to. Very sad that so many people feel they are better than others... makes me wonder why I get out of bed some days!

Lavatevi spesso le mani e se uscite per fare la spesa evitate contatti con altre persone, tenetevi minimo a un metro di distanza e portate sempre con voi un disinfettante per le mani e mascherina per proteggervi, non toccatevi mai naso bocca e occhi se state fuori dall'ambiente domestico, IL COVID 19 passa oltre che per vie respiratorie anche da li. Qui ci sono tantissimi morti maggior parte sono anziani ma ci sono stati casi anche di ragazzi. Vi prego non sottovalutate questo Virus che si sta diffondendo in tutto il mondo. qui a Roma da dove vi scrivo e in tutta Italia è una settimana che non usciamo da casa, esce una persona sola della famiglia solo se indispensabile per fare spesa o per medicine e altro genere di prima necessità. Hanno lasciato aperti solo i negozi di generi alimentari, farmacie, banche e uffici postali ma per queste ultime due ci suggeriscono di usare il servizio online. Vi prego rispettate le regole che il vostro governo vi darà, evitate incontri con amici per il momento feste e qualsiasi altro tipo di raggruppamento e ricordate che questo anche se all'inizio potrà sembrare una punizione non è altro che un buon consiglio per salvare voi e le vostre famiglie.
