2048 Is Back!

well that was disappointing. I finally reach 2048, send my score... and nothing happened. I got no prize. Just a message "You've earned the 2048 Master achievement!" What was the point of sending the score? It doesn't even keep your highest record. T_T

OMG IKR ? I still need the 2048 achievement so at least I have a legitimate reason to play, even if I lose hours at the time....

Oh I totally agree I'm having to force myself not to go to the Games section because I know that once I'm there I'll be drawn to the game, and once I'm sucked in it takes hours to get out again!! I already have the achievement from first time round, but still can't resist.....Heeeelllllllllppppppppppp!

Adding in another voice for wanting sP payout. I got the 2048 achievement, enjoyed the game (I had never played it before the plot -- so Subeta was my first introduction to it), but will likely not play it again without an sP incentive since there are other things I'd rather be doing to further my "progress" on site.

I'd suggest a 10k max per send, similar to several other games on site. I don't see this as being any easier than the mine game or the sudoku game (too lazy to look up the in-game names at the moment XD).

I personally highly doubt that people will hack the game to make a measly 100k max a day (which isn't much on this site -- but would still be enough to get me to play it more!). Because it's still such a low amount, I also don't think it'd take away from the idea of "playing it to pass the time". You can make 10k a lot faster doing other things on site. You would still essentially be doing it to pass the time... but you could feel a little better about it by knowing your getting a little something from it.

What said... what a really weird reason for this to not award sP. All your games are like games that already exist in the world what.

And also like says too, maybe tell people on the page they're not going to get sP for wasting time with this?

Thanks for pointing out the lack of tiles above 2048, guys! I’ll make sure to let the artists know so maybe we can get a few higher tiles :)

We used the open source code for this, which means it’s very easy to hack it like grace said. The other games we’ve done we’ve built (yes the idea is the same as others out there). Your score is the highest tile you have on the board! So if you get a 2048 title, that’s your score :)

Awesome! This was a fun, challenging game and my kid got a kick out of watching the symbols combine so he'd ask me to play sometimes lol

I would think having a sP reward would encourage users to play 2048 on Subeta, as opposed to other sites with games.

A couple people have pointed this out already, but there is no 4096 tile! When two 2048 tiles merge together you get.... another 2048 tile :(

I looove this game. I don't really see why it doesn't award sP - people can still play it for nice, meditative fun beyond the 10 times where you'd get sP. It's not like it will give out millions of sP; the payout I assume would be fairly minor, so no one would feel "penalized" if they don't play it (as is the case for every other game in the Games Room).

I'm weirded out why it isn't rewarding sp. Because most of the games are subeta versions of games existing somewhere else and those games are all considered a nice way to waste your time. So according to that logic the only game that should have an sp reward Mazes & Mahars (which is for me the only game I never played on another site before.

I would love to get a bit of sp for it and more importantly ... more achievements. I got to 2048 in 5 minutes :p

I don't mind not getting sP for it, but I would love to see a score for yourself. So you can beat your own score, which gives more incentive to keep playing?
