i just wanted to post again to clarify about the rewards thing. i feel like y'all are putting more emphasis on the "hacking" part of what i said before and less on the fact that we really wanted to stick to this game's roots as something to pass the time! if you played 2048 anywhere else you're not going to get rewarded for it, you're just playing it because you enjoy it and/or you want to see how far you can get. we love the simplicity of just playing a game for the sake of it, and that was honestly a big part of the decision!
we want you guys to have something that you play because you want to play it, not just to get sp out of it. if you're not a 2048 person, you'll never feel "penalized" for not playing. and if you are, now you can have a subeta-themed option to throw into your rotation!

Thank you! I was so sad when I found out about the 2048 achievement in the plot and wasn't able to go back and try again. I somehow miraculously got the achievement now on my first try xD :D
Thanks for the info, grelca, about why there's no sP. I am sad there's no sP, but if there's a danger of hacking, it only makes sense.

So I guess we shouldn't get any sp for mystic spindles or subeku or saheric slide or blackout or divine discs because those are all "easy" to "hack" or just follow a guide online to get the answer. Cause that makes sense. >.>

so that was the first time i've ever won 2048 and the last time i ever will. now i can leave 2048 exactly where it belongs: in the fond memories of watching my classmates play it in front of me during freshman year lectures.

Done, ez! Thanks for game ^^ What about making more achieves like 4096, 8192, 1638 etc... And it will be fine, if you make some "high scores" tab... and it will be just AWESOME, if we can see our score, not only tales.
I guess you could make the argument about it being open source, but I mean... There's a very easy strategy for playing Bones that guarantees a win, but you can still play that for sP and item prize once a day. And I've seen people saying on the forums to just google the strategy for lights out too. I guess my point is, a lot of games currently on-site give out item/sP prizes even though they're easy to "hack" or look up strategies/solutions for to guarantee winning. What has been countering that is limitations like being able to play only once every couple of hours or something. It would be nice if we could have limited sP or item prizes, or could play the game as much as we like but only send score once every 4 hours or something. I just say this cuz it would be fun to get something out of the game, especially exclusive themed items like with Reflection and Mind Reader - it would be a nice bonus and something to try for :)
Also, the point about hacking seems to apply to the achievement as well (people who want to "hack" it could also just hack for the 2048 achievement) though I guess it doesn't matter as much since there's no prize other than the forum title.
Well here I was thinking that I left the 2048 addiction behind me.
Okay... I love this, but am disappointed that there's no sP award. The only award really is the achievement, and that's just a one-and-done thing.
May I make a suggestion? Instead of an sP award, maybe it would be fun to have themed items that you can randomly get when sending score? And the higher your score, the better the chance of getting one of the random items, or something like that.
Of course, maybe there is no sP award for now and I'm 100% okay with that if staff is planning to add some item or sP prizes in the future... :o

well see here's the thing. 2048 has always just been kind of a time-wasting game, not a game to play for rewards anywhere before subeta. but more than that, it's also open source. that means anyone can download and look at and manipulate the game however they want. we just used that open source game and put our own images in it. and being open source means that it's very, very easy for pretty much anyone to "hack" the game. so with all that in mind, we decided to simply make an achievement for it and let it be what it's always been, a game to play to pass the time. :)
No sP reward? D: What's the point then? That's disappointing...
Maybe I will finally get the hang of it this time :P

A way to see past scores would be awesome, as well as showing your score. I know you can count it, but thats a pain in the boot.
