Happy New Year’s!

We’ve updated the New Years Shop a bit, so items from previous years should show up in their correct tab. Before, the shop was based on when an item was added to the site, which meant items added before midnight of the first would show up in the tab for the previous year. This is no longer the case, so it should be a lot easier to find items!

New Year Tokens are going out via random events and quests this year until 11:59pm on January 10th. The Bathhouse also has a chance of giving them out year round, so don’t worry too much if you don’t have enough tokens for everything by the 10th!

I wear many hats, so yeah I end up exploring the site more. I’ll take another look tonight on how many tokens have gone out via REs so far and see if I need to adjust the chance a bit more; they’re not supposed to get you too many but at least help your collection a bit! I plan on making them a bit more frequent via quests about halfway (there will be a news post and what not when I do that)!

i'm doing the quests but honestly not getting very many. also don't explore the site too much. you probably explore it much more as a mod/admin (??). i'm trying i'm just really getting unlucky, i think.

and I are very much of the mindset that we want it to be a challenge for you to get all the items, especially the items we brought back from years ago that we didn’t originally plan on bringing back! That’s why items from years before the New Year shop was a thing are more expensive.

Have you been doing quests? That’s where you’re going to get the bulk of your coins. I’ve gotten about 12 or 13 coins from REs so far, How much are you exploring the site (I realize that I explore the site a lot more than regular users so my count for REs are likely a bit higher)?

hmm i only found about 50 tokens from all of today's quests (including both Sarah and Saggypants) and 4 or 5 from REs. it's fine. i just need well over 1000. it's fine...really...guys it's fine...i'm fine.

but happy new year!! thanks for all the hard work and cool improvements made last year, i can't wait to see what this year holds :)

yes, well, i'm still not getting them through REs. i appreciate receiving them as quest prizes, but i've only gotten two out of REs since midnight, even while questing, and i'm already done for the day.

There’s a wishlist issue people have brought up in the P&B thread. Post you’re having issues too (with details like what browser you’re using etc) so programmers have plenty of info. :) That’s why we have it as quests AND random event. You have a chance to get a few from REs while you’re going around the site / doing your quests ;) Were you using the wishlist feature at all?

ugh, i hate RE-based things. i think the average for me was one fairy a day in december? which was very discouraging. i have a lot to catch up on, too, which makes it that much more frustrating. :/

Me too. I can have other pages up on Subeta and they work a-ok, but that page will run slow, then stop working all together. Reloading it doesn't work, I have been closing the tab when it hangs up and opening a new tab by clicking on the link in this post. I can look at/wishlist about 5-8 things and then it hangs up. Windows 10, Chrome here.

My computer freezes when I look at the new years items, then refuses to load anything or let me put things on my wishlist. It also happened on the presents page.It makes it really hard to participate in anything, is this a server issue? My computer has an incredible processor so it's not that. Definitely not trying to be rude, I'm just wondering if this is a server thing or if there's some inherent issue (it's happened for me from two different laptops, same issue).

I haven't received any random events so far so I will need to do quests Q__Q a lot of super pretty items! I wish the fish were in different positions so you could use more than one on the HA, but I love the art. Hopefully 2017 will be a great year!

, I didn't mean as a wearable, I meant as an ordinary variety minion. It's very well drawn, but I'd feel like a fraud putting it in my gallery unless it's classified as minion (am I too pedantic?)
