Updates on Summer Raffle

Thank you for being patient with us while we fixed the Summer Raffle’s issue with making scrolls. For those of you unaware, when you tried to make a scroll it wouldn’t count towards your list.

Scrolls and training should be working from here on out as far as tracking goes. We’ve cleared scrolls and training from peoples lists that were on between midnight and the time of this post; so people later in the day might have to make a scroll or train their pet.

We’ve also updated the “plant a seed” task, where it counts if you plant a seed OR water your plant!

Remember that raffles are a risk. We understand not every task will be quick or cheap, but we made sure the prizes are worth it. You’ll have to decide if you want to spend the sP at a chance for cash shop credits, random cash shop items, referral points, and random pawn shop custom wearables we’ve removed from the shop.

Just another reminder that you have to check your task list before doing dailies, etc. For things like training or bonding with minions, you need to start a fresh training session (and wait for your pet to get out) or start bonding with a new minion so that the tasks track. This is why visiting the bathhouse first and then your task list won’t count towards taking a dip in the pool. It might take a few minutes for a task to update to being checked off on your list, too. Keep that in mind!

Once you’ve completed all 10 tasks for the day, make sure to hit the ‘enter’ button to enter the raffle! :)

I strongly suggest everyone keep an eye on the Donation Center! :) We've been adding scroll ingredients and baked goods there.

Agreeing that the price gouging on some of these items is ridiculous, and losing a bit of respect for those people buying up items and inflating the price to said amounts. It's all good to see some of the items going up - you expect that in an sP-sink event, but the Subeta team needs to take an effort to release more of the needed items if they notice specific ones are getting too high.

I knew this would cause inflation but holy shit. 2 mill for a single empty vial? That's ridiculous. That's even more ridiculous than buying a 1 mill baking kit and getting burnt cookies out of it. Ugh.

(sorry to bother you, but I'm not too sure who to ping, honestly) is there any way that a game (or games) that absolutely cannot even be started on mobile, like net gain, could not be included? Or given an option to change it? This is the second day I haven't been able to enter because I can only access the site through mobile. :/

Baking is too expensive! Just saying. Two days in a row to bake stuff... and I just don't want to. Thanks for the Free gift starter kit and for the Sagittarius bonus weekend. It is the only reason why I am going through with spending the 1mil in the MC on potentially burnt cookies. It doesn't kill me but I just don't like it.

I couldn't even do the ones for today because the first one was Fantine's Bakery, and she required items that are hundreds of thousands of dollars to make, and that's too much to spend just for a chance to possibly win something. :/

I had that same problem! I think there's probably going to be some come out of the woodwork, but hopefully more show up somehow to make it so more than three or so can do it! :)

There should be like an "oops" option... Where you can pay a certain amount of sp or csc to make up for something you did prior to opening the raffle page... But you only get like 2 the whole time...

Also p.s. you might be pretty careful about using the words 'raffle' and especially 'gamble'. "Consideration" varies a lot under the law, but some states/countries are much stricter, and you will generally have to defer to them unless you exclude those users. I know Subeta is probably too small to garner any attention, but better safe than sorry is usually the best course. Link (pdf). Standard IANAL but it just struck me when I saw gamble and I remembered to double check today.

Thanks for updating the news post on the scrolls/training.

Was baking actually changed from success to attempt, or is that just the wording of the task being borderline? I don't have it so I don't know.

If it was changed, that's good. If it's the wording it might need to be clearer. Again, I don't know. The earlier comments certainly made it sound like you had to succeed - or at least that people took it that way.

I really like the idea of this raffle BUT....there is a task requiring us to book one of our pets into the Rathskeller Inn. For those of us who regularly book all of our pets into the Resort for 21 days, and we still have 13 days left for all pets in the Resort (like myself)...we're SOL for this raffle if that requirement keeps coming up. And as far as I know there's no way to have our pets leave the Resort early so that we can complete the task. :(

Man I'd donate a lot of csc and a bunch of prizes if it could help the pool :/ I really like the concept of this raffle but to me, the potential prizes really don't equal some of the tasks that are asked.

I am so glad I chose to zap my experiment pet and luckily it changed to chibi phew, just had to buy a common potion. But I'm seriously NOT GAMBLING THAT AGAIN.

Thanks! Yeah, I have my "baby" pets that I only train haphazardly. They only need a little over an hour to train, and since I don't train them consistently, a couple should be available any time for the task when and if I get it.

For the Fantine thing, I can confirm that you only need to set up the baking. I had her on my list today and as soon as the item went in the oven, I got my checkmark. Also, for the record I burned the item.

Unfortunately you have to put a pet in for training and then wait for training to be complete (and click the button on the training page) for it to count. Lypsyl - if you have any low stat pet, I'd suggest using that one since the time will be much shorter.

Yeah, my interpretation is that it's only increasing the total number not the total value (based on the wording). Which is great and all, but doesn't mitigate the cost in any way. I get that this is both an "explore the site" and sP sink kind of event, but there's a massive imbalance in some of the costs here. Scroll making will likely be next to impossible for people who don't hoard ingredients by the last few days. Baking is only saved by the starter kit (but again, that's still approximately 1m a go if you used the free one already and have to buy from the mil center) - although to be fair, it does seem like you just have to set something to bake according to other commenters rather than successfully bake something.

I'm a little confused by the training thing. My training pet requires nearly 10 hours to train. Does that mean that if I visit the raffle page, see I need training, train my main pet, I then have to wait 10 hours before I can submit my raffle entry?

I know you didn't nec mean to ping me, but:

I could see it going either way. No. of prizes as in number of choices/things chosen to be prizes vs. No. of prizes as in flat # of each x prize going out. Either way, my concern is still how much/little they might 'increase' by - either way of increasing. And again, not guarding more against inflation. That's the biggie.

Although previous to this I hadn't seen 's quote down the thread (sounded like you had heard more so I checked it out). It certainly does make it sound more like the latter, which is pretty disappointing unless those numbers go up a lot. More than they are likely to. I get that this is a 'fun' event but that doesn't really jive with millions to participate (Fantine + a scroll if prices keep multiplying by the hour is easily that by the end of the contest).

That is not what staff said. They said the total number of participation prizes will increase, not the value of the prizes themselves. So, instead of only 25 people getting 1 referral point, maybe 50 people will get 1 referral point. And an increase in the total number going out hinges on how much participation they get.

I do hope that the site will update games for mobile users soon. While I don't bother to do much when on my mobile (which is next to none, thankfully), I cannot fathom how others manage daily or as a whole if they do not have a computer or another device. Though this would have been a beneficial move prior to this event being released and would have prevented discouragement for those users actively wanting to participate. This is the only thing I can clearly see being a major influence as to how this raffle can and will work should this be a monthly or bi-monthly type of event.

This is so much fun as I have not done some of the things so its nice to try new things. I also appreciate how yall got the things fixed that were a start out problem on this. And thanks so much for answering questions here so fast it is so appreciated. I never knew that there was another inn other than at veta lake now I do :) It is making me happy to find out so much that I am not familar with. Thanks again subeta and admins etc

Nah. What they mean is that a task will only count towards the raffle thing if you visit the raffle page first. You'll still get the usual rewards for anything if you don't, but for anything you can only do once a day you'll have missed the chance IF it's needed for the raffle. Say you visit the bathhouse and THEN the raffle page and it says "visit the bathhouse" then you#ll not going to be able to complete that.
