Updates on Summer Raffle

Thank you for being patient with us while we fixed the Summer Raffle’s issue with making scrolls. For those of you unaware, when you tried to make a scroll it wouldn’t count towards your list.

Scrolls and training should be working from here on out as far as tracking goes. We’ve cleared scrolls and training from peoples lists that were on between midnight and the time of this post; so people later in the day might have to make a scroll or train their pet.

We’ve also updated the “plant a seed” task, where it counts if you plant a seed OR water your plant!

Remember that raffles are a risk. We understand not every task will be quick or cheap, but we made sure the prizes are worth it. You’ll have to decide if you want to spend the sP at a chance for cash shop credits, random cash shop items, referral points, and random pawn shop custom wearables we’ve removed from the shop.

Just another reminder that you have to check your task list before doing dailies, etc. For things like training or bonding with minions, you need to start a fresh training session (and wait for your pet to get out) or start bonding with a new minion so that the tasks track. This is why visiting the bathhouse first and then your task list won’t count towards taking a dip in the pool. It might take a few minutes for a task to update to being checked off on your list, too. Keep that in mind!

Once you’ve completed all 10 tasks for the day, make sure to hit the ‘enter’ button to enter the raffle! :)

And also the shrugs shoulders "oh well, you have to decide if it's worth it to you to participate in something we're doing site-wide" is also pretty meh of a response. Yeah, not everything should be handed to you, but there's a huge number of daily things you can offer that don't involve risking your pets or spending that much sP/csc to do that still require a challenge or a reasonable expense. This is a pet site first right? Because if you want people to actually work on their pets, you can't then go "oh hey, you may have to waste all that money/time/effort you spent on them to get full chances at something else or just lose out on some participation".

Unless the value of the prizes is going up significantly, my point still stands. Great, you'll give out 1 referral point to 50 more people - it's still a whopping single point. That doesn't make up for the cost of buying new pet slots, which you keep telling people is a reasonable option. I'd like to know how spending another $5-$20+ on this site is remotely made up for by giving me something worth far less than that (if I'm lucky enough to win anything - which many people won't be). And I mention the cost because 40m is equivalent to $5 for people who don't have it to spare and would have to quickly "earn" it (IE would have to buy that much worth of CSC to sell to get that).

I'm hardly the only person who brought up that asking us to risk our pets is unfair, and the response given is pretty poor since you know that the cheapest pet slot is 40m.

Under prizes, it also says “We'll also be increasing the total number of participation prizes the more users that participate!”. So more cash shop items, more CSC, etc could be going out (which we'll update the page if/when we up those numbers). This is just the starting base.

That's pretty laughable, since there's a grand total of 250 winners based on your breakdown of prizes. If you don't spend millions to get an extra pet slot (or fix your pets if the zapper ruins them) then you lose out on the chance to MAYBE get something that MAYBE is worth what you spent (but probably not, since a lot of the pawn shop cws are under 500 in cost and 500 csc costs about 40m right now - on top of that, if you don't like/can't use the item, you get a whopping 250 csc max for pawning it back).

I'd like to believe that your argument makes sense, but it doesn't - not when pet slots cost so much as do potions and customizing pets. Maybe if you were guaranteed to get /all/ of the prizes and it wasn't some sort of random raffle where the participants far outnumber the amount of prizes...maybe.

Also, you say to earn "Referral Points" but that's not what is listed in the prizes:

A REFERRAL POINT - that is 1 point. I can get 1 point by making sure I go to the bathhouse daily and hitting the specific day for it.

Thank you for catching the bug so quickly AND updating us! This sounds like it will be a lot of fun! I had training as a task and it disappeared once I refreshed, so that was a little odd... but it reminded me I needed to put Kuzaku in training, so thanks!

"So some of you might only have 9 tasks..." or eight lol in my case, since I had both make a scroll and train. Did not realize the training was broken, I figured I just had to wait for my pet to be done before it counted. Which... I guess is true anyway haha. Anyway, thank you! It's going to be tough for me to remember to check that list before taking a dip in the bathhouse though. That's already becoming something of a habit for me.

I bought a mill item worth of items for fantine, made the item and it told me I was missing ingredients which I wasn't. Now it is cleared for the lottery...

May I suggest instead of Making/Doing something.. just "attempt"? Mine is cleared as being done today and I have ALL the ingredients in my inventory thanks. Hopefully it will work better tomorrow, thanks for working with it and ironing out bugs.

It's impossible to check your pet into the Rathskeller Inn when you have all your pets in the Lake Resort. I always put all my pets there. Thus one task for today I'm unable to complete. Not happy about this.

I really don't see why once daily things can't be counted retrospectively, I'm still so annoyed I went to the Bathhouse before looking at my list (but after the lists were released) and it didn't check it off. Feels so wasteful.
