Just when things were looking bleakest, a few intrepid people have managed to pull together and start dealing damage to the creature now threatening Subeta. She seems to be retreating for now, but we've had reports of Subetans hearing her scream 'I'll be back!' so it's likely that she is taking time to rejuvenate. If you are not able to help battle this monster in the conventional way when she inevitably returns, Connor Rainsong and Mathis still need all the help they can get crafting weapons to take on the fight!

It appears that the final blow of this stage was dealt by . Good luck to all of our current and future brave battlers and crafters!

Note: We're planning on releasing the next stage of the World Boss at around 5pm tonight, and the final stage at noon tomorrow, aiming to keep each stage going for several hours to give multiple timezones a chance to participate. - Subetateam

Someone putting in millions of sp slowly over an extended period of time for a longterm investment is not at all equivalent to someone pouring at millions at once for the promise of a single event and its prizes. My pet is tier 3, and even if I do nothing, it'll still be tier 3 by the next event! But the millions these other people have paid for this event won't count towards that next one. With that in mind, the price of the items Connor is asking for is too steep. Thus, I stand by my earlier criticism.

I'm really shocked that some people are so bitter about the time zone thing. I dont think it's poor planning, really, I think those are times where staff can be on. I mean, I get that it sucks that you can't participate unless you stay up at some ungodly hour, and I am sorry for those who cant weasel their way in in time but...it's not something to be /rude/ over??? : I mean...I think this event is pretty fair. (It's the first one ive participated in, too!) I'm a little sad that I just became active again and don't have the resources yet to beef up my battlers or throw zillions at Connor like I want to but...this definitely isn't horrible. Ah...as long as we all get a highfive/something cool out of it, ill be golden. Staff dont have to give us events at all, yanno. Maybe a 'thanks for the effort/time' would really make their day sometime. No one is perfect and they squeezed in quite a bit of battling for people. Annnnnd the art is pretty dang amazing. So I guess that's all. I just think people need to cool their jets, enjoy the pretty art and be happy there is an event at all.

err actually, only one person could get that final blow. That's how it works. its a competition and in the end, it's got quite a fair bit of luck involved. It was probably at least a 1/300-500 shot at that moment. I suspect tonight will be like 1/1000 chance since it's a more active time.

I love the way this fight is tiered so that (almost) everyone can get a hit in. What I DON'T like is having the 'final blow done by...' part on the news.

A lot of people went to work on her last night and she was nearly defeated then. But she was regenerated several times. A LOT of those people could've have gotten in the final blow if the opponent had NOT been regenerated and I'm sure at least a FEW of those feel robbed.

I made my pet stronger for this by stat boosting... hope i could do some more damage than the first stage.

I also hope we get another boss on the next stages.

So the first wave starting at 11pm on a day where I woke up at 6am for work is convenient for me because I'm NA? I don't think so, but because I actually strive to participate and want to compete, I made myself stay up for 6hours straight battling when the comfort of a pillow would've been a godsend. If you have previous commitments that you can't reschedule, that's on no one but yourself. If you just don't feel like staying up, that's on yourself. If you could make time but choose not to, that's on you. It's not poor planning on the staffs part. This is by far the most fair boss fight that there has been, and before and after the first round it was completely transparent...

Also to the people complaining because they spent 1m for each quest: I used over 600m worth of boosters from my stash in the last week to stay in the top tier of competition. Being competitive requires putting some resources in. If you're not worried about being competitive, then just don't worry about it. But don't expect everything handed for you, that's just ridiculous. Furthermore, those quests only give 250-500 damage worth each time. A new pet could do more than that in 15 minutes if they took 10 minutes to read the battling guides plastered all over the site.

I'm going to assume that if you buy the ingredients for Connor, that you will be able to turn them into Mathis again at 5pm? Can Staff confirm? Before I give away/sell said items? That would make sense.

You don't actually get a weapon. You're told the weapon is on its way to the battlefield, but you never see anything. It's just up to 500 damage done.

Hmm. I missed the first wave even though it was perfect for my timezone in South Korea, but I was travelling across the country to visit friends for the weekend. The other times are 5 a.m. tonight when I'll be asleep and midnight Sunday night, when I'll also be asleep. :S Ah well, I did the weapon thing with Connor a few times. I'd love to battle and have a battle pet, but I guess it's the other option for me this time! Thanks for a non-time zone option.

EST hit the jackpot, too. I was on a bit late last night after all, and 5 pm and noon are going to be pretty easy for me! I ended up needing to go to bed around halfway through the first boss, so hopefully I can stick around and deal a lot more damage to the next couple.

I do like a 48 hour world boss, non-stop, regenerating challenger, so everyone in all timezones can participate. I bet a lot of battlers would be up 48 hours battling. LOL.

Would it be possible for future boss battles to have lets say 3 stages and users can only participate in 2? That way users can plan ahead and choose which 2 fit their schedules the most. It would give the bad timezones a better chance at doing more damage while the good timezones can't do as much damage cumulatively.

Unless each stage is a different boss I guess. D:
