Peka-Boo Opening Night!

Gracious, it's been a long day for us behind the scenes here at the Peka-Boo Festival! Who knew so many things could go wrong? First the Taco Truck broke down in the middle of nowhere (overheating! They should not have been testing their spicy recipes on the road in the burning sunshine!) and then we caught a green haired man trying to sneak into the grounds with a bag full of graffiti paint and a portable pizza oven - we're not quite sure what he was planning to do with it, but we've confiscated the paint and sent him on his way!

So we're off to a smidgen of a delayed start, but we have most everything in place now! You've been doing great with your Battle of the Bands submissions - keep them coming! Remember submissions will close at 11:59pm on Sunday July 20th! I'm sure you've all been working up an appetite with that frenzied instrument playing. Luckily our food trucks will be serving all night, and you can pay a visit to Oatmeal, the new resident golden goat, who will help you with all your worries. Or even stop by The Wishing Shrub, where you can grant wishes as well as make some of your own.

The Fashion Yurts will be open tomorrow, I've had a preview of some of the things inside and they're just darling - definitely worth the wait! Until then you can pick up some Peka-Boo branded merchandise from the Merch Tent, stop in at the First Aid Tent for some light pamphlet reading, or if you're a VIP maybe you'd like to relax in the VIP Lounge with Johannes (if you can find him!) and some sexy drinks.

And for those of you who are worried about missing out on festival achievements, feed those worries to Oatmeal! We're not starting any of the achievement tracking until tomorrow, July 18th (from 12:00am).

Now, I have some more work to do! There's more things to come mid-festival that need organising, I'll talk to you all again tomorrow!

My free wish didnt work - and the items on the tree are insanely high priced for me to get a space. I guess I wont be participating in this..greedy people ruined it :(

Interestingly, I tried again and was able to place my wish - and it was fulfilled immediately. Thank you! I would pass on the favour, but not at all costs, I'm afraid.

Maybe, there are only so many free spaces on the Shrub? And once they are taken, we don't get our free wish until a new space is freed.

"Oh No! You have to grant someone else's wish before you can make your own!" Hello?! I'd really like my first free wish like others had?!

And soooo annoyed because we have been having quite some lag for a few days and today it is even worse. I've been trying to get in here or the forums for 10 minutes with Calvin getting in the way.

An event with nothing happening so far - except for shops en masse, and already the same old "regular" lag and downs? C'mon!

I truly thank the Lord for whoever wished for a Subeautique Invitation!! If it wasn't for that reasonable wish, I would have probably never granted a wish XD!! So thanks to that person who wished for a reasonable wish :)

As to the others wishing for 5000 csc, 1000 csc, Ethers, Baals, 12 month GAs, c'mon, be reasonable and stop being greedy. I mean I understand its a wishing shrub, but that's just going WAY too far. If people could afford 5000 csc, I think they'd much rather spend it and use that sp to grant their own wishes. If all people do is fill up the wishing shrub with out of this word items, then others won't get the chance to wish for their own items :(. People really need to think before they wish.

As for the others who are hoping to find a reasonable item to grant, keep searching!! I found one :) it took me sometime, but it sure was worth it XD. So just keep looking and good luck!!

So I've just bought a 1 month gold account as a wish, gone to grant it, and it says its been granted by someone else, luckily I can use it myself. Maybe I'm getting too old for this sort of 'festival' having never been to one, I didn't realise it was just about buying expensive food. Have fun guys, Im off to sit in the dark and be grumpy :0(

Not interested in any of the food since I already have the gourmand achievement, but they seriously need to fix the stupid wishing shrub. "Oh No! You have to grant someone else's wish before you can make your own!" I was never able to make a wish. :( Thanks to ErisAmbrosios for sending one anyway. :)

Excited about the event. I love the idea of the wishing bush, but goodness. No one has any small wishes for poor people like me to grant? Seriously...250 mil items? :P I don't even have 1/4 of that or enough to buy anything currently wished for. I've had it with that bush. Can we at least say no cash shop items? There's even someone asking for a Meetup Bag! Who is going to give someone one of those?! I don't mind the odd 5mil wish (I'm not paying that but, hey, it's a wishing bush. They can dream, right?) but it's really annoying that people are: Asking for items that are not even available in shops Exclusive items that nobody is ever going to give someone else I wouldn't dream of making a wish of more than a few hundred thousand. I'd like to use this opportunity to get some rare main shop items (stickers, plushies and beanbags that cost less than 100k). Apparently some people don't get that it the wishes are being granted by users then there is no point in them asking for Moonstones or Argo Eyeliner, because those are on the wishlist of just about every other Subeta user! I don't know about you but I am not going to grant someone an item that is on my own wishlist.

To maybe curb the greed on the wishes, what about an achievement for having say 5 granted? That might encourage some people to ask for more reasonable things? Or only allowing current shop items? (No special or retired or cash shop?) Thank you to whoever gifted my temporary toad habitat ðŸ˜Š

lmao all i'm seeing at the wish tree are credit gift cards, 1-year GA medals, high-end weapons and other unbuyable/expensive stuff. plus the fact that you gotta grant someone elses wish first before making your own? that's BS.

I just refreshed at the shrub for awhile until I saw something I knew I had in my wardrobe that I NEVER will wear, but someone else wanted it. Regardless of the price, I didn't pay anything now as I got it long ago at regular price, even if tho it is unbuyable right now and I granted the wish. Now I was able to make my own reasonable wish that I think someone will grant. :D
