Peka-Boo Opening Night!

Gracious, it's been a long day for us behind the scenes here at the Peka-Boo Festival! Who knew so many things could go wrong? First the Taco Truck broke down in the middle of nowhere (overheating! They should not have been testing their spicy recipes on the road in the burning sunshine!) and then we caught a green haired man trying to sneak into the grounds with a bag full of graffiti paint and a portable pizza oven - we're not quite sure what he was planning to do with it, but we've confiscated the paint and sent him on his way!

So we're off to a smidgen of a delayed start, but we have most everything in place now! You've been doing great with your Battle of the Bands submissions - keep them coming! Remember submissions will close at 11:59pm on Sunday July 20th! I'm sure you've all been working up an appetite with that frenzied instrument playing. Luckily our food trucks will be serving all night, and you can pay a visit to Oatmeal, the new resident golden goat, who will help you with all your worries. Or even stop by The Wishing Shrub, where you can grant wishes as well as make some of your own.

The Fashion Yurts will be open tomorrow, I've had a preview of some of the things inside and they're just darling - definitely worth the wait! Until then you can pick up some Peka-Boo branded merchandise from the Merch Tent, stop in at the First Aid Tent for some light pamphlet reading, or if you're a VIP maybe you'd like to relax in the VIP Lounge with Johannes (if you can find him!) and some sexy drinks.

And for those of you who are worried about missing out on festival achievements, feed those worries to Oatmeal! We're not starting any of the achievement tracking until tomorrow, July 18th (from 12:00am).

Now, I have some more work to do! There's more things to come mid-festival that need organising, I'll talk to you all again tomorrow!

People should really see if the item they want is even available in the shops. If no ones selling it then you're probably not going to get it.

Someone had a good wish. I am starting to see some people ask for cheap items but you have to sit there and refresh 100 times through moonstones, 5000csc, 12 month GAs, and other things that are impossible. I would like to grant more wishes. :) This is fun when you can afford it and catch the wish. Maybe it will be better in the morning.

I was going to say something about the exorbitant wishes on the wishing shrub, but I thought that would be complaining (which is worse than queue-barging I've been told :D )so I waited. But I do agree that it's difficult to grant a wish that is beyond your capacity to pay for - 5000csc that's 50 RL dollars (or you local currency equivalent) and I don't have that much to spare most of the time let alone on getting the chance to make a wish.
I agree with Kilala. Wishes that are there for more than an hour should get kicked off in the hope that people may wish for slightly less expensive items - maybe.

I think if someone's wish doesn't get granted in the next hour or so, it should be kicked out. Because at this rate, there's no way people are going to be able to have wishes granted or even grant wishes since people are asking for out of the world items like Angelic potions, 1000 cscs, and items that aren't even stocking in shops. Who in their right mind would even ask for 5000 csc ;w;? That's just..wow!

Why is it that I can't make my (reasonably priced) wish without granting someone else's 50+ million wish? That's flat out ridiculous, and the Wishing Shrub should be removed at this rate, or some major changes moved.

I just have to agree with you. (Not the laughing part of course lol) I mean, I know its a wishing thing and whatnot, but c'mon folks. Some people are just asking for too much. There's no way I can grant any wishes at this rate, and I'd love to grant wishes, but I'm not buying any Natashas, no Baals, or Angelic potions ;w; sorry people!

Wow some people in the wishing shrub are really greedy, you do realize that if you put a ridiculously expensive item in there, none of us will be able to have our turn there. Gosh I sincerely hope nobody grants their incredibly greedy 100+ million wishes.

I would LOVE to grant wishes...but people are asking for such pricey items ;w; All I'm seeing is 12 month GAs, 1000 cscs, and other items that I simply can't get. Don't people have like cheaper wish list items ranging in the 1-2mils or something? I mean, really.

Also, to any VIP people, I'd love to buy some VIP food items c:! Message me if you're willing ^_^.

No one said you first wish is free. They said they got a free wish on the first round of wishes to be made, because the first few people to do it obviously couldn't grant wishes that weren't even there yet.

If the first wish is supposed to be free, as others have said, it isn't letting me either. Which I'd be fine with if there were wishes I could grant that weren't 20+ millions of sP or even unbuyable. o.O That's kind of crazy. Takes the fun out of something I was all "this sounds like a cute idea".

Wait, you get your first wish free? I never got one. :( I guess Ill keep refreshing to find a cheap one that I can get...It seems when I refresh, the item is gone....I like the idea of claiming the wish and having a half hour or 15 minutes to grant it.

okay new Question. What is this about "the first wish is free" Does this mean a few people are just getting gypped on them? Looks like StarShadow had the same problem I did... Tree wouldn't let me wish unless I granted some outrageous wish. And here I was trying to find my cheapest "most wanted" item to put up there.

I'm so excited! LOOK AT ALL THE NEW FOOD TRUCKS! I think if everyone's reasonable about the wishing shrub, it should sort itself out in mo time. I found someone asking for a magical keepsake box, which was nice. Plus, Battle of the Bands! I know the band I'm in is enchanting, and I can't wait to see everyone else's!

We should be able to claim wishes to prevent multiple people spending lots on the same item.

It wouldn't be a problem if the items were cheap, but most of the time, they're over 1mil, which some of us can barely spare.

I think that the wishing shrub will get out of control at first til people realize their wishes aren't getting granted. I granted a wish that was around 6 mil so I put up something around the same. I'm not willing to ask for something I am not willing to spend.

I feel like people shouldnt be able to wish for 30mil items or csc. Maybe make like a 3-5mil limit? I kept mine around 2mil. Glad it didnt make me grant before wishing. As everyone else was greedy in their asks.
