Changes to Cosplay Contest Voting

Hello again EPICon fans! There have been a few changes to the voting system for the cosplay contest.

For the sake of fairness, cosplayers in officially sanctioned gear and cosplayers in their own custom threads will no longer be mixed in the same voting set!
You may now cast a vote every 10 minutes instead of every hour. Good news for those who have been wanting to see more of those amazing costumes!
Once your EPICon beeper alerts you that you can vote again, you can now head straight to the voting wall! It's only one less step than it was before, but we know you guys are busy with all of the activities.

Unfortunately the votes have had to be reset, but we hope the changes will make for a better experience! Good luck to all of the contestants!

Is the voting system ever going to be fixed because it still seems majorly unfair to have non-CWs and CWs mixed, and I also keep seeing the same contestants over and over again..

i hate to be a whiner but i'm still not digging this. there are repeats, mixed walls, and i have no idea what 90% of them are supposed to be. i also feel like a reference shouldn't have been just an option. i don't want to have to vote for something random or wait for something that i like to pop up. going through pages of sub-categories (tv, game, book, etc) in two overhead CW and non-CW categories still would have been easier and more fair at this point.

Yup, I'm still seeing mixed cw and non-cw HAs, and the same few ones over and over and over. This is just not right.

I have yet to see a wall of the custom wearables cosplays. All the ones I see are subeta clothes. Mine has a custom item and it makes me wonder if mine is being seen at all?

Same here, seeing the same HAs.

I wouldn't know about CWs or regular and I doubt anybody, who claims they see mixed ones, can know every single CW on site? Which doesn't mean it couldn't be happening nevertheless, lol.

Why did we need to change things after a day, when it was said (and was the only logical thought to begin with) that they wouldn't be mixed anyway? wtf?

I've only voted about 5 times, now, but already I have seen HAs repeat themselves. This past voting wall, I saw two of the same HAs that had been on my voting wall the first time. I took a screenshot of this and I'm going to take another if I come across any more repeats. I really enjoy the voting and seeing the different cosplays, but its not very fair if only a few few are cropping up more than the rest. It'd be different if I had voted many times, but less than half a dozen?

I wasn't going to comment, but I've just had a round entirely made up of cosplays I've already seen one or more times, which definitely feels like more than a coincidence.

I don't see a difference.. at all. All I see is the same cosplays, mixed entries and I can vote every 10 minutes instead of an hour.

Hmmm, I just had three HAs pop up that I've already voted for in previous rounds since this announcement was made. This seemed like a good change, but now I'm wondering how fair it is if only the same HAs are being presented over and over. I know I'm not seeing a ton of them, so where are the others?

I got the same ha in my voting set 3 times in a row . Also it still is mixed bag for me , last voted set had all but one CWs .

I actually haven't seen any with CWs at all since voting about an hour or so ago. I don't see any separation or anything... It'd be nice if these problems were fixed before we even started voting so everyone can have an equal chance, or so we don't have to keep having votes reset.

I was getting to see both CW and non-CW entries (not mixed together, separately) but now I'm only getting CW entries. -_- I know it's probably random, but I wish it was CW/non-CW/CW/non-CW or something. I love the CW entries, but I actually like seeing what people did with non-CWs a bit more.

Yeah, i'm... confused, as well. I did see some CW wearers with nonCW the last time I voted, but I didn't cap it. And now, since I can vote again, I only see the one section like before, and i see a few with CW's.

I dunno, I'm just voting for the ones I know and like. And I really like being able to vote more often so we can see more. Wish more had references with them 'cause I don't know who they are tryn to be.

A shame that the votes had to be reset.. I figured this would of been done already since it had already been mentioned that there was going to be two different tiers. I just would of assumed that the voting wall would all be from one tier. I think this is the only fair way to do this though, so kudos, and it is still early, plus wait time is way down, so that will make up for it, Wouldn't mind knowing which tier I am voting for at the time, but I'm not that picky about it.
