Congratulations JoAnna! The overlay is very nice and amazing job on that TC!

However I do agree with those who say that a story or some sort of text is needed.

Looking at Henna's profile, I could see or get a kind of vibe that she was based around India. I only knew what Henna was about when someone in the comments posted a link to Wikipedia. But the point in creating Henna was to have people know EXACTLY what Henna was representing, not some sort of inkling. It's a bit unsettling to see that people are more concerned about. . .politeness isnt the word I want but I hope what I'm saying will make sense, instead of giving critique/ honest opinion. I would personally be extremely upset if my idea did not come across to others, as it was intended to, and no one told me.

Some people cant write, but that's okay. A story isnt necessary in this case because Henna is not a character per say; she is a representation. So maybe the definition to the word Henna somewhere would really get the idea of the pet across. =]

Again, congrats on the win! It's always nice to see a different culture around.~

I seriously thought Henna was a Swampie. Then when I saw everyone else post about it, and went to look and saw she is a Serpenth.

I think everything about Henna is amazing. The TC obviously took a long time in order to get perfect. And even if she does not have a set personality, I feel some pets jut don't need one. Some people have specific visions for pets, and others would not be able to understand the visions, even when put into words, instead Joanna expressed her vision for Henna, through visuals. Others should admire the the fact that Henna won the spotlight with visuals, and not text. Joanna is an amazing person for Making her pet unique, and setting them apart from all the others, by showing to us that she worked hard to best display to us all of the visual elements of henna's life.

All written stories have an ending, but through the expression of art, the story can go on forever.

Congrats Joanna! I really love Henna, I love how the profile, overlay and TC are the main emphasis of this pet, and they work really well together! I honestly don't think it needs anything else.

Also, guys, I'm late to this party but the thing is, I think a few of you are missing the point! The bottom line is that the Pet Spotlight news comments are not the place to 'question' a PS winner - it's just common courtesy to not do that haha. As other people have said, you can do that elsewhere. Not saying you can NEVER EVER 'not understand' or present a dissenting view, but there's a time and place for it!

...Okay, this is out of hand. I don't want people jumping at anyone's throats. I was just annoyed by a few people's comments putting words in mine and a few other people's mouths, and this all got WAY out of control. No more of this 'whiteknighting' on EITHER side, this wasn't supposed to happen, and I don't understand why every time if even ONE person dissents or doesn't agree with everybody-freakin'-else, a bunch of people suddenly jump on them like flies on a pie and start tearing them limb from limb. I also don't approve of how in the past, people have also called such dissenters 'jealous', and it seems like people are still keen on doing this. You're all acting like children! : (

And as for the commenting about the pet.. that's a good idea -- in theory. It could prove to be problematic, however, if many many users began commenting her for the story behind Henna at one time. A comment flood would be incredibly stressful to her, and I'm sure nobody here wants to cause JoAnna any stress. I certainly don't. That is why I asked for a possible explanation of Henna here, so that EVERYONE could see it, and not have to resort to commenting her and flooding her alert box.

It'd also be nice if there were less arguments... I'm sure most of us here never wanted to start an argument in the first place. But everyone needs to calm down and get back on topic, I'm not going to stand for seeing this news post destroyed by this stupid argument any longer. It'd also be nicer if people weren't acting like such jerks to each other, but that discussion doesn't belong here.

Very late but congratulations JoAnna. Like a few have said before, the TC is very well thought out and the overlay is just lovely. I do wish that I could know a little more about Henna, but her win is indeed deserved.

I'm pretty sure no one said the pet was undeserving of the win. Most of us would Just like to know more about Henna herself. You can't exactly ask that in a feedback forum.. And NO one can answer that than Joanna herself being her pet. Its lovely art and lovely profile.. If you feel like you want to know more about the pet's unwritten story, why not contact the owner in a respectful manner to ask...?
