I blocked someone specifically because they were buying up rare items from my shop and inflating the prices (as in, inflating them from under 100k to 50mil+); however, they are still able to buy from me. That aside, I feel like in general, users we block shouldn't be able to interact with us in any way, including buying from us (and vice versa).

I don't know if it's possible in terms of coding, and if it's not, I understand! Just thought I'd put the suggestion out there!

I have to disagree, because unlike trades, auctions and user shops have and require zero actual interaction.

In all my time on here, this is one thing I've never understood with Subeta is that... if you block someone, legitimately any other form of interaction is a warnable offense (to my understanding)...

Except buying from them.

But yeah, super support because if I block someone, I'm not just doing it for the lulz. I don't want anything to do with them at that point if I'm blocking.

While I understand why people might want this, I really don't like it. You can block someone for any reason (which is a good thing), and the idea that being blocked could impact someone's ability to play the game doesn't sit right with me. You shouldn't have to interact with anyone you don't want to interact with, but like Metroid said, I don't think buying from someone's shop really qualifies as interacting with them.

As for people buying from shops to inflate prices, then I'm not so sure that just blocking them is the best solution to that problem. (If a solution is even desired - it might not be, I don't really know.)

I fear this is something that could easily be abused. Imagine a large group of users going around blocking a single person, and thus rendering them unable to participate in the game because they can't buy anything as a result. We don't need a group of players running out somebody they don't like for X, Y and Z reasons.

Fwiw, I rarely ever need to go into someone's shop to see who they are and if I want to support their shop. I just use the buy tab in the shop search results. That's literally no interaction, I don't even know whose shop is whose when I'm buying.

Just make your own custom CSS, highlight a shop of a user you blocked yourself, and to hide that person's shop from view.

can't people technically do that now with the way that blocking works, though? ;-; several people deciding to band together and cut off all communication with one person can severely impair their experience with the game, thus driving them away.

if i block somebody, it's because somebody has bothered me to the point where i have decided that my time on subeta is better without them in it. therefore i don't really want to help improve their game experience by giving them my sp ;_;

Someone would need to let Keith know so he can make sure custom CSS works. Your other idea might work too, it could just show up as "A fellow Subetan" or something.
