So as we've been discussing over on the discord, does anyone else have advice for taking on Meatslab the Furious? I'm running Cronus Blade with Ether for the magma and phys defense, modded for fire and dark defense. Also have RotL and PQ for heals, AoN and RV for block. Been trying to blast with Soma and RB at the start with mixed results.

Using Strength of the Para+3 GotF and finally Rage of the Para for my scrolls. Only have 164 ap.

I've managed to wear him down to about 7500 health, but he keeps hitting like a truck by the point I get him down to 21k-15k typically. The crits usually end it.

I run Cronus and either ME or Ether, but Meatslab is more for a T13 pet, or a T12 that's close to becoming T13 (just checked Lucerne's stat total). He's such a pain in the ass. Lucerne would need more defense or HP but he boosts his strength stat if I'm not mistaken, which puts you on a bit of a timer. Some of those guys might just have to wait a while.

appreciate it. I got him within 2400 health yesterday, but I know it's a pretty steep(damn near 90 degrees) slope I'm on trying this fresh into T12. I can survive just fine for maybe the first 12 to 15 turns, then he starts overpowering my healing and overhealing himself. Think I'm gonna work on Lucerne's HP before I make too many more attempts.

I haven't checked to see if a T12 can do it, probably can, Cara would know. But it can also come down to certain builds being more viable than others. Out of curiosity, I'm gonna check my T12s, see if anyone can do anything.

edit: yeah, none of my T12s can manage against him. Valtam's a fairly fresh T13 still and he got a win. So it looks like a late T12 would be the possible earliest.

@ METROID I appreciate it. I'm fairly sick of trying at this point. Just gonna wait until Lucerne is stronger.

Edit: 242 losses and 2 "almosts" among them all. Not worth the grind or high blood pressure to keep going.

Sometimes it's like that. I tend to explore with Elfric and then make notes on my spreadsheet records so I don't accrue too many losses if someone is not ready to beat an opponent.

A bunch of eggs and tomes later (like 850 tomes...I grinded for half of them!!), brand new pet is born and already a T11. Now to battle with him and push him to T12.
