With less than a month to prepare for the biggest party of the year this is the place to share your ideas and hopes for Masquerade. Masquerade has been celebrated for many years by Subetans everywhere. Some of us love to prepare our outfits in advance let their last minute creativity shine. Whether you choose to hide your mask or show it off, it is your ticket to the dance so don't forget it. One last note whether you post or not if you see an idea you like don't forget to give the post a heart. I'm reasonably certain they pay attention to which ideas are getting the most attention. Though that doesn't guarantee anything.

The next holiday is Neugarten that mysterious holiday "sometime" in summer. Usually this lands closer to August than May but they gave themselves room to modify the schedule. If anyone would like to start the next suggestion thread it is open to whomever posts first. The thread isn't supposed to start more than three months before but the next holiday doesn't have a very specific date. I don't mind if you take ideas from past threads or even strait up copy and paste.

I would really love more fascinator-style masks or the Japanese ones worn on the side of the head. They add so much to outfits without covering the face and sometimes that's all you need! I really liked the ones from Moro and I'd like to see more like them but more whimsical and elegant.

Always down for more body mods! Not just prosthetics but different arm and leg poses. But if we do that, some clothes that work both with the mods and original base would be nice.

Could we get some more steampunk backdrops? I know cyberpunk stuff can get distracting with all of the pretty colors and steampunk is a lot of brown but the last steam backdrops/foregrounds have been things like pipes and wires when there's so much more to it than that. Howl's Moving Castle could be considered SP but it has gorgeous, colorful environments. Video games like Final Fantasy 9, Baten Kaitos and Skies of Arcadia would also have great inspiration.

Yay, here are my new ideas for this year. As usual I still like my ideas from last year. Yes I really REALLY do. Especially well nope all of them. I was thinking about these items and wouldn't it be nice to have them or something similar in other colors AND white. I was thinking almost like rave colored spotlights but I do really want a white version. We have these. But something about them being pastel washes out the HA so much I only really use the white one and even then its rare. Maybe if the colors are bright or the opacity is not so thick it would be more versatile. To add to the stage maybe we could have steam that could look like a fog machine and double as steam from the pipes and gears.

I second 's request for more steampunk. Especially the backgrounds. For some reason when steampunk is mentioned Howl's Moving Castle some to mind. So not all dark some bold colors, metalics and smoke/ steam too. The carousel dress request sounds fun but it makes me think of this series. It seems from you images your idea is a skirt that looks like a carousel instead of inspired by one.

Exactly. I'd like to see clothes with a definite carousel motif. The current items have carousels for the thumbnails but as wearables are more regular carnival.

Ooh more carousel things would be great. Something wildly antiquely patterned like Gooliope Jellington 's dress (the bone-horse shoes would be too detalied for the HA base.

I would love for muted taupe, mauve tones (plus classic white, black, and beige) a la old delish or vanity with 1920s flapper. Masq seems to alternate between super old (centuries ago) style and cyberpunk. I just want stuff like (incidentally from 2020 NY shop but still--) but in more faded colors. ;3;

How about looking at all types of dances irl? Square dance, disco, swing, etc. It could be a lot of fun to reference those.

Like Disco has TONS. Disco ball, the afros and suits. Maybe a fox minion that's trotting for a pose. Get it? foxtrot? xD

Please give us the option to like our dance partner's avatar while we're dancing. We were able to do this previously. I'd love that option.

A carousel themed mask would be fun. I would probably like it even more if it was held or off to the side of the head. The one carousel themed item I might like the most though would be an umbrella with the animals suspended from the bottom. Like fun tassels. If they don't use the carousel theme for Masq it might also be a fun theme for Morostide.

A carousel parasol would be cool! I have a CW that has cute stars dangling from it!

I LOVE those doll legs! I would love to see something like that as a wearable. Have you seen the dolls that have the legs with the Blue China pattern on them?

Blue bone china pattern stuff would look really cool there were a pair of Docs in real life that has that pattern on it I really wanted. And a gun in ff14 that looked like that as well. I think it would be cool to see metal flowers or like a mechanical sunflower (or any flower) motif stuff.

Sorry to barge in, maybe it's not the place, but how about an official MasqParade? We submit costumed HA (might be with a price limit), we vote, top 3 winners get a platinum, gold, bronze steamwork trinkets bag and every participant gets 20 lounge trinkets added to currency.
