I know, the storm's moving towards my neck of the woods this Friday, and we might actually get like. 6 inches of snow. :O Which for North Carolina is crippling, even at a dusting.

I could do without it to be fair. Too much hassle going into the wardrobe and searching for the shield and trying to remember to include it in all my outfits. People have been asking for a way to opt out of having snowballs thrown at you, which I would like. I wouldn't mind if they didn't show up on my HA.

We haven't had news in a while, and I'm wondering if the fires on the west coast have anything to do with it. I hope everyone's alright.

I would prefer to fire at NPCs, actually! I also wouldn't mind the return of the snowball wars where only people in the event can fire at each other - something other than achievements that make snowballs more exciting.

I worked hard to throw 18.4k snowballs so I can get the book at 30k ._. If this feature is taken away, will we still get the book? Also, 30k snowballs is still a lot to throw. Can it be lowered?

Also maybe if we could consider reducing the achievement requirements for the final tier? 30k is a bit steep. It took me 2 straight weeks of grinding away buying and throwing snowballs when i did it last year - it was brutal. 😅

I like the idea of throwing at NPCs! I just throw them at myself because I don't wanna bother anyone lol

I have a suggestion. If snowballs are opened late, are you able to match what is thrown? So, if a user throws 50 or 500 in a day, they get double towards their accumulative total in the achievement (so, if you throw 50, you get 100, throw 500 and you get 1,000)?

Doubling the snowball count would not really be fair to those who have painstakingly thrown snowballs for the achievement... Maybe just extend the timeframe they can be thrown... This event is almost a month late for whatever reason... I would like to see a post letting us know if/when the snowballs will go active...

I've painstakingly thrown them too. I started with 250 and ended up with 18,400.

It would be nice to know what's going on with snowballs this year.

I like the idea of throwing them at NPCs. The only reason I don't throw snowballs myself is because I don't want them thrown at me and I'd be a hypocrite if I still threw them at people.

I finished the snowball achievements, but I'd still like to see it revamped to target NPCs instead. Especially since it has to be turned off for Survival, so there really isn't much time to actually use it. If it didn't target users, then it wouldn't interfere with infections and could stay on all winter.

Plus it'd be fun to pelt the oracle when she gives me speed or Shinwa when she gives me the bird.

TBH I like snowballs being thrown at me, I've even listed my favorite ones in my profile. Maybe making the Reflecting Shields cheaper and 100% effective might be an option, or an Opt-In/Opt-out feature for snowball fights entirely.

If snowballs aren't opening, I was wondering if you'd be able to make a news post about the snowballs? There's roughly 1 month and 6 weeks left of winter.

I don't think snowballs will happen, as it usually opens December 21. Spring is right around the corner (March 20) now. There have also been no news posts or updates regarding snowballs. I'm disappointed.
