That's incredible! The one time I would defend AI. It definitely kept the integrity of the art. Thank you, I might still have to wait for whichever site artist has the original file, cause I don't know how staff feels about the art being manipulated by AI (fuzzy rule), but if this is given the all clear by staff, then I will be using this to provide to the artist I'm commissioning for Breezy's overlay!

hmmm I never considered that as those A.I. sites aren't generative and don't use other images to give us the final result, so I would love if you could give me a ping once you learn more about that

I'm gonna send in a ticket and ask to find out what the general rule is. This was something that was discussed on the site feedback forum recently actually, about providing AI manips/references to an artist.

it's just upscaling & extrapolating from the pixels that are already there, same as resizing and resampling something in photoshop (and sometimes applying things like noise reduction filters and whatnot). people see the word "AI" now and automatically get all paranoid because a massive range of technologies have been stupidly shoved under a singular nebulous label, but algorithms like this have been a pretty standard part of image editing technology for quite some time.

I figure it's probably fine since it's not doing anything to the original art, but it's just making sure it's all good.
