imo, this isn't really a good amount, as the amount given is always under 1k, given how the economy is now, this... isn't much. to me, it's the equivalent of asking for money for christmas and your relative handing you a nickel. and i'll be honest, i'm for getting rid of it altogether or adjusting the sP amount according to the economy we have now.

I don't think its a good idea to increase it to "market value" that would be adding too much into the economy.

My question though is for more casual users (and/or newer users), do most of them find it a nice bonus? I mean it really doesn't hurt to have it there if some people like it. Personally I'd be happy to do away with it.

i don't think it really matters. it's just a little bit here and there and that's fine. you can already get a decent amount of free money just from dailies even without doing quests. melody is all about the special items, not the sP.

I just think of the sP as a cute additional token, altogether negligible as it is. I doubt it's because of the sP that (m)any of us hasten to Melody's cottage each day. Similar to Oracle quests (or sP REs or the insubstantial 'Mystery' scratchcard prizes, for that matter), just a nice little bonus if clearly not the central attraction.

To get any sP is a nice thing. Any freebies are welcomed by me, no matter how big or small they may be. :)

held my tongue long enough, I cant believe theres people actually crying(for use of a nice term) over anything FREE, be it 1sp or 10k sp its FREE

It's not like quests where the low payout affects day to day for the entire year; It's not supposed to sustain the economy.

The real point of Melody's gifts each day are the items, anyway. I wouldn't miss the sP if it was nixed altogether.

I think it's just fine the way it is. It's not like we're hurting for other sources of sP.

sPs is plenty easy enough to earn, I don't think anyone is relying on Melody to fund their Christmas shopping. xD

I like it! I think it's one of those small gifts just to add to the others. As mentioned before, it's not really meant to supply players or anything, and I think overall it's very easy to earn sP so I don't see a need to increase the amount. Especially when the items are awesome, like, every time! (:

I make most of my SP through questing personally. I always thought of it as someone slipping you some cash on the sly, its kind of a trope for that to happen around the holidays.

Personally I think its just a cute little bonus. No harm in having it, even if its a small amount.
