It is time to warm ourselves around the fire and gift the Red Rreign. This is a link to last years Fireside suggestions.
Our wonderful Subeta artists create plushies, books, beanbags, stickers, food, wearables and more for Fireside. Do you have any suggestions for them?
Themes I've seen in past years include: -campfires -Red Rreign -bonfires -dragons -fire -food (cranberry, pumpkin, and everything else you eat in the fall) -squash -Fall -leaves -Medieval -fireworks (this has been a theme but I think it moved to New Year can't hurt to ask though)
This event has floating items as well as items from the bonfire and Fantine is always trading pumpkins for pumpkin themed food. We may also see Charity trading food for all kinds of items.
I haven't suggested anything in sooo long so I'm gonna brainstorm. XD
-Food Ideas
What about different types of toasted bread? Like regularly white toast, toasted English muffins, toasted challah, toasted crumpets, toasted roti (Indian flatbread), toasted corn tortillas, etc?
Toast with subeta pets or Rreign faces burned into to side ala Bob Ross toast.
Japanese grilled foods, cooked over an open flame like yakitori, (grilled chicken), yakiniku (grilled meat), yakimochi (grilled mochi), and yakionigiri (grilled rice balls). Grilled onigiri could lend itself to multiple flavors/recolors, too! Apparently kushiyaki is the general term for Japanese grilled food on skewers, which might lend some interesting results for foods if searching for more.
-Non-Food Ideas
Some kind of BG/FG or border element with a flaming dragon? inspo 1, inspo 2
forged items like horseshoes, iron fireplace pokers/tools, hooks, axes, swords?
In that vein, hand-forged iron sweater pins as CIs for a sweater or shawl.
-BLUBBBBBBBBBS
acorn blub, hedgehog blub, bear blub, apple blub, helicopter seed twin blubs, ink cap mushroom blub, roasted chestnut blub
-Pumpkin Goodies!
My apologies I was searching the internet for ideas while hungry.
Food
Its time for some pumpkin dishes
-pumpkin ravioli or tortellini
-pumpkin mac ‘n’ cheese
-pumpkin biscuits
-pumpkin pancakes
-pumpkin waffles
-gingersnap pumpkin pie
-cranberry pumpkin muffins
-pumpkin pet treats
-pumpkin bread pudding
Other foods -Spaghetti squash spaghetti -cranberry yogurt yummies -winter or butternut squash risotto -a variety of dessert flans -various fall flavored madeleines -pumpkin shaped filled doughnuts -cranberry chess pie -cranberry gingersnap cheesecake -custard with apple, cranberry, caramel, spice, ect topping -matcha (pancakes, cheesecake, flan, or something else) with cranberry drizzle -cranberry truffle, spiced chocolate truffle -leaf or acorn shaped lollies -Pies (banana cream, cranberry-apple, and more) -empanadas or fried pies in apple, pineapple, cranberry, spiced custard, pumpkin, chocolate, strawberry, lemon, peach, berry, various meats and more (I thought we already had some but I can’t find them)
Is hot apple cider a holiday restockable and will it be back? I would really like more cider.
EDIT Ok you referenced it and now I really want to see it. Pickled Cranberry Raisin Typhoon from the description for Preserved Abyss. Homemade pickles of various kinds would be a really fun food collection.
I'd like to see some chairs, both indoor and outdoor, for watching fireworks and bonfires from inside or outside the house. And trees to just have in the foreground or background. And maybe some more items to do with yarn/wool.
Since they included an extra theme last year with the new challengers and stuff, we could have more items to do with that, like some books written by the challengers about their experiences.
In addition to food, I'd love to see some more baking/cooking items including fresh or roasted herbs -- but I realize that may be better for Neugarten
-- Breadcrumbs - panko, regular, italian, herby -- Parsley (fresh) -- Cooking wines -- Shallots (why do we not have these?) -- Different types of tomatoes (including ones for focaccia bread) -- Different types of apples and fruits
Would lead to some good recipes for baking with Fantine! But again may have to wait for Neugarten!

I would love to see some vendor stand foregrounds like the veta market items but instead of food they could be selling hand made ren fair wares like pottery, weaving and textiles, leather work, metal work, jewelry, perfume, soap, incense, wood working, ect.
Some more wagons (or maybe some baskets) similar to but filled with apples, different types of gourds, corn, ect.
Some harvest themed experiment pets would be fantastic. Perhaps a pet made out of fruits and vegetables, a scarecrow pet, one made out of chaotic fire or an ominous cloud of smoke.
More medieval armor, in particular chest, leg, shoulder and arm pieces.
EDIT: I really like the scarecrow sets we got for Morostide. It would be fun to have more autumn harvest food heads that we could use with them like a big turnip, potato, cabbage, ect.
Something I only just now realized we have none of:
wearable flashlights and/or modern lanterns
both on and off
Fireside seems like an appropriate time to introduce some, because of the bonfire, being out late at night kind of thing. Or they could just be added to GoOutside's camping section. But it surprised me when I went to make my lil ghost hunter HA to find out we had no modern flashlight wearables.
Oversized cardigans, both open and closed versions! Sweaters with posed arms holding mugs, soup, hot meal. More falling leaves and leaf piles!
Reborn simple pet figurines!
My family and I recently came home from a Ren Faire in PA and it was beautiful with all the fall colors. I move for a whole Faire theme. Backgrounds, masks, jousting items, shop stall foregrounds, costumes, companions, the works! There was even a stage show with fireworks and spinning glow sticks.
I know there are some plushes dresses and head ornaments specifically called "Faire" but I'm talking about going deeper into it. The idea of Veta's historical harvest festival also being a haven for D&D geeks makes me happy.
I’d love to see a variety of fire pits. I just want them as items, but I’m sure others would love them as wearables.
I also have had this idea for a long gown made up of maple leaves that fades from green through a range of autumnal shades. But I’m not an artist, so seems worth a shot to post it here. 😊

Looking at the theme for this month... I love to see more blacksmith related items! Also something to honor Elden Ring... we need a Fire Giant item.... xD
And maybe something for Alexander the Warrior Jar since he tempered himself in the Forge......
100%!!! I would love love love to see Fireside as a Ren Faire theme!!
feels kinda late but just gonna. repost some stuff from the last year or the year before ?? idk these are old suggestions but i still like them
lil dragon wears like the that aren&;t stuck on the arm
w/r/t leaf piles: i know we have these, but that is a baby amount of leaf
gimme that sized leaf pile. let me DROWN in leaves
also some colored smoke items like (with or without avatar cutouts) would be cool
Over the year I've seen most of the holidays evolve new and interesting themes the Medeival one only really showed up last year from what I can tell but it would be fun to see what it becomes.
I've always felt more of a campfire vibe from the holiday. Stars and music, food, friends, family and community. But if the only Ren faire in my area lasted that late I think it would have a similar feeling. I guess we will see where the flickering flames of Fireside take the minds of our artists this year.
I'm hoping to see many of last years unfulfilled requests as well as this years.
Double wings like this plushie would be awesome.
And I would love to have overhanging branches that match the
[edit]Notes for next year: Fireside has begun so it is to late this year but I would love to see an HA border achievement reward for something from Fireside. Being back some older items but revamped to be wearable. Like the fireworks from 2010,the kites from 2009, or either of the ashes. One could be smaller or bigger or on the left or right, light or dark. And on the note of revamped reruns why isn't there a whole series of flavors for this gummy whether wreathed or not.
A Ren Faire with a bonfire would be amazing! Like sitting around the fire telling stories and legends about the Red Rreign and Vetan heroes while people eat smores and drink mead.
Kinda basic but maybe fashion plaid flannel shirts? I was just looking for plaid flannels and the options seem to be the basic monochrome ones in the hiking shop and some older ones that are just grids. Very fall, works for winter too.
We get fire totems how about wooden totems. Playing off the totem thing, food sculptures. Like how you make a volcano out of mashed potatoes at dinner with little broccoli trees. Or even actual sculptures of pets. Also for holiday dinners I like to pay a bit extra and get those bags of rainbow carrots instead of regular orange carrots. Broccoli and bell peppers too come in different colors. Maybe some rainbow vegetable items.
More blacksmithing stuff please~! My one pet needs his TC filled!
