Now I don't know about you, but I've always been quite curious about how much you can make playing the various games across Subeta. Sure, you can always spend a bit of time making 200k/day playing Caliph's Tomb. Or perhaps spend your wizard tokens on the carnival games for a chance at old holiday items! Both of which I do, but what about the other games? Specifically, what about Slots? Well, I decided to find out!

I tossed everything from my inventory and all of my SP (except for 100k) into my vault/shops/galleries. I didn't time how long playing slots took, which I now regret, but it was around two or maybe two and a half hours. If I hadn't been writing down what I won, it would've gone much quicker and been a far easier job. But I did write down what I won, because I'm that type of person, and if I hadn't I couldn't be making this thread. For your viewing convenience, everything is nicely separated so you only have to see exactly what you want! Now, on to what you actually care about- my winnings.

[Spoiler=Times won]Lets start with something simple, like how many times I won- 434 times.

That seems like a lot, right? Well, at 50sp a spin I would've made 2000 spins from my 100k. Not including the money I made from playing slots, which I then used for more spins... Seems like a lot less now, doesn't it? [/spoiler]

[Spoiler=Items won]You can't play slots without winning a few items, yeah? You know what I'm talking about- that book all of your pets have read, the trading card you never want to see again, maybe even the coin you sold for less than it's actually worth because you didn't realize it could be turned in for 15k... Oops!

Books won- 71 Oofa Fruits won- 47 Sporks won- 110 Coins won- 56 Fake Star Rods won- 25 Trading Cards won- 68 Misc Food Items won- 29

Now... that's a lot. I always figured sporks were the most common item to win which seems true, at least for this. However, I also thought the coins were the rarest reward which turns out to be false, again, at least for this. For those of you who aren't fond of math, my sympathies! But also, I'm a nice person so I did all the math for you- I won 406 items which leaves 28 wins for non-items. You know what that means?[/spoiler]

[Spoiler=The Final Count(down)]Slots spun- 2,732 spins (2000 from original SP + 732 from SP won)

Times won- 434 times VS Times lost- 2298 times

SP spent- 136,600 SP (100k starting SP + 14,100 SP from Oofa Fruit wins + 22,500 SP from SP wins.

Items won- 406 items (71 Books, 47 Oofa Fruits, 110 Sporks, 56 Coins, 25 Fake Rainbow Star Rods, 68 Trading Cards, and 29 miscellaneous food items)

Jackpots won- 2

SP won- 1,039,350 SP (14,100 from Oofa Fruit wins, 22,500 from SP wins, 840,000 SP from Slot Coins, and 162,750 SP from Jackpots)

SP profit- 902,750 SP (SP won - SP spent)[/spoiler]

[Spoiler=Closing Thoughts]So... Was it worth it? Uh, maybe. From the standpoint of SP spent vs won, yes, it was worth it. Based on the amount of time it took? Well, I can't give a great answer to that. The time I took was much, much longer than the time someone else would take specifically because I wrote all my wins down and now I've written all of this.

Was it the best way to spend my time? No, probably not. I could've repriced one or maybe even both of my shops or watched the stores as they restocked and made potentially so much more SP. But I was waiting for the event to start (which it still hasn't) and wanted to do something I hadn't done before, which I did! So a good way to waste time and an okay way to spend time, I guess!

Will I ever play Slots again? Yeah, probably. I might redo this in the (distant) future with a bit more SP or maybe even the same amount and compare the two results. I made a good chunk of change, wasted a few hours (and a few more writing this up); it wasn't a waste of time, and I had some fun.

Is Slots a good way to make SP? Well... that's hard to answer. Say you spend less than 10k and get a slot coin or a large jackpot, then yes, it's a good money maker. But if you spend 20k and only get a book or two to show for it, then obviously it's a terrible way to make money. Spending less than 150k and making over 1 mil, a profit of roughly 800k (902,750 SP!), well, that's an easy answer. Yes, for me, it was a good way to make SP.

How long did it take to write this post? Uh... Well, longer than it took to actually play slots. So... a little too long? It's fine! Don't worry about it.

Will you ever do this (or something like this) again? This specifically, not anytime soon. In the distant future, most likely. Something like this? Now... no spoilers but... soon, yes.[/spoiler]

My love of statistics is partially what inspired me to do this so I'm glad to see others have a similar appreciation! I've never played much of slots before and I wasn't sure if I'd win a jackpot, certainly didn't think I'd win it twice. Now you know that winning the jackpot is a possibility, though slim, it's time to go forth and play all the slots!

A while back when I was farming Frag crystals I kept a log of wins, though not as detailed with the sP totals. I didn't think anyone else would be interested in the numbers haha

I play slots a lot and tend to just stuff the winning items into my vault.

Then the recycle beast asked for slots sporks last week (or the week before) and I had 13,000 saved up. Last week he asked for another slots item, the book and I had another 10,000 items to give him. LOL Now I'm just waiting for him to ask for the trading card :D.

You can make lots of sP with slots, but the time spent to do it just isn't really worth it - I can make lots more sP in lots less time questing, but I won't accumulate so many goodies for the recycle beast, or even fragging. But I actually like playing it and on that basis its worth it to me. If it bores you silly though, definitely not worth it. Also, the payout I get being on the top 10 high scores helps!

Always happy to be of help! I tried to keep track of as much as possible, although there were far too many losses for me to care about keeping an accurate count. Lovely to see even more data, especially with percentages!

I used the fruits to see if I'd get any bugs, which I didn't unfortunately. Like you, I'll be saving the other stuff for recycling. Hopefully something good pops up soon! I agree with slots not being the best for money making with the time spent but if you're having fun, you can't go wrong.

Just tested the fruit/bug ratio recently. Seems that you need to feed your pets around 100 fruit to get a bug - and of course, you can get unlucky and just never trigger that 1% chance. Fortunately you don't have to feed them all to the same pet :).

All things considered, that's pretty impressive! I'm kind of surprised that the slots is so (relatively) profitable, though RNG definitely plays a big part. Outstanding work cataloging all that!

Well, I suppose next time I do this I'll have to spend more and see just how many fruits I can get. Thank you for the info! That's for the future though, my fingers still hurt from all the writing, clicking, and typing.
