Post-Authentication Update Issues
[/box] A new authentication system was added on 7/6/21 (see explanation of what and why here: Authentication). Since then, users have reported various issues they have encountered that appear to be related.This thread will be for reporting related issues and provide updates whenever possible.

Updates
[/box]<p>Keith has been actively debugging this and has already resolved several parts of the problem. Right now, the issue appears to be that some users get automatically logged out of New Subeta too frequently, possibly hourly. This is happening even though the cookie is set to expire after weeks. Keith is actively working on this issue. He&;s using information collected from reports (thank you!), and he has also reached out to teams at ISPs we&;ve had trouble with to see if that helps us out.</p>
<p>Workaround & Other Useful Info</p>
<p>If you are experiencing any of the following issues:</p>
<ul>
<li>Forum threads not loading</li>
<li>Pages on "new.subeta.net" don&;t work/load correctly (including wardrobe, custom wearables, cosmetics, and monthly subscriptions page)</li>
</ul>
<p>Please try going to <a href="https://new.subeta.net/">https://new.subeta.net/</a> and logging in, and then reload the page you were trying to use. 99% of the time the page will load correctly after you do this. Please note that the username is case sensitive on the login form. Other than that, you should use the same credentials you use on Subeta.net.</p>
<p>If you need more help but cannot access the forums, please use the Ticket Center to let us know. This is the fastest and most certain way to get assistance from staff. You can also use tickets to share more information about the problem.</p>
<p>Finally, you can view Admin Post Highlights (and all admin posts) on those pages even if you can&;t load the forums. There is also a link on the news sidebar, "Staff Forum Posts" under "Check Out" section, for your convenience.</p>
<p>Having a shared authentication system across two domains is... very tricky. Thank you so much for sticking with us as we figure this out.
An update on the login problem is -- browsers are really hard :( I&;m working to resolve it, and the UAs have been helpfully collecting information from the people affecting. It comes down to security, and the method we were using for logging in across the site before was about as secure as leaving the wolf in the chicken coop.</p>
<p>The new method uses actual secure functionality, and for some reason, is logging out folks on the new site ~hourly, even though the cookie is set to expire in weeks.</p>
<p>I&;ve also reached out to teams at the ISPs we&;ve been having trouble with to see if that helps us out here :(
<p>Once it is resolved that logging in on new.subeta.net keeps you logged in that should fix all of the cascading from there issues like the forums not loading. The reason they don&;t load is you&;re making a request to the new API, and it&;s saying "sorry you aren&;t logged in" even if you are on subeta.net.</p>
<p>I didn&;t expect this overhaul to go off without a hitch, but this is more issues than I was hoping for. I should have an update soon!

Most of the errors reported have been exclusive to Goggle Chrome - until the issues are cleared up, you can try another browser.

Making a Report
[/box] Please make sure you include the following information in your report:- What browser you are experiencing the issue on (Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
- How frequently does it occur (every day, once a week, etc.)
- How long as it been on-going (first time experienced was today, it's been happening for a week, etc.).
- As much specific information as possible (i.e. the time it made you relog, etc)
- What you were doing when it happened/prompted it
Feel free to post updates so we know if it is still an ongoing issue!

Reported Issues
[/box] Forum Loading Issues - Users have reported the need to log out/in every few hours/each day in order to view the forums. Primarily reported for Chrome. New.Subeta - Login Issue - Logging into the wardrobe on Firefox throws an error: "Login Problem Invalid login credentials, try again?" Cannot change Forum Signature Can&;t Edit Pet Friend Blurb Can&;t Access New Subeta on Chrome BetaUsability issues with 7/6 wardrobe update - WARDROBE related items
I would check it out, but it won't load.
I'm also having issue with loading - I don't even know if or when or how this was answered - I can't see the post to figure that out?
So I'm kindof just guessing that my post will go through. :X
My apologies I hadn't realized there was a thread for this so I subscribed so I don't lose the thread before things get better.
After posting in another thread about an issue related to this where the outfits tab would show all the HAs I can tell you are working on it because now when it logs me out I can't see my HA anymore. It is annoying but I am looking at it as a gift anyway because at least I know when I've been logged out where before I had no warning just endless loading bars in the forums.
But the outfit tab in the wardrobe seems to still be acting up. And I still get this message when I try to log into the link above for the other site. "Invalid login credentials, try again"
Not sure what information is helpful but when you already have the shop open when it logs you out the item previews in the CW shop disappear but the links I tried still loaded.

- How frequently does it occur = multiple times every day
- How long as it been on-going = so long I can't remember
- As much specific information as possible = seems like logging back into new.subeta fixes it until I get logged out again
- What you were doing when it happened/prompted it = mostly trying to load forum threads
Hey ! Have you tried logging yourself out of the normal Subeta site, then back in on new.subeta (not counting when it logs you out without you intentionally doing it)?
I can tell things are changing so far I've been logged in more than two hours with no problem. Let you know if anything changes.
I can't see forum posts- just 5 loading bars for minutes at a time.

I know its already been stated that most issues are revolving around Google Chrome right now, I just wanted to add that forums are loading fine for me on Chrome on my laptop but not working at all on mobile!
idk if this is happening to others, due to the obvious, but both forums and wardrobe aren't working for me. forums won't load, and wardrobe won't let me log in, claiming invalid credentials.
I'm here for the forum loading/post-authentication issues (the forum and wardrobe issues, as quoted above in the first post). I know everyone is working hard on this and it's frustrating for everyone. I want to thank you guys for doing the work. I don't know if there was a new update in the last week or few days but these issues are happening again (had resolved ~7 weeks? ago) Posting here so that I can be pinged as well as in case there are any other issues/people experiencing the same. If I should have made a new topic please let me know.

I am having serious forum issues as well - assuming that by forum issues you mean "posts never load." I can't even read whatever you posted here... I think when I post things, it goes through, judging by the fact that my profile says I have one forum post (prior to this!).
I was going to try to start posting in the forums so I can get into the blue building someday, but that's sorta hard to do when I cannot read anything that anyone has posted!

- How long as it been on-going (first time experienced was today, it's been happening for a week, etc.). Just started within the past week
- As much specific information as possible (i.e. the time it made you relog, etc) I haven't been able to track it because its only when I decide to check out the forums. But it seems to leave me logged in for around 1-2 hours
- What you were doing when it happened/prompted it I knew others had been having problems from the beginning, but my desktop, firefox system seemed fine. I logged in and out multiple times over several weeks and it remained fine. Then I logged out earlier in the week because I was experiencing some lag in the forums, not sure if it was the authentication issue or just site lagginess in general. Since that time it keeps logging me out regularly. I also noticed that I had been logged in with my user name as "Lypsyl" (upper case L), but when I relogged in with that UN it said something about invalid. I logged in again with "lypsyl" (lower case L) and ever since then I've been having problems.

Sorry I can not read here before I post this. Forum also is not loading for me and I do not get into my wardrobe. So I hope posting will work. I stuck on the authentication site. I cleared cache yesterday and I am on mobile android chrome. Before I did this yesterday, the wardrobe still worked. No idea if the issue has something to do with that.
