Similar to how Spectrum and Blacklight are colors that share an art model, I would love to see a variant of the Angel color with dark wings.

Pros: Depending on how the original art files are saved, a Fallen recolor of Angel pets can be less work than a new pet color that requires entirely new art. Cons: There are a lot of pet colors already that have dark / sinister palettes and some users may prefer more diversity in new colors.

I like the idea of a "fallen" pet in contrast to the angelic pets, but I don't think its right to just alter the color scheme (like the blacklight/spectrum). The poses, and in particular the expressions just wouldn't match a "fallen" theme.

I would want them changed to be more like the mortiking, with broken wings, fierce expressions and broken halos. LOL then of course you'd need to make an actual angelic mortiking, with proper wings, halo and happy expression as the "fallen" mortiking.

I mean, I do get the intent behind creating a new color that's a simple recolor (easier for staff, might actual happen etc), but I don't think that would work as a fallen/angelic pairing.

I don't think we should have more recolors of reposes - especially a cash shop color repose.

I'm inclined to agree with Sopheroo. We've had a couple like Blacklight and Harvest, but I really would not like to see more of that continue.

Forgot it was a cash shop potion. That's a valid reason for disliking the idea of a recolor of it.

Support on the grounds they would make the poses different, in a way to be mirror opposite of angelic. :)

Supporting this idea as well. The only thing I can think of is HOW to implement the "fallen" aspect in a variety of ways. Broken halos and wings aside, what else would make a "fallen" pet, well, fallen? For example, the angelic telenine looks like this:

What if the pose was it gnawing off its wings and the halo is shattered on the ground? Tufts of fur or feathers can be missing as well. Color scheme could be dark grays/purples with tinges of its angelic colors muted.

if it's just a recolor, this sounds like it would be easy enough to do as an overlay. and if it's a new repose, it doesn't feel different enough from the existing dark-themed colors to justify the time & work.

also the whole angel/fallen angel theme feels like such a literal tie-in to real-world concepts instead of coming up with more original ideas / colors that have in-universe context. if the site artists are going to work on new repose colors, i'd prefer it be something more interesting & varied from what we already have.

(like... bioluminescent cave monster! saheric sand spirit blessing! for the love of gosh revamp harvest to actually make better use of the diverse autumnal color palette & include more autumn-y things like mushrooms & such!)

This just reminds me that we only have 16 Riftborn pets.

I'd really love to see more recent colors getting completed before getting new ones introduced - Harvest, Blacklight, Storm and Riftborn are all very, very lacking.

seconding frenchi's post here about wanting more originality for the effort that would go into them and also adding that since it would take more than just a basic recolor there's no benefit to staff and just adds to the list of colors were only get like 3 pets in before being added to the list of unfinished colors, just worse because it's cash shop potion imo.
