I just thought I'd take the time to introduce myself. My name is Catherine and I'm from Ireland. I'm 29 years old so I think I may be one of the older players here. So what is Subeta like? Is it active? Does it have a good community? TIA.

Welcome! I'm 30 and it seems a lot of Subeta's users are mostly adults. I believe currently Subeta averages usually between 300-600 players a day. When holidays happen the player count goes up. The next holiday is going to be Masquerade where you can dance with users to earn trinkets to spend in the Steamworks Menagerie or Libertine Lounge holiday shops. Lots of user run games and competitions in the forums during holidays too. Overall the userbase can be really friendly and helpful. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Welcome to Subeta, ! waves hello from across the water (Scotland)

First off, regarding your age, it's probably close to average! As said above, there's a wide range here - teens and young adults, but also a number of middle-aged and older people (like me :P) who never "grew out of" pet sites in the way some naysayers always told us we were supposed to... In part I think that's because so many of the people who started as teens/young adults on Subeta are still here, 10-15 years later; I wonder how many sites get that kind of loyalty?

I'm not one of the more social players, but when I do dip my toe in it I've always found the community here to be pretty great, open and helpful. The forums are certainly quieter than they used to be :( (I think perhaps a lot of people are using Discord these days?) but they do liven up during the holidays... Survival (zombie smooching!) ended just a couple of weeks ago, and Masquerade (steampunk dance party!) is due to start within the next couple of weeks. Masq is probably my favourite Subeta event, a lot of people get into dressing up their avatars... but if that's not your kind of thing (maybe you're here more for the pets than the clothes?), all you need to do is put any old mask on your avatar to join in with the dancing (you can even layer it under the base to be invisible, if you're so inclined) and get free trinkets that you can spend on things like nifty wearables or fancy foods to feed your pet.

I have to say it seems Subeta's community IS quite friendly judging by all of you who commented on my post. You all have gorgeous avatars too! This Masquerade event you've mentioned sounds like fun lol! Hopefully before it begins I'll know more about Subeta in general so I can properly enjoy it. :) the links you've provided will certainly help with that! I checked out your ArtStation page and your DeviantArt page, you do some wonderful drawings :) I like to draw but believe me I am NO artist ha ha.. I would just like to thank whoever has sent me lots of Giftboxes too! I haven't opened any yet, maybe they'll tell me who sent them once I check them out. Very kind ♥

Hi there! Welcome to Subeta! I'm 26 so we're in the same "20s" boat! I started when I was in high school and took a loooooong break, but now I'm back! It's quieter than it used to be but like the other users mentioned, it gets busier during the holidays! I'm looking forward to the Masq coming up! I love dressing up.
