I prefer ping. I don't find your pings to be extra. If this is a general issue, maybe another forum group?

I prefer a ping so I don't have to get notified for every comment on the thread or remember to check it on my own

Personally I like getting pings instead of subscribing! I don't find you ping a lot. :o Plus all of the updates are important/interesting!

I like the pings, too! I get overwhelmed with subscribing, since I get notified with every post. xD

Pings! The thing with subscription to thread is that it re-notifies me for every reply. It gets a bit tiring to filter between actual announcements and then all the responses when people are just discussing and such!

I also much prefer pings - subscribing means I have to get every comment from everyone else, I'd rather just get a direct notification from the officalcw group when you have something to tell us :)

Ping away! When you subscribe to a thread, you get a notification for every comment that's made on that thread, even if it's just someone agreeing with someone else, or...your own comment, as I learned to my sorrow when I was subscribed to my slotting thread.

Pings are a LOT less annoying.
