I have been looking at some threads for set advice on tier 8 and I am getting some ideas but I am still having some difficulties deciding what to get and what to keep. As it is I can only get to about level 20 of battle quests. I am looking to get better than that. Part of that I am sure is just basically I am not great at battling but I think I could probably have a better set too.

I can buy anything from the cash shop if those will help but I really want some weapons that would be helpful to me longer than just one tier if I am going to spend a lot of money on them. I can also sell CSC to get some sp for other weapons. Scrolls are the hardest part for me, I really do not understand them for the most part so just some general point me in the right direction on what I should put in my library and I will go from there. I am not trying to necessarily go for the cheapest, just some weapons and scrolls that I can work at getting. Some of the weapons I am seeing in threads are not even in shops so those probably wont help me out too much.

Your set is good for the most part! The T8 upgrades I would make are:

• Swapping out your Gorgun for Scientist Specs
• Swapping out your Malevolent Grenade for Soma Tablets

For the 8th slot, I think you have two options that would be improvements over your UltimaPlus Tag:

1. Either go with a bomb like Item Hunters Bomb, or
2. Buy a Shinwas Temple Shard from user shops or wait for it to come back to the Crystal Shop, OR buy a Rainbow Vortex from the Cash Shop. The STT and RV are full blockers that are very similar, but RV scales for smaller tiers and has a chance to freeze.

If you don't mind splurging, I would upgrade your Divine Denizhen/Soothing Current into an Aftershocks Scroll or Ocean Currents Scroll. (You really only need one infinite use scroll; Aftershocks is the most popular one.) As for the once per battle scrolls, those are up to you. Do you want more defense, offense, freezing? The combinations are endless.

Hahah it is really cute! There is also this that scales with your pet's tier. The gutting knife is better for Tier 8 but the blade may be a better, more consistent option for Tier 9
