I updated a post with a large amount of text, and the update appeared at first, but disappeared with a portion of the text missing after refreshing the page.
I know it is not a sCode error on my part, as the full text has appeared without issue prior to today. I readded the missing content, and it appeared correctly, then cutoff again after leaving the page and returning.
Looking into this today.

Could I ask if you are copy-pasting text into this from an external program, and if so, which one?
Bit of context: This error is happening on the database level. MySQL indicates that the post has too much data to fit inside the column type. However if I count the characters in your post right now, it's less than 1/4th of the limit, so I am wondering if there is something weird going on causing the content to get cut off at this length. Sometimes it can be caused by things like invisible special Unicode characters and stuff that can get inserted by other programs so I just want to rule that out first D:
We are exploring other potential causes at the same time.

I copy the bulk of the names from this spreadsheet, specifically cell G7. I was doing this before without issue, so I'm not sure if Google changed something or I was just getting lucky prior.
This has happened in other places too.
Example -- here-- I've been copypasting from Notepad++, which should be plaintext!

My 1st post of my CW forum shop lost my master list of my retired items/artist credit x__x It just cuts off at retired and everything else is missing. I don't have a backup list either so I really hope it comes back ;__;
checking in with Forum Titles: The Unofficial Guide 2.0! - i haven't touched it since the end of last month (and i just made changes the first post), but all three posts are broken ><; i have a backup google doc, thank god, but i do hope the posts can be retrieved ;o;
We're working on on getting a backup booted up with those forum posts so that we can restore them!
💖 ✨ 🤗
UPDATE: We got our backup successfully booted up :)
Currently seeing if it's possible to automatically fix all the posts that got cut off.
If that doesn't work, we'll have instructions on how you can get your post fixed by filing a ticket. But hopefully we can get this to work so it saves everyone the effort <3

- I edited your posts to put them back to the backups, but if you have your own backups, feel free to edit the posts now - it should no longer get cut off.
Unfortunately doing automatic restores didn't work, so for the rest, I'm going to ping siteupdate later tonight with instructions on how to contact us to get the backup data restored.

Oh gosh I'm so glad this is a bug and it's fixable. Thanks so much for fixing it. I will be looking out for the site update ping tonight to fix my Donation Presents & Collection Items thread.
Here you go guys, there is information here: General Updates: February 2 <3
Tl;dr you can file a ticket and we'll check the backup we have of the database and see if we can fix your post! Also we (shoutout to King lol) greatly increased the character limit so it will no longer be an issue for you moving forward. <3
