Mine is the anteater! They're so cute and their mouths are so cute, but they're sadly not as focused on as other animals!
How about yours?
I love pigeons, but everyone seems to push them aside.
pigeons are so cute and silly and deserve all the love in the world
Pigeons are very cute and silly.
Lately... I love raccoons and think they're very cute. I also think armadillos are cute!
Pigeons are cute! I love them.
But I gotta say mine is probably moths. I love those little nerds so much. They're just so simple-minded, it usually makes me smile just watching them bumble around and run into stuff like doofuses. And they're fluffy and cute!

I'm so glad for all the pigeon love!
I also love moths! <3
Manatees are soooooo cute omg
so squishy and soft looking. so gentle.
Burrowing owls and red pandas. So cute. insert crying emoji here

hard agree
red pandas are perfect and deserve the world and owls are so cute! When I went to college in Arizona there was a little section in the parking lot where you could see two little owls pop up occasionally!! I think those were burrowing owls.
or the real life counterpart. Digging around has revealed them to me, to this day I don't know what they mature into.
I also like mules, one of my OC's is one and I dig the idea of no capacity for reproduction. Like Vioran soldiers...
I also love moths! They're fuzzy and curious and simple and pure, and they come in so many different shapes and colors. When I am lucky enough to find big moths outside, it's usually the highlight of my day, haha.
I don't know if these count as underrated, but I love cichlids (an aggressive type of fish)! I have a 75 gallon tank with a few African cichlids in it, and I love how each one has a slightly different personality. My favorite fish, a melanochromis auratus named Bisley, is a HUGE asshole. He cracks me up.
Shoutout to aquatic turtles, too, for just kinda doing their own thing. Most of them are pretty ugly (in an endearing way), and they're not very smart creatures, but I admire them for existing.

I mentioned this specific species, Pacific sand dabs. One of few left dominant fish. Left dominance is uncommon in the animal and plant kindoms, polar bears are universally felt pawed. So is honeysuckle...
Hedgehogs... in romanian they're called 'arici' -read as "AH-REE-THCI"? the reading is like in italian/spanish - each letter as it's written. the last 2 vowels are short though. should listen to it on google translate.
I recently discovered the 'little carpet' - an ocean creature .. carpet anemone? i went to the pet store, and i was looking at fish, and one of them seemed to be empty .. except the rock was waving! and i read it's a little carpet. it's the most perfect thing in the ocean! <3

Walruses, cuz the ladies totally rock those whiskers.
I agree with hedgehogs. Considering moving out of my no pets allowed apartment just to own one. Though I probably shouldn't lol.
this summer there was one in front of my mother''s building in the middle of the city!! o.o he was pretty big! but frozen with fear, lol. Mother brought an old cloth, and managed to take him out of the path of humans and dogs. he had such tiny feet for such a big body, lol <3

A opossum. They have some at the zoo near me. By some I mean two. I follow a lot of opossum accounts on instagram and want one, desperately. They are very cute and soft looking once you give them a bath.
