Rats! Do they count as underrated? They're often dismissed as being vermin but they're far from it!

Bats are absolutely adorable and I love them so much. I'm also a huge fan of manta rays but I'm not sure if those would be considered 'underrated'.

Scavenger birds. They are very important for keeping carrion cleaned up and therefore keeping bacteria under control.

Don't know if these are underrated; they usually play the 'ugly' characters, but I adore frogs :) Some of the brightly coloured species are very pretty to look at :)

Camels. Camels are my absolute favorite. Dromedary is the preference. Not that I don’t love Bactrians as well... just there’s something more aesthetically pleasing about a one humper

Hemachatus haemachatus (Rinkhals/ring necked spotting cobra.) They’re not true cobras but have super cool hoods like cobras. They also fling venom. If that fails to deter threats they play dead! They also give birth to live young which is odd for an elapid.

I have to add nudibranchs, or sea slugs!!! There are so many incredible and beautiful kinds! (And the Japanese word for them is "umiushi", which I think is super precious hehe). I adore axolotls too ♥

Oooh but also so many lovely furry animals! Rats are wonderful too, and other rodents! Water voles are definitely underrated hehe. And!! Sugar gliders!!!!! Precious lil marsupials aaa ♥

Kakapo parrots, cause they're round

Bats I would also say snakes and ravens but they seem to be popular enough

Sea Anemones because animals that look like plants.

I agree with ...manatees...amazing creatures! Also, koala bears :)

Frogs and toads! There are some really beautiful ones out there, and the "ugly" ones are so cool and charming. There's a frog exhibit at my city's aquarium, and it's full of wonderful tiny frogs.

Man, raccoons are mad dumb with trash and all, but they really encapsulate the spirit of innocent mischief and naive silliness. The way they rub their hands, and just how their hands look really, can't be thought of differently!

Axolotls. I really want one when I get my own house one day

Bumblebees, kiwi’s, hummingbirds and puffer fish.

Water buffalo ! They are awesome, and its relaxing to watch them some times plus my son loves them.

Bees, bears, possums.

I have a super soft spot for pigs! Not just the tiny teacup ones everyone is getting for pets! I like the giant pigs too! They say pigs are rather intelligent too!

I also love Octopi! People say it's odd that I do considering I have a phobia of spiders but I've never connected the dots between the two on them. They two are incredible creatures, able to fit through the tiniest spots.

Other than that, I really love the mysteries of the Deep Sea creatures. When I was a kid I feel like we heard more about them, but in recent years no one seems to talk about them as much!

Agreeing with the people who already mentioned rats and bats <3 and personally I also have this weird soft spot for Guinea fowls :') especially when they start running around Haha.. also, idk if they're underrated or not but I love otters a lot too <3
