When I came back to the site I didn't want a few of the pets I had, so I ended up abandoning them. But I still find myself checking up on them to see how they're doing lol do you ever do the same thing ?

I do sometimes, curious to see if anyone did anything with them that I just couldn't. I regret some choices but hey it happens.

I've only had one pet that I abandoned my entire time on site, and that was years ago when I was still pretty new to the site.

I was holding it for the user Jacket( who's no longer on site) and they eventually chose to not take that pet. I think I checked up on it once or twice years ago, but haven't checked on the pet since if it's still around under the original name. It was a velosotor though.

I used to check up on the one pet I've abandoned pretty regularly, and this thread just inspired me to look her up again. She's on an inactive account now, so RIP. ;^; lol

the zapper pets i host for a short time, sometimes Adopt R Us-grabs too... i check uppon them only like a day after sending them back to Adopt R Us, if i don't see them back in there first (as a basic/again-zapped pet), that is. XD i just can't and don't want to keep track of them all.

however from my old lovies i adopted out like (way) before 2014 i have links on my profile. checking them is mostly useless... since most of those got left inactive on site way back when pets itself where cleared, not only the name made avaliable... TTnTT One however seems to be well and kicking since 4 years. so: YEAY!

I checked up on a few really old pets I abandoned back in 2009-2010 recently. Most of them are owned by inactive accounts, though I guess that shouldn't come as a surprise given I abandoned them nearly a decade ago. The surprising one was a fan pet I created and abandoned because I lost interest in them, which the new owner then changed into a fan pet for a completely different character with the same name.

I do because I'm really curious whether they stayed the same or changed, and I love to know previous owners of the pets I've adopted from there too.

I love seeing where my old pets end up. One of them even won the spotlight a few days ago, it made me v happy c:

I do for some of the names I have adopted out over the years but sometimes I forget. Always interesting to see how they progress or where they end up over the years.

I have a google docs with almost all the pets I've zapped and released, there's over 550. Not just the names but the IDs as well. Though I don't really check up on them as much as you'd think with how I have to record. Sometimes I'll go back through the oldest ones and if the name is free I'll recreate the pet.

the new owner turned it into a Slayers fanpet. I never got too far into Slayers (I only watched about 3 episodes) so I had no idea the character existed.

I do sometimes, mostly for names that I regret getting rid of. Looks like none of them have stories or anything done to them, and none of them are the species they used to be. Oh well.

If I can remember the names of the pets, I'll check up on them occasionally XD Most of the time they've stayed with the person who adopted them from me, which is nice. That tells me they really wanted that pet especially, and not just an avatar or achievement or whatever. It doesn't bother me if they change the species and color, because hey, their pet now XD

Yes all the time. there's a couple that I check frequently to see progress. Some I can't remember, but sometimes I'll go back in my past forum posts and see what happened to the ones I adopted out but can't recall off hand. It's always nice seeing things change.

I probably would, but I've never abandoned any. Heck, they even all have the same names they've always had even if I find it annoying now. :D

i do!! it's always nice to see previous pets getting the love and attention i couldn't give them. my muse, she is a fickle thing when it comes to creating characters on here

I've checked on a few that I was pretty attached to, names that meant a bit more to me than others, but I don't do it often (though now I've got the bug again). There was one pet I made close to when I started here that I abandoned. I always regretted it and would stalk the name in case the pet was ever UFA. The name ended up on an account that wasn't active and after almost a whole year of waiting I was able to create a new pet (same color and species) with the name! There are others I probably could have done more with if I had been more patient, but it happens.
