I tried reading some in the battle section and it said it is good for scrolls but the only scrolls that I found in the scroll maker took only 7 AP. Are there more scrolls to make when you get a higher tier? My pet is tier 6 and has 112 AP, is there something else that you do with AP?

There are other scrolls available than the ones you can make at the shrine. Lots of the better scrolls you can only use once per battle (though you might have multiple copies of the same scroll in your set), so high AP is pretty important! More details in this thread: The Complete Scroll List

is a high rate freezing scroll you make as a Genetech combo from challenger loot. It takes 13 AP. Other freezing scrolls cost 15 or 16 AP. They're all once per battle, so to get more freezing chances you'll want more scrolls in your set, each one eating up 13-16 AP each. These are a bit of a double whammy as they cost a lot of AP and you'll want more than one of them, meaning you'll need a large pool of intellect.

On a slightly smaller scale are blocking scrolls like Cobalt Eternal and Santuria Exodin. They cost 8 AP each and are once per battle, but having several of them can be really useful.

there one (passive) other use for AP. The Secluded Shrine, where you make scrolls, goes up to level five. If you wish to make those level five scrolls instead of buying them from other users, your active pet will need to have 25 AP.

That is to say, it won't cost you 25 AP to cast any of these level five scrolls in battle. It requires you to have 25 AP in order to make them. You can make the scrolls with a pet that has 25 AP and then any other pet that wants to battle and has a lesser amount can use the scrolls if they only have as many AP as the scroll actually requires.
