Step 1: Collect a ton of wearables in your wardrobe. Step 2: Choose one item you want to build an outfit around. Step 3: Figure out what kind of theme or color palette you are aiming for. Step 4: Go through each layer and see if you can find items that mesh well with the original item. Step 5: Painstakingly go through every item in your wardrobe until you have an outfit that looks decent. Ta-da :P

That's cool :D I guess you can only do that with the old backgrounds though? Since the new ones don't have a blank spot for the HA :(

I really like the HA you are wearing right now :)

Those all make a HA cutout but there's other little design elements included. I'd look for things among those lines though.

Now we just need to add the Curious Little Dolls, plus the eyes, mouth, and nose layers, on top to make it look like a semi-normal HA :P

I also find something i like and tend work on an outfit around that one element lol

i also like to decide on an item and make an outfit around it but i also try to think if i want it cute, fancy, scarry, ...

for something cute or seductive i love to use as blush, it is cheap and you can put nearly all eyes over it to cover the drunk eyes i mostly combine it with and/or (adore any color of these)

: Oh, thank you! Those are great tips - "blush" I would have known to search for, but I never would have found the freckle gels on my own, let alone the tankard XD

Are there any other unusual make-up items you lot keep in your kits? I use eyes/mouth/cheeks but I haven't seen like... concealers or anything. I guess the Curious Dolls count - anything else that's not a Face item?

I'm usually not trying for human skin, though, which I guess matters. XD My go-to face is [preview=haunted eclipse charm] + [preview=rotten lens]

i like to use these eyes too! i am too lazy to list all the items so i just made a HA with many items from the "body" layer since there are many interesting items things i like to use to make my HAs scarry and none human Private Outfit

I spent a lot of time in the old Wardrobe trying to black out the built-in eyes on the Darkmatter Skin (which I used for years to cover up my zombism).

One of my favourite sneaky Wardrobe tricks ... is creeping on other people. If you go to https://subeta.net/shared.php?userid=IDNUMBER then you can see all the HAs that person has saved! It's really handy for finding out what items are when the person hasn't enabled the "Show Clothes" thing on their profile.

You can grab their User ID easily from their HA: drag and drop it (or right-click and Open In New Tab) into the URL bar, then it'll be like https://sapi.subeta.net/avatar/IDNUMBER.png?x=MORENUMBERS.

Example: my Shared Outfits page is https://subeta.net/shared.php?userid=670601

: oh also, if you check the Image Info for anybody's avatar, it should be just http://avatar.subeta.net/USERID.png (and open in its own window). I'm not sure why it has to have all the gibberish on the end before it will open in the browser, but.

i did that so long ago i think it was when you still couldn't use more than 2 items per layer
