Hey guys, I've been wanting to know what the hell is going on in my head or maybe you guys have something similar.

I've been having these headaches for years, I don't even know why or how it all started but it's becoming more common now. They used to pop up once every like couple months or something. Now it comes up almost everyday.

It's a small headache that feels like brain-freeze or tension, but on one side of my head (top half, mostly on my left) and it just pops up randomly and lasts for about 5 seconds, possibly more and then disappears.

It's not necessarily painful in most cases, just irritating. It's just coming up more often too.

You know how opticians can sometimes spot something wrong with the brain and the eyes and etcetera, and the last time i've been was a couple years ago and I had 20/20 vision and he spotted no abnormalities. So I am due for another appointment I guess.

Does anyone have this as well and know what it could be? Thanks guys.

There are TONS of things that can cause headaches, from caffeine deprivation to dehydration to tumors. I'm sure you've been told this before, but your best bet is to get it checked out by a doctor.

i'd also suggest seeing a doctor, however it'd care to make sure you're drinking enough water first! dehydration can indeed cause headaches, as the user above mentioned. i actually have a friend who constantly carries a bottle of water with her wherever she is, and once i asked her why she always drank water and she told me it was because it alleviated her headaches when she'd get them. apparently she has chronic headaches, and for some reason the water helps.

but in the end, if that doesn't work and neither does any other debunk for other common causes, i'd definitely see a doctor if your headaches don't go away. sometimes the cause can become quite serious.
