this was brought up earlier last year - Move Lightweight Egg to vault

since the coliseum reset, i'm sure many of us have been re-battling opponents and earning lots of stat boost eggs - only, if you're re-fighting these opponents, chances are good that your pet is already too strong to use eggs! but the eggs, like most (but not all) r202 (not tradeable) items, CANNOT be moved to the vault. which means you either have to figure out some pet to use them on, delete them, or just live with them in your inventory indefinitely.

i'd really like to be able to just shove these dang eggs in my vault until i can figure out what i want to do with them. deleting them seems wasteful and shortsighted - i don't intend to start training other pets, but maybe i could offer to use them for others' young battle pets.

presumably if some r202 items can be moved to the vault, it should be possible for all of them; but it was never clarified on the other thread if this disparity has anything to do with whether or not an item was account-locked before the introduction of the 'not tradeable' rarity. either way i'd at least like some confirmation of what is or isn't possible.

i would love some confirmation on this, yeah

i'm putting off battling with my littles 'cause i haven't decided what i want to do with all those eggs, and i don't want to have problems questing bc i have some ungodly number of them cluttering up my inventory. being able to at least move the eggs into my vault would at least let me wait until i have all of them before i have to decide on who to use them on ;o;

I believe the stat eggs were made edible to give them another use so they wouldn't clutter up people's inventories quite as much. My guess is that the problem with the eggs is that you can then move the vaulted items to shops via the dropdowns and menus at the bottom of the page.

Probably the same reason why things like Loyalty Boxes are also unvaultable.

Not sure what is up with other non-tradeable items being able to be moved, that might be a bug. :X

They should probably be able to make it so that you can't move non-trade items to shops through quick stock though, I know another site had it that way with certain items. You could still use quick stock to move them to your vault area, but not your shop.

I don't know how hard it would be to implement here, but hopefully it's something that could be done.

Full support! I'm getting eggs that I don't want to use yet and would appreciate being able to move them to my vault :(

I support this. Usually I put things into my shop or vault for the sake of getting it cleared out of my inventory.

A part of me is curious though, would it really break the economy that badly if the eggs were sellable? Only pets tier 2< can use them from what I can tell, and tier is determined by overall stats and not level. If selling eggs is absolutely not feasible then I understand, but back on topic, I would like another way to get them out of the inventory.

The best way to be happy with someone is to be happy alone. That way, company is a matter of choice and not a necessity.

Better yet, just make them tradable. Who care if you can make a tier 3 pet for 20mil, its not that powerful of an effect for the headache they cause.

Oh support! I just started training up a secondary battle pet just so I'd have something to do with those eggs, but clearly not everyone wants to do that.

I don't mind that they're account-locked but I agree we should be able to move them around. I'd personally like to put some of them in my gallery and maybe pet treasures. And vault away the extras. I'm a little frustrated that I can't use them like that.

From some of the replies here there seems to be a problem with shops not differentiating between non-tradeable items so you could potentially price/sell them, or? And that's why they're inventory-bound?

(For me and others who may want them for pet treasures etc, an option would be to make them transformable into a useless item that only has the same art and neither of the edible or training properties. Doesn't solve this topic's main problem though unfortunately but thought I'd mention it still).

I'd love to be able to shove those eggs into my vault, then I can use them on a mini battle pet once I've eventually decided which one will be trained up. :D

(although it'd be even better if (slightly) higher tier pets could use them too! 😇)

Everyone has eggs on their mind, but I'd really like to be able to put my Loyalty Boxes in my vault rather than having to keep them locked in my inventory. I want to use the stat totem, but these totems increase in 'value' by quite a bit once you hit tier 13 due to the experience cost for stats. It may be a year or more before I hit tier 13 assuming I BQ every day.

I just want to be able to tuck them away in my vault because this is such a long term waiting game and they've been in my inventory for 5 years now.

Luckily I have a low tier pet to throw eggs at but they really can be such a pain. I'd love if we could move them around as we please - vault, galleries, TCs - and wouldn't be opposed to being able to frag/sell/gift them.

while the original eggs themselves aren't transformable, there actually are similar items created specifically in response to people wanting to use the eggs in galleries and pet treasures, but they are unfortunately not identical. i guess it was supposed to be a comprimise...

Ahh, I forgot about those. They're neat, but yeah it's not the same.

(For use in a TC the alternate versions actually give off very different vibes, imo. So I don't think they work very well as replacements).

yeah i agree they aren't great replacements - the dull blue egg doesn't glow! empty egg got nothing in it! but i guess it's what staff were willing to offer.

Yeah the eggs are a problem. I have only 1 pet who can still use them, but won't be able to for very long.

In my case, though, I have several empty pet slots so I can always make another pet to use them on. I also use them to feed pets before battling, but I don't use the resorts.

With limited inventory spaces and places that won't let you buy if your inventory is full, this can become very limiting. If it were just the loyalty boxes (which are finite), it wouldn't be such a problem.

My recollection of their creation of the eggs was that they were intended to help smaller pets and encourage participation in battle by new players.

The reason they were account locked was that battlefolk were all frantic and upset at the mere idea that stat boosters becoming super cheap and were also slavering at the idea of buying them from users who just weren't interested in fighting all that much. Staff were concerned that new players from other more inferior virtual petsites that do allow multiple accounts would be tempted. I dunno if there was such a thing as 'tier' at the time.

My two dollars towards the problem posted in the OP is that I think they should unlocked from the generating accounts and made tradeable. So what if they become super cheap? This way more users who are more casual battlers can have some fun.

My workaround is to offer to egg-boost friends' pets, or lacking anyone who wants this at the time I have them, adopting a pet and boosting the heck out of it just for the lulz.
