Subeta has been seriously starting to frustrate me for a while now, like making me so mad I want to scream levels, and I realize it's because I've been putting so much of my time, energy, and virtual money into trying to complete a small set of very difficult and costly achievements. Namely I've been after Shop Till Saver, Filled Wardrobe, and the major collection trophies all at the same time, with a bit of a side for pretty much anything else I can get my hands on.

For me, I feel like completing those particular achievements is basically winning this game. I've been trying to do it for years, and my patience has been run so thin it has holes in it at this point. In amongst my considering how I could "win" this game faster or if I even want to, is the simple question.... what would I do if I did complete those achievements and "win" the game? I've never really done much else here except grind for those achievements and some other clothes I like.

So here's my question to all of you - If you've set these kind of goals before and you've accomplished all of them, what do you do now? What do you do after you've "beat" the game?

i'm mostly on subeta to work on my pets and even if i "finish" them all (which will never happen but you now) i'll just get more so i guess there's no winning |D plus i love the community and my friends so that's another reason to stay~

I don't view Subeta as a game that can be "beat" or has any final goal for me. Perhaps that is because I do not care about achievements, wardrobe stuff and the like. If I get those it's nice, but to be honest I hardly ever really look at the achievement page. In the beginning, I saved sp to get the pets that I wanted to have, and ever since I accomplished that I have just been saving money for nothing in particular. I don't need fancy pet profiles, throphies etc., I'm just here to do some quests and restock a bit here and there, and it hasn't gotten boring yet. Then every once in a while I'll set myself some smaller goals, like for example restocking complete sets of clothes from the Subeautique, training my pet to a certain level, getting enough csc for some challengers etc. (doing those right now), and these things bring me joy, but I never see them as my only reason to be here. Also, I'm looking forward to every site event like Morostide and Vesnali, I think they're always great fun.

Best of luck!

I don't think I even really have any solid goals on this site, tbh. haha I like to collect wardrobe stuff and make HAs, and those are always improving, so I don't really feel like I'll ever feel like I beat that.

As for achievements, yeah, I want things like the shoptill saver, wardrobe achievements, etc, but I'm of the mindset that "if I get them, I get them." Like, I rarely actively seek out achievement items unless they're super cheap or I really, really want the reward. So I guess I'm a pretty liesurely player? ^-^:

I found if I focus on just a handful of specific, difficult goals, I'll just get frustrated and it'll ruin the whole point of me playing.

I love this game and it kind of sounds like it is not fun for you anymore, which isn't good for anyone. Take a break, come back later if you want, but if it negatively affects you like anything in life, move on.

There will always be more Achievements more items and more things to do. There is no way to be entirely totally complete forever, because that's not the purpose of the game, which is a profit making company. After you win, someone will beat your record. It's like asking Kabushiki Gaisha Pokemon to erase all but the original 150 pocket monsters. You could have a satori about the illusions of life and how this applies to your Suffering and quit?

Me I don't care if I never complete All The Things. Winning is the fun little journey as the site changes and grows.

I've had big goals before and beat them. Shop till and such was one of them, but the biggest was the filled wardrobe ones. While I've been working on the other collections as well, I decided to focus on only one of them mainly (it's not as draining that way). So wardrobe was first, then I did cards. And am casually adding to plushies and beanbags. Both of those were mostly in service of my lofty goal of having 2000 achievements. Even when I get there I don't think I'll stop. I like watching the numbers go up.

Achievements are only one part of the game, though. I work on my pets' treasures etc. and I collect items for my personal-defined collections. If I ever finish those I suppose I'll find new goals and activities. What I like best about Subeta is plots and events, and I think that's a reason to stick around on its own.

Finish the collections, it's the best achievement that you can ever do here, I felt so awesome when I finished them.

Also, there so many achievements to earn, I see that you have around 850 achievements, it's really just a beginner number haha work on many others, beat those goals, reach the top 10 for example, never stop to achieve them!! :)

The day I come to log in and the site is done/closed is the day I finally beat this game.

୧( •̀ᗝ•́)૭ I will win one day, Subeta.

Really though, , if playing is stressing you out so much I'd suggest a break, as mentioned. The game will be here when you get back, I promise. ;) I think my only goals on here is to just complete some achievements, mess with my avatar, and enjoy myself. When it gets too much, I stop logging in as much.

I guess I did just complete my trading card collection the other day, but that was pretty much by luck, as staff decided to put the final card that I needed in the crystal shop. Since I'd been fragging items, I could immediately buy it. That was pretty great~ (now I want some new cards to collect though, haha.) I'm also at 299 bathhouse days. As long as I don't mess up tomorrow, that'll be done too. (also great.)

Oh! And I know that it was a pain to let the shop till saver fill up, but it was also very nice to have all of that money at the end. ❤️ I used to do vending to fill up my shop and keep it topped off, but now it would be better to just sell the tokens, as the average item isn't usually worth as much as a point of wizard token. And, they're more in demand right now with the human zapper being open until the end of Morostide and there was just a token shop restock. I also used vending to fill my wardrobe faster, but sold any newer clothing item that might have popped out; if you already have a bunch of the more common items in there, you'd still have more to sell! I like Ocean Depths, as there is a chance for a Riptide weapon. Took about 13,000 vends to get one, though, but they're a rare vend that you can only get there.

Unfortunately these are my feelings after having taken a break. Multiple breaks, actually, of varying lengths. Perhaps I probably should quit, but unfortunately Subeta does have the best items and events out of every avatar site I've found (that still exists), and I am so obsessed with self-expression it's pretty hard for me to turn my back on that even with as much as the rest of the site infuriates me.

That's pretty much what I've done, just with a focus on the ones I'd mentioned.

Well, you're not wrong, and that would be the sensible thing to do. :/ Guess I kinda just don't have any sense with some things.

What? I'm normally pretty decent with metaphors, and the "illusions of life" is one I'm familiar with and in fact one I came to realize before myself, but you've still managed to lose me with that.

Somehow that doesn't surprise me. Despite how long I've been on this site (almost ten years now) and my usual inclination towards getting achievements, I just never have the patience to keep up with it.

I'm going to have to go for now, but I do appreciate everyone's input. I'll definitely be re-reading it all when I get another chance.

Isn't that what life basically is? A series of things that don't make any sense? It is for me at least lol I hope you manage to find something that grabs you, for me it was CWs and now I'm in deeeeeep. I don't know if this is good or bad though haha

also LOL I didn't understand the metaphor of the person under me either, looks like we can be lost togetha

I'm winning Subeta in my own way but it has nothing to do with items, I put my time and energy into my battle pet. Everyone has their own idea of what their goals and "winning" is, I think. You just have to find the type of winning that makes you happy on this site :)

I pretty much work on something everyday, my main interest right now is getting my pets high in the food and book lists, i also work on plushies etc, but i dont think about it all the time you know? like, just do something small daily without thinking too much... it pays off eventually, yeah some things really take time and patience.

But i think this is what the game is about...some achievements are easier to get than others. If it wasnt like that it would be real boring, but you can get stuff if you put your mind to it.

I would say yes in the sense that my main goals are done :D I can always find more to do, but friends and site events are the main reason I stick around. It's kind of nice being finished with what I wanted to do because now I can do anything, if that makes sense. Like, I don't feel tied to particular things and can do as I please.

Kind of echoing that there's always going to be new stuff to do c: For me, what I would consider beating the game in a way, is something I've been working on for years; getting a pet that's capable of beating all of the battle opponents at least five times each, including the "impossible" level challengers. I feel like I'm going to be working on that one for ages to come though x)

IF that were to ever happen though, I'd probably just keep doing what I do normally; collecting foods for my gourmand pet (which has become somewhat of an obsession of mine) and getting the new achievements as they come out, working on my wardrobe, etc. Ultimately though, there's always going to be something new to do eventually.

That being said though, there are times when I get bored with subeta in between holidays and get bored of the monotony of doing quests and training my pet, and then I just end up taking a break and doing other things for a while. Sure, it hinders progress a little bit, but I don't think there's really a time limit for anything, so.. c:

See, I don't think I can do that. I am a thinker, and I don't have fun when my mind isn't even a little bit engaged. Doing things mindlessly is part of what got me to this point. That's why I really like some of the major events, but why I can't stand the general gameplay. D;

That does make perfect sense, and really, is exactly what I'd hope to find. I'm glad to know someone did find that. The only trouble for me is, I don't have any friends here.

I made the mistake of starting to battle. I started battling because I wanted the cool wearables and the fancy achievements. Now I'm trying to beat all opponents, getting the best weapons and scrolls, raising my pets stats through the roof etc. And now that I've finally beaten almost all opponents, I started raising a second battle pet (and a third, and a fourth, and a fifth plus maybe a sixth; maybe I should just raise them all O.o ) This is a neverending story xD Especially with the upcoming changes on November 11th, since up untill now you could only get cool stuff in the first ten wins, but now I believe they will change that and include rewards which you get after the first ten wins, which will make my battling career with 6 pets eat impossible amounts of time xD

And if you think having 6 battle pets is crazy, go look at the battle forums. There are some people there with like 20 tier 13 pets. With only one tier 13 pet, I feel like only being a beginning battler sometimes :P

No I definitely know there are plenty of people who have more than that. :v I don't watch the battle forums much but I have seen it during some of the major events with limited one-per-pet items.

I actually haven't read the battle updates myself, I was just going to wait until they were implemented to find out what was changing. I've only got my one Tier 4 battle pet, I would like to focus on raising him up more after I've finished blowing all of my sP on the other achievements.
