Hinata and Bokuto from Haikyuu. Hinata isn't hard at all but Bokuto's side was very hard to fill. I'm trying to craft a backing insert instead of pinning everything on the cheap fabric uwu.

I've been doing Inktober for real this year. I usually forget the first day and don't do it at all, or do the first few days and then stop. It's probably my best streak so far at 5 days LOL.

I've never even heard of Inktober before and suddenly now I'm seeing it mentioned everywhere! I wish I'd heard about it soon enough to gear up for it and really try but as I mentioned in the other thread, at least I coincidentally drew something this month (after a very long art hiatus) so I feel good about that. Yesterday I inked it and that's my least favorite part of drawing cuz I'm afraid I'll screw up and I often don't like the final lines as well as the pencil sketch. So participating in Inktober would probably be really good for me; I do need the practice. I'll plan to draw a few more things I guess but I know I won't do one every day. My drawings tend to take more than one day to even finish. It's a great idea though!

I'm trying to be more consistent with making art, so I thought it'd be a good goal to get drawing each day for at least a month. I've done NaNo for ... 9 years now? I've found it super cathartic in the past but I'm nervous about this year. I'm one of the Municipal Liaisons for it, and my ML crew is a little ... drama-y right now because of one member being frustrated with NaNo HQ. And, one of my friends I met through NaNo passed away this spring so it's been hard to feel motivated to do stuff that I associate with her because it makes me sad. Heh. Sorry to get vent-y there! sweats

You could always hop on late, if you really wanted! It is great practice. I'm using prompts from another source other than Inktober cuz the official ones didn't really speak to me. I'm only drawing in ink this year! No pencil sketches.

It's alright. And somehow, I can understand. I really hope you'll be able to do it (especially if you enjoy it!). I'm unable to do these things mostly because my life is very unstable right now. (plus the mood just isn't there)

Yeah, I'm still gonna try...not every day but even one drawing every week would be an improvement for me. But this, "I'm only drawing in ink this year! No pencil sketches." That's like...climbing a mountain without ropes and safety gear! No thank you! You're braver than I am! XD (I mean, I have tried it, never turns out good at all though.)

That's a good plan :3 Sometimes drawing in ink makes me draw looser? I have been doing some sketches in light colored ink (like, peach) and then going over it in black. It's sort of a nice middle ground.

Hmm, drawing with a really light color of ink first sounds like an interesting idea...I might just try that. ^^ I think I actually have a peach gel pen somewhere...

It can sometimes create an interested effect, too! Sometimes I add marker in at the very end in a matching color, so it kind of masks any super weird lines heh.

If only I could regain the fun. I used to draw a lot back in the days and I've been really wishing to start again. I scribble a lot and it looks like my skills aren't all dead (thanks god). I definitely need to practice again q__q !

As long as it stays fun, that's probably the goal of it.
