Computer OS: windows 7 home premium
Browser(s): google chrome Version 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit) (newest version)
Page URL(s): many? i have a shop and a gallery and if i go to commerce - YOU SHOPS neither will show. if i click on the individual shop/gallery, the URL for that will come up and load but I do not have a SHOP FRONT option or any way to view the shop. if i try to click on the shop or gallery from my profile, it goes to https://subeta.net/user_shops.php and tells me I have "You currently have 0 out of a maximum 4 shops and galleries." even though i have one shop and one gallery. under COMMERCE and YOUR SHOPS it lists both of them but there is a triangle with a "!" next to both of them.
Buttons used prior to the error (back button, refresh, opening in a new tab/window, etc):error is always occuring since I have returned to Subeta recently
How long you have been experiencing this issue: I am not sure because I just came back from a long hiatus and this has been going on at least since then? sorry
Consistency (always occurring, frequently occurring, occasionally occurring, rarely occurring, etc. - details, if possible): always occuring
Specifically what you are experiencing: I listed the issues under URLs
Steps used in attempts to resolve this glitch/bug:hard refresh, clearing cache and cookies, making sure cookies were enabled, disabling adBlock extension, multiple restarts of browser and also computer
What do you see when you attempt to access the page in question (a screenshot may be helpful)?:here are some screenshots of what is happening:
this is the triangle symbol next to my shop/gallery names
it goes right to this page when i try to click on a shop from my profile
Shops were changed over to a whole new system a long time ago already. There is a guide here:
Seriously? -____- I didn't see this posted anywhere. Is this just me being dumb, did I miss a link? If not this should be linked like... IN the shops or something. Ugh. will start working on this.
It was linked on the news page for maybe 6 months? I'm not sure how long, but quite a while. However, I agree that it should be more obvious, especially for returning users.
For real it should be, I was gone for a looong time.
While I have you here, quick question:
If I am reading correctly, I should remove all of my items from my shop and my gallery, delete them, then make new ones and that should be it? Or am I incorrect?
Yes, you have to move your items to your inventory first. You can also transfer your shop till if you were working toward an achievement.
Thank you so much. What a headache. Haha. I really appreciate your help. I'm going to add a link to this in my guide.
No worries, glad I could help some. The people who keep up with the guides really do the work. It was a change meant to help with the servers which were going down constantly and it didn't even help. They had to do a whole lot more than take our shops and galleries before things got under control, so a lot of players are still salty about it.
In April or March of last year the usershops were revamped. Instead of trying to work around old broken code, the staff decided to "lock" up the old usershops and have us create new ones which use the new code.
You can create a new shop without worrying about messing up your old shops. While they have restricted what you can do in your old shop - items can't be priced, new items can't be added, there is no quick stock, etc. - the items already in the shop will remain there until you move them. Eventually AFTER you have moved all of your items you can delete your old shop.
Here is a guide for the new usershops: url=https://subeta.net/forums.php/read/854270[/url]
[edit] Gosh, I am so slow today. LOL Glad this is resolved! :)
Sounds like the Subeta I know tbh e__e;;;;
Thanks! This guide really needs to be linked on the old shop pages or something. I had no way of knowing this. Everything just seemed broken.
I agree! There needs to be some sort of notification, perhaps one that is triggered by a user with a sign-up date prior to the change having no new shop. Like "Have you heard about the shop revamp? Here is a guide to help you with the transition." or something along those lines... -shrugs- It regularly confuses returning users.
I wonder if there would be a way to make the little triangle "!" symbol a link to the news post or to the guide. Bc yeah I wasted a lot of my time.
