Before we all gorge ourselves on yet another bountiful feast, I have a few notices and reminders to give. First, welcome back to all of our returning students, and welcome to our new first timers!

Second, it pains me to announce that our dear Professor Trelawney has decided it was finally time for her to retire. Since that is the case, we have a new Divination professor starting with us this term! Unfortunately, he has not yet arrived, as he is currently visiting a shaman in America. He sends his deepest apologies that he is not present for the beginning of the feast, but perhaps he will arrive before the end!

In addition, replacing Professor Trelawney as Ravenclaw Head of House is our very own flying instructor, Mr. Carlisle Caswell! I believe he will make a fine Head of House, don't you?

As always, the Forbidden Forest is off limits to any student not accompanied by a member of staff. Dungeon 3 has finally been reopened to be use by students looking for a bit of extra potions practice. Please also note that the Hippogriff paddock has been temporarily closed, as our female Hippogriff is tending to a nest full of newly hatched fledglings. She's a bit testy at the moment!

Now that we have all of that out of the way, dig in!

I've been lucky, I had a great time over the holidays and haven't been sick yet this season. There's a stomach bug going around at work that definitely has me wary.
