New Year's is the most important holiday in Japan and our big family holiday of the year. I love HA contests and I thought I'd make one!

There are three categories: 1. Kimono Obviously we've gotta have a kimono category 😊 your kimono doesn't have to be traditional in the least... as long as I can tell it's a kimono. This is the most important and only non-optional category. Prizes 1st place: Two items worth 125CSC from the boutique, or 1 hair tonic. 2nd place: One item from the CS boutique, excepting wigs. 3rd place: You know what? You can have a CS item too 😊 Same prize as 2nd place.

2. New Beginnings The significance of New Years is washing away everything from last year, and starting the new one on the right foot, with lots of lucky foods. To represent settling last year's business so you can begin afresh, go through this December's Melody gifts and post your favorite wearable gift and why. Then make one HA wearing that item, as well as an item from the New Years shop, together. Prizes If anything on Subeta represents cleansing, it's my beloved Fragmentizer 1st place: 1000 crystals worth of shop items, or 800 crystals 2nd place: 800 crystals worth of shop items, or 600 crystals 3rd place: 600 crystals worth of shop items, or 400 crystals NOTE: I can't guarantee I'll be online when you ping me. Don't go asking me for a universal remote or something and then get angry if I miss the restock xD

3. Loud Holiday Knits Tis the season of cozy knitted goods. Make an HA wearing at least one item with a festive pattern. Bonus points for making multiple patterns work (only one needs to be "festive"). Prizes I love these retired off-shoulder sweaters from the cash shop: They come in 17 colors. I have every color except hot pink, and you can't have my (darker) purple :C I'll buy it for you unless it gets all inflated. 1st prize: first pick of color 2nd prize: second pick 3rd prize: third pick

Honorable mentions (all categories): items of your choice from Five Seven Five or Fine Fabrics or the new years shop

Rules

1. Submission format: put at the top of your post: [*b][*size=15pt]Entry for Category __[/*b][/*size] without the asterisks, and a number for which category. Next, put your HA in image format. For category 2, say which melody and new years items you chose, and why the melody one is your favorite. Then (for all categories), put a list of all items used inside [*spoiler] tags.
2. If you want to enter multiple categories in one post, put the second entry (header and all) right beneath the first. 2b. conversely, if you enter one category and want to enter another later on, make a new post instead of editing the old one, so I'll be sure to see your new entry.
3. You must enter the first category to compete; and can enter none, either, or both of the others. You may enter in any order--just make sure you get your kimono in before the contest ends or the others will be invalid.
4. One entry per category per person.
5. You don't need to actually own the items you use. You may use CWs. Limit 30 items total.
6. For category 2, it's ok to use multiple melody/new years items on the HA if you want to, but pick one melody item to write about.

Sorry about that. Thank you for letting me know. My saved outfit page was taking forever to load so I cleared out all the outfits I had saved where I didn't own all the items. I totally forgot that I had used the share outfit feature instead of just doing a screencap like I normally do. I think I remembered what I made and fixed my post.

If I have time to get around to making outfits for the other categories should I just edit my original post to add them or should I make a new post?

Entry for Category 2 Private Outfit I absolute love fantasy style HAs, so these Ferzull Cookies immediately caught my eye when they came out. They're so unique to any other ears we have onsite and are inspired by an all too adorable minion as well xD I also appreciate the fact that we have separate ones for the left and right ear to help layer with hair properly. (And the item images are so hilarious and cute)

The Ornamental Trinket Box is my favorite, it's really pretty and just the perfect silver crown that I'd been looking for and has a slight glow that makes it seem really shiny. Also I really like the item image :D

I picked the evergreen item from Melody because I love snow. I love even more to go out and play in it. So my Ha is at least out in the snow. I doubt she will be playing in it in that attire though lol I also used the Homemade Watercolor Luminaire Cards which means a lot to me because I always write cards at Christmas time.
