FINALLY DECIDED WHAT THE HECK TO DO.

We had nine prizes and ten participants, so I changed the reward system. I'm sorry there wasn't better turn-out, but the good news is everyone gets something! 😊

I'm sorry the contest has been a mess :/ I've had bad life troubles, but ought to have made it a higher priority or else not done it at all. I was sad I didn't get many entries. What could I have done to increase participation? I think I accidentally discouraged people from chatting and that was a mistake.

However--you guys have been great, and I appreciated the quality and variety of the entries I did get, and the time, effort, and creativity you put into them. On that note, I AM really happy I'll be able to reward each of you :) picking "winners" was extremely difficult. (ridiculous as this is, it was the source of latest delay... I just couldn't do it, AND I was biasing the categories/winners trying to make sure everyone got something... which seemed unfair and on and on... the "optional categories", my own idea, wound up the most hard to deal with because there were so few entries...) By the way, if you had your eye on a particular prize in the cash shop or crystal shop, and missed it because of my lateness, please let me know. I would like to get it for you anyway, although it will depend on the cost. I hope the contest was more fun than waiting on the judging was nerve-wracking.

Now the fun part!! :D

First place overall, with a prize of 500 CSC or equivalent items, goes to Ghirahim. I adored every one of your entries, especially the kimono.

Second place overall, with a prize of 250 CSC or equivalent items, goes to Kura. I liked how you gave me three (four!) different types of fantasy, and you did a great job in category 2 with a difficult item.

Third place overall, with a prize of 250 CSC or equivalent items, goes to Marionette. Had I awarded prizes as I was planning to, you would have won category 3 for sure. It has so much going on while still looking coherent and complete, and it's chilly in at least 3 different ways :D

Participation prizes: Please know it was really close and hard to pick winners. I loved how arixen's whole cat 2 outfit matched her owl, and LadyFangirl's hello kittyish kimono... if I could have handed our prizes by category as originally intended, the winners may well have been different. All remaining entrants will get a participation prize as a thank you for your art and thoughts xoxo

edit: remaining entrants will get to pick from a set of participation prizes that I'm coming up with right now. The prizes I listed here earlier today are a bit too uneven.

Thank you Marionette 😊 I'm confused too. The first week I was literally double-checking that I used the right ping group and stuff like that... I considered maybe it was too involved, but most of it was optional AND there was a successful contest in the same time frame with a WAY longer description.

I mean I'm always like, "there aren't enough HA contests!" lol. I feel like I've never seen one that wasn't crazy bustling. but here we are on page 2 two months in. (I suppose contests that weren't popular I wouldn't have seen, right? but I am in the ping group and I always check them out.) I feel like the lone kid in the cafeteria, like I've got lice or something xD

I'd appreciate any insight or constructive criticism anybody has because I'd decided I should try to make contests once in a while, and then I messed up this first one all over the place. I don't want to put a bunch of work into one again without even understanding how to make it turn out better.

You know, maybe it's because you asked for item lists? I've noticed that contests that ask for item lists tend to get a little bit less participation. I don't know. Just a thought.

I'll take a 500 Point Wizard Token, thank you! Personally, I agree with that I'm less inclined to join HA contests that ask for an item list. A good way to get around that is to ask your participants to use the Shared Wardrobe feature, then the outfits can just be loaded. c:

I really enjoyed this contest and don't know why you didn't get better participation. And I am thrilled that you liked one of my HA's enough to mention it (I have only recently learned to put together any sort of HA at all, I used to think of myself as HA challenged. It's nothing life-threatening. I'm actually just really happy I'm getting treatment at this point. I've been having health insurance woes and, even though I've heard everything's looking good to go now, I'm not going to feel totally safe until I'm through the door.
