Hello there, Subeta!
I'm curious to know what Hogwarts houses you place yourselves in! I also want to know whether you've also ever felt indecisive regarding your Hogwarts house...
I have been on the fence between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw my whole life (or, you know, since I read the books). I'd say that my most dominant traits are the fact that I am kind and patient but I'm also very bookish and have always been seen as pretty academic by my friends and family. My interests are all fairly cultural. Despite that, the "unafraid of toil" thing that comes with Hufflepuff doesn't really work for me. I am such a procrastinator and cannot apply myself to anything unless I feel incredibly passionate about it. That kind of hard-working and driven nature sadly isn't me. Pottermore sorted me in to Ravenclaw but, for some reason, I just can't accept it. Boo!
I like Slytherin and Ravenclaw and always got sorted into one of them but now it said Gryffindor. Psycho theme here
Growing up, I always self-identified as a Ravenclaw due to my wit, cleverness, and undying quest for intelligence. Mind you, I felt this way for about ten years before Pottermore came around. When I finally got sorted into Slytherin, my mind reeled in confusion...and I made two more accounts just to be sure.
Three time's a charm, they say, so I resigned myself to my sorting, and have since embraced it! Slytherins are goal-oriented, ambitious, and natural leaders. I'm okay with that, definitely! Now the real struggle is fighting back against the 'supervillain' stigma. (:

Go go Slytherin pride! It annoys me to see Slytherin automatically associated with villainy. It sheds a bad light on being ambitious.
Me too!
I swear, nearly everytime I brought my love for Slytherin up while talking about HP with someone I got these strange looks, like I am some sort of psycho. It's annoying, as if being ambitious and self-preservative was something horrible. X'D
I used to feel very strongly about being in Gryffindor (and just being Hermione Graner), but over time I've realised I'm a Hufflepuff, and proud of it!!! It's sad so many people think it's the loser house, it's not. :C It's the house for people who are brave and smart and resourceful AND ALSO SUPER NEAT. :D
I was a Ravenclaw long before Pottermore sorted me, but it just confirmed what I already knew haha. One less thing to be indecisive about I suppose!
I'm a Ravenclaw, but it took me a really long time to accept that because I didn't think I was intelligent enough. I'm one of those people who would be sorted as a kid and everyone would be like "Why is she in Ravenclaw?!" until years later I would start to blooooooom like a beautiful raven flower wait what. ANYWAY. :D I finally embraced my house when I realized I love learning (not just bookish things but like... everything) and I'm a creative person.
As a kid I liked to think of myself as a Gryffindor but lmao I was more of a Slytherin tbh. I wish there was more Hufflepuff in me.
I've been a Ravenclaw from day 1. When Pottermore came to be, I did the sorting quiz and got Ravenclaw, and I was overjoyed. My original account got lost in the fray after I'd forgotten what email and password I had used for it, so I started a new one and got Ravenclaw again. I took the quiz a third time after the "new" Pottermore came around on a third account and got Hufflepuff. I was not overly happy as I take great pride in being a Ravenclaw, but I realize I have a lot of Hufflepuff traits, too. It makes me wish hybrid houses existed.
As for your sorting, remember, it's not the qualities that you possess that get you placed anywhere, it's the qualities you value the most. Do you value your Ravenclaw or your Hufflepuff qualities more? What do you value more in other people? :)
What I'm really, REALLY unhappy about is my Ilvermorny sorting. I got Thunderbird, which does describe me to an extent, but I feel much, MUCH more like a Pukwudgie.
I completely agree with you on the need for hybrid houses.
Shortly after posting this thread, I found the Pottermore questionnaire on another site which gives you percentages for each Hogwarts house, based on how much each of your answers supported each house. I came out at 76% Hufflepuff, 62% Ravenclaw, 58% Gryffindor, 42% Slytherin.
I do think that, when you bring it back to values...yeah, I'm a Hufflepuff.
I feel exactly the same as you regarding Ilvermorny! Also got Thunderbird but am far more Pukwidgie. (Again, a percentages questionnaire later helped me strengthen that.)
Those questionnaires are worth looking in to! The full Patronus quiz is worth doing, too.
I did the patronus quiz and got a rat! It took me a bit of time to warm up to the idea, but the symbolism the rat has really works for me, so I'm happy.
Thanks for the heads up on those quizzes, I'll make sure to look into those!
I've been a proud Hufflepuff since... well, Luna Lovegood
Leave it to me: I'm always top banana in the shock department.
I always thought I was a Ravenclaw while reading the books. but I always got sorted into Gryffindor or Hufflepuff can't decide which I really am because it was only after my mom died that I retook the Pottermore quiz and got Hufflepuff.
so I'm still very conflicted.I'd always thought of myself as a Ravenclaw, but was sorted in pottermore as a Hufflepuff. Some of it really resonated with me except for my tendency to cut as many corners as possible while still getting a job done well. My absolute love of learning constantly makes me think I really probably am Ravenclaw. I'm constantly second guessing myself, though ^^;
I always get put in Gryffindor with the quizzes but I know in my heart I am a Hufflepuff.
I've been a Slytherin for as long as I've been a fan. I knew from the first book that I'd be a Slytherin, and I've been sorted as such ever since on every quiz and site. haha
When I got picked for the wand ceremony at Ollivander's in the Wizarding World of HP, I ended up getting chosen by a wand with a skull at the end of the handle, and I was like, "This is the most Slytherin thing that has ever happened in my life." lmao
i always wanted to be in slytherin or ravenclaw
when i first joined pottermore (like in 2011??? they had that whole golden feather fiasco for closed beta or something) i was sorted as a ravenclaw, but i did the test last month and got sorted into gryffindor for some reason???? like we are talking about major anxiety and just blatant cowering for fear 24/7 my boyfriend re-did the test as well and went from slytherin to hufflepuff, so now we are just trying to kinda find ourselves in life
I identify myself with either Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw and yet pottermore quiz sent me to Slytherin :)))))))) Oh no, honey, nope
The quizzes I take generally put me pretty evenly between Ravenclaw and Slytherin, but I think I personally lean towards Ravenclaw except on mischievous days. xP So.. I have no idea which I'd truly be. x_x
