I just noticed today that Alexander is not giving out any items for Library Quests. I didn't see anything in the news, maybe I missed it. That's too bad, as that was the main reason I did his quests because he gave better items than the others.

Not just library but others as well. I've not been able to restock main shops to stock up my shop in ages so the only way I sell anything is quest rewards. I would like to hope the sP rewards will make up for the loss but I'll have to wait and see on that.

So the Wiz, Quentin, and Carl are the only ones currently giving out items.

I haven't been questing much lately due to personal/family issues and just not having enough time to play on Subeta. Questing was 90% of what I would do when I had time . I'd much rather have to turn in more items and only get one in return as long as I still have the chance of getting quest-giver exclusive items and some rare items that I can sell off or add to my collections.

Yes, you can vend to get items, but quest items are much more likely to be sold and continue the circulation of different items in the economy, or at least that's my understanding of it. There is undoubtedly an excess of items on the site, but I don't think this is the right fix. Maybe the better tweak would be to fix what the quest givers ask for. I'm looking forward to the tweaks so I'll refrain from complaining too much, but this does put a damper on any questing plans until then.

Hopefully in the future we can get a warning before quests are nerfed.

Thanks, I didn't see that. Agree!

I actually hadn't noticed yet that the others aren't giving items either. :( That was my main reason for doing Library quests, was the rare items.

I know they've said they're still watching and working on it, but I'm not really a fan of this change either. Especially if the sP payout ends up being lower as well. Lots of people use questing as their primary way of making sP and getting items on the site, taking that away would probably make quite a few people feel like there's no point in sticking around.

I'll be patient and wait to see the final result of these changes, but it just feels discouraging sometimes when items get really expensive and earning sP is harder.

I went and did a quest or two for each quest giver. It's possible that you might get one item out of fifteen quests, but it seems like there are just no items for the majority of quest givers right now.

Agreed. When I'm looking to make sP, questing is all I do. Any restocking I do on the site is only because I notice that an item has a nice profit margin. Other than that, I don't go out of my way to RS.

Funny enough, I had just put myself on a sp sprint waitlist, and the only way I ever would reach the goal is by questing. Hopefully they figure this all out soon. I miss doing my daily quests, but it's not worth it if it looks like I'm going to lose sp at the end of the day and not even be able to add to collections/my wardrobe.

Yeah, most of my quest items would end up being fragged or recycled or something. But occasionally I would get some new wearables or foods and stuff that I didn't have yet, so that would be nice.

Although I mostly quested for the sP, like the majority probably does. I'm okay with not having huge profit margins for every quest, but when some of them ask for items that are consistently priced around 20-30k and then give you 500 sP as a reward with no items it's definitely frustrating.

My primary goal from questing is sp gain. I keep a gold account active in large part for the 5 extra quests/quest giver each day (even if I don't take full advantage of that). Before quests got nerfed, I could count on making about 3 mil sp pure plus whatever I sold off each day if I was able to do all my quests, including the ones that aren't as profitable in pure sp (e.g. Quentin, Cinthia). In my opinion, that felt like fair compensation for the amount of time it took to get through all my quests. I know that sp is inflated on the site (causing CSC to be ridiculously expensive based on exchange rate), but I don't want that falling directly onto the userbase who takes the time to do their quests and play on the site. But, as they say, you can't have your cake and eat it too, so I'm just going to hope for the best with the upcoming re-adjustments.

Bad change. Bad bad bad. I seriously don't understand why they did this? What, were there too many items on this site? Quest rewards were sometimes the only way I'd get a decent item, because I can't seem to catch restocks. I went ahead and gave quests a try today, and now some of the quests aren't even worth doing. Looking at Maleria, who can ask you for three 20-30K items. I can see taking out some rewards, or making more of them SP based like saggy, but why did they remove all of them? I honestly don't know if I'm going to do quests now. I've got the achievements, and if all we're going to get is a meager sp reward, I'd rather not waste my time.

I must admit I'm not terribly upset - perhaps mainly because real life is keeping me so busy that I just stuff items into my shop without pricing, so it's not like I notice the lack of income. And they did say they'd be experimenting for a while, not removing the item rewards entirely. So far, Subeta staff has always managed to come up with a solution that was fine as far as I was concerned so I'm willing to sit back and wait until they've worked out whatever they're working on.

The only thing that I think could have been handled better is making the change known - not in a forum post because a user freaked when there were no item rewards but around the time the change became effective. I'm not saying they should do that with all quest tweaks - but removing item rewards is no longer a "tweak" but a pretty major change, temporary as it might be. I'm not even saying they have to justify the changes. But I would really have appreciated a short announcement along the lines of "Hey guys, we've temporarily removed item rewards. Don't panic, we're not planning to remove them permanently for now, we're just testing a few things."

I don't really like this change at all so I really hope it's just temporary but I sort of wish we were told about it before hand? I don't personally rely on quests as my main source of sP since I'm more of a restocker but I would be bummed right out if I was one of the many users on here who do rely on them. I almost made a post about it thinking it was a glitch...and then just ended up being super disappointed that it wasn't. >n<

If they're hoping to get people spend more time on this site, this is not the way to do it. If quests aren't profitable enough (and I'm not expecting crazy profits, but something at least), I'm most definitely not going to waste my time doing them. And if I don't do quests, I don't know how I'm going to make any sP. Looks like I'll stick to clicking the bathhouse link every day and that's about it :(

Oh well, at least now I can catch up on all the TV I've been missing lately.

...but before I'll give up on anything, I'll see how this fiddling evens out. The library quest "profits" seem to be really poor now, though. Did 5 quests, lost sp on 4.

Ah, so that's why. I can see how it's annoying if you want to stock your shop or try for collections, but to me it actually was a pleasant surprise to find less items after all the quests yesterday. Less shuffling around stuff I don't need, also more sp given out. I'll have to see if it matches what I made from selling though.

Edit: Yeah, so, yesterday I got a significantly higher SP-payout, while today it's lower than my usual average per quest giver AND no items... I liked yesterday better. I'll see how this develops. I don't mind less items, but I hope in the end questing will still be worthwhile.

Looking for some previous years Melody items. Especially books and minions. Happy to trade!

Geez, I'm gone for one day and all I've seen is crappy update after crappy update. Geez, why nerf nearly all the quests so much and hope that no one notices? I'm frustrated with this site as a whole again.

I'm upset about the change mainly because of the library quests. I got nice items from that quest...

Though I'm glad that I don't have to place as many items in my vault now.
