[img align=left]https://i.imgur.com/WAfICIC.png[/img] Excited and not being able to wait for everyone to be inside Gaia began “Welcome everyone to Greenhouse One and home for our Herbology Club! This term we will be doing things a little different. First I would like to say thank you to the house elves who helped move our indoor gardens to this greenhouse and care for our work while we were on holiday! Secondly moving to this greenhouse was a way of having more room to work, grow, and learn new skills without bumping into each other."

Gaia moved to the left of the Greenhouse entrance “As you can see all of our edibles, herbs, and some potion ingredients have maintained well from last term and professor Morgan with the help of Miss Kain moved our compost bin right outside this Greenhouse. Our first session will help us come together and discuss some ideas as to where you would like to work with. Just remember dangerous plants will not be part of this club this term for our safety as well as the plants and other magical life around." Smiling Gaia pointed her wand towards the blackboard by the demo area and writing appeared revealing… a menu?

“We have plenty of food and drink for everyone! Once you fill out the sign-up parchment feel free to choose what you would like to eat and grab one of the welcome packs at the end of the table! Thank you all for being here. I am sure this term will be one to remember!” With a quick wave of her wand music started playing somewhere in the greenhouse, streamers and balloons hanged strategically in the air to not disturbed the hanging planters, and chairs scattered around.

“Please add your name to the sign-up parchment and you may include plants you are interested in, techniques, or any other skill that you would like to work on to help you with Herbology this term. Before I let you all go enjoy the celebration be advice there is a blooming book in your welcome package… it is a special book and opening it might require some creativity...”

I will send you whatever option you choose for your pet to eat and for you to RP with if you want. CAPTAIN POST

((PLEASE READ Post like this one will be the way in which sessions will be divided. I will be including spoiler tags with important details on the previous session, RP points to catch up on, and next session information to better help keep track of the club. I figured this system will help when we get busy and are many thread pages into the club. Hopefully this will help us all! If you think of any other information you would like on these updating posts let me know and I will be sure to add them! Thank you so much and I hope you enjoy the club this term!))

Magnus came bounding in the greenhouse practically bouncing with excitement. He really did love herbology. Scribbling his name down and his new house of Ravenclaw and "anything" on the paper he crossed over to the worktop in the middle and plopped his stuff down. "So glad you got this club again," he said to Gaia.

Aderyn watched Magnus run into the greenhouse as she rounded the corner outside the castle and she jogged to catch up, hoping she was on time for the first meeting of what was quite possibly her favorite club. She reached the greenhouse moments later and stepped in, glancing around and seeing only Magnus and Gaia so far. Waving with a big smile, she stepped up to the parchment at the front of the greenhouse.

"Hey guys! Looks like it's just us Ravenclaws for now!"

She picked up the quill before her and scribbled her information down on the sign up sheet.

Aderyn Jones - Ravenclaw - I'd like to learn to milk a venomous tentacula!

Once she was done, she picked up a welcome package, taking her seat as she considered what sort of a snack she'd like, looking at the menu board. As Gaia mentioned a blooming book, she opened the welcome package and found a small but heavy tome inside, its pages as delicate as flower petals. As she handled it, she noticed her hands became covered in a shimmery, pale yellow powder. Considering it, she glanced up.

"Is this pollen?!"

[img align=left]https://i.imgur.com/rphdSYC.png[/img] Gaia winked at Magnus with a big smile on her face, as she was about to say hi Aderyn walked in, "Hello you two! I am glad you made it! Here are your welcome packets." Handing both members their welcome pack she added "We have plenty of food if you are hungry! I figured it would be fun to have a celebration before we get busy this term!" Gaia walked to the refreshment table and grabbed some juices for the three of them.

"Why yes, it is pollen! I am sure you will find a way to make it bloom and show you the secrets inside!" finding a chair close to her friends Gaia began nibbling on some french fries and reading over the sign- up parchment.

Goodness! No one had warned her how hard school was! It was pure luck that she'd remembered to pull her head out of her books and join the Herbology Club festivities. Well, luck and Wade wrapping himself around her fingers until she dropped her quill and refusing to uncoil. Either way, here she was! And the minute the scrumptious smell of the buffet hit her nose she also remembered that couldn't remember the last time she'd eaten.

Ethel snagged a burrito and then gave the assembled trio a friendly wave. "Hello, fellow Ravenclaws!" she called as she moseyed over to the sign up sheet. There was a tense moment as she juggled her plate and the quill by the sheet but order prevailed and she was able to quickly jot down her name

Now there was nothing left to do but stuff her face and chat with her housemates! "What's this about a book?" she asked around a mouthful of beans and cheese.

Aderyn took the juice Gaia held out to her and sipped it, glancing back down at the book in her lap. With her free hand, she gently stroked the cover, taking in its leafy, fibrous texture, and pondered how to get it to open. She had a few ideas that she'd just have to try out some time.

Looking up as someone else walked into the greenhouse, she was met with the sight of another fellow Ravenclaw and she waved to Ethel.

"Hello!"

Giggling, she looked at Gaia and Magnus.

"If any more Ravenclaws show up, we'll just have to move the tower down here for the term, since this is where we'll all be anyway!"

"It would seem that way! All though I am sure many of us will take some plants back to the tower. I brought some succulents for us to replant if you gals would like to have some in our room!" Gaia pointed at her work table where a box with small plants were.

"The books are special. They have to bloom in order to reveal its pages. It is up to you all to figure out what works!" Gaia giggled a little while watching her friends. ( )

Ethel chewed ponderously on her burrito while she watched Garnet pet her book. It looked like a fascinating puzzle: and nothing Ethel liked more than a good puzzle! At Garnet's comment about the makeup of their little club she snorted and laughed.

"It'd make lessons during the winter more bearable, that's for sure!"

Then she fell quiet and listened intently to Gaia's hint about the book. "Oooh, gotta figure out a good light and heating spell!"

"I don't mind if its all ladies and me," Magnus said with a seductive purr followed by a chuckle. "Just no fightin' over me. There's plenty to go around." He thanked Gaia for the drink and set it beside him so he could start organizing his section. He was a fiercely organized person really. Dixie, his pet snake, slithered out of his bag and started sniffing round to see what Magnus was up too. She didn't seem overly impressed though as she slithered up his arm and draped herself around his neck hissing things he didn't understand.

"I've got several plants in me dorm," he said brightly, "I've got dittany--for obvious reasons-- also got Asphodel, which I fink is pretty even if it is used in the Draught of Living Death..." he gave a shudder as some of his friends knew he had been given the potion before and it scared him to be so dependants on others to wake him. "Dad said no to 'aving a Snargaluff but 'e did buy me a Chinese Chomping Cabbage for me birfday."

He puzzled over the book wondering how to make it bloom. Hmm... Waving his wand, he said"Lumos Solem," seeing if the sunshine spell would work.

Gaia watched the new snake carefully "Dixie, you shall be nice to everyone around if you want to be here. ALL living creatures are meant to stay living in here my friend." She winked at the snake and grabbed her book from her table. "As you can see the book has a peculiar scent. Mine smells like parchment and vanilla. It is quite possible yours will have a different scent and most likely appeal to you the most. Keep in mind plants need more than just sunshine, but you all seem to be going in the right direction!" Gaia clapped her hands in excitement as Ethel's book perked up at the spell and Aderyn's book seemed to release some pollen that seems to be carried by wind.

"There will be no fighting for you, Magnus." Gaia rolled her eyes turned a page in her book. "you know our Mandrakes are grown up now. They are in Greenhouse two as a way to show new students. We do have a box of Mandrake roots in our storage cabinets under the table. Anyone is welcome to our ingredients in there if they need for their other classes." Gaia found something interesting on her book and made a note on her parchment while humming in beat with the music. ( )

Even if Magnus had no idea what she was saying, the look Dixie gave Gaia had "hmph" look to him. "Fink you offended 'er there, Gaia. I wouldn't take 'er about if she might eat someone's pet. Vega will bring catches for 'er sometimes. Really good at sharing. You trained 'er well for that. Mum's monopolizing 'er right now though. Got a lot of quidditch supplies to make and she's borrowing 'er for the extra owl 'elp."

Non verbally, Magnus waved his wand for some water to put on the book after his light spell seemed to help a bit. He did scoff at Gaia though, "I know everyone loves me Magnustism." Yes, she had told him not to use that bad pun again but it was too good to waste. Twinkling in his eyes with deep amusement.

Just2b entered slowly, nervous at meeting new people, though the idea of learn more about herbology trumped her fear.
Smiling shyly at the headgirl, she headed to the parchment and wrote: "[font=Lucida Calligraphy][size=15pts]Amanda - Ravenclaw - anything and everything[/font][/size]"
She looks at the names on the sign up. "Only Ravenclaws so far? Cool. I'm a first year." ()

As the others around her tried sun spells for their books, Aderyn set hers down to try something else. She stood up and walked over to the supplies storage, pulling out an empty spray bottle. Holding it up in one hand, she pointed her wand at it with the other.

"[I]Aguamenti[/I]!"

The bottle quickly filled with water and Aderyn returned to her book. She gave it a few light spritzes of the water and set it on the nearby table, letting some light get to it. As Gaia mentioned the unique smells the books gave off, not unlike Amortentia, she leaned forward and sniffed, immediately smelling some of her favorite things in the world; her dad's home made shepherd's pie, coffee, and the earthy smell that brought her back to her grandmother's garden.

Glancing over at Magnus, she grinned.

"I've got a small potted dirigible plum in our room," she commented. "They're just fantastic little things!"

Looking over as Ethel spoke, Aderyn nodded in agreement.

"The winters here are far too cold, and the castle smells musty when there's no air going through it with all the windows closed. The greenhouse would be a welcome change!"

At that moment, someone new entered the greenhouse and Aderyn smiled as the girl put her name on the sign up sheet. She nodded.

"At this point, if anyone from another house comes in, they might just be scared off by the abundance of Ravenclaws! I'm Aderyn, by the way!" She said cheerfully.

Millie walked into the green house. She decided to join the Herbology club at the end of the last term, so she decided to hold off until the first meeting of the 4th term. She found the sign up sheet and wrote "Amelia Tudor, Hufflepuff". She thought for a minute about what she wanted to learn about. She wrote down, "healing plants. Anything exotic I may encounter as a Curse Breaker".

She put the quill down and saw a bunch of her friends, Magnus () and Aderyn () as well as the captain, Gaia (). She waved hello and to the new faces she had seen around school, Amanda () and Ethel (). "Sorry to break up the Ravenclaw party" she said.

Aside from the smell of plants and dirt, she smelled one other thing. Her weakness: Bacon. She spotted the snacks table and took several pieces of bacon and poured herself some lemonade. She started munching on the bacon and waited for more people to show up

Aderyn was happy to see Millie walk into the greenhouse and she waved to the other girl.

"Hey, no worries, a little Hufflepuff never hurts!" She said with a laugh.

As Millie picked up some bacon, Aderyn decided that she might as well grab something to eat. Heading to the snacks table, she grabbed a plate and some tempura veggies and eggrolls. It was a nice change from what was usually served in the great hall at meal times and she happily took the snacks back to her chair.

"'Ullo," he said to the first year, "Me name's Magnus." Then he got distracted as Aderyn mentioned her plant. "Ooo, dirigible plums are me favourite. Maybe you can show me the plant? I can't go in the girls rooms if they are anything like Gryffindor's dorms." Waving at Millie he chuckleld, "I can make you a paper badge with the Ravenclaw crest and change your robe colours blue for the day if you want."

Aderyn laughed and nodded to Magnus.

"I'll bring the pot down to the common room one day - it's just a little plant, just enough to bring some of the outdoors in!"

She munched on the eggrolls on her plate, occasionally making "mmm" type sounds, enjoying the snack thoroughly as she thought about what sorts of cool plants they might look at during the term.

Emmy hurried down to the greenhouse with Banshee at her heels and Elfie swaying on her shoulder, as usual. She was running a bit late, but only because she'd been up very late the night before, finishing her first transfiguration essay so that she wouldn't have to do any homework today.

She peeked into the greenhouse at the door and looked around. So many Ravenclaws!

"Oi is this a club for just the Ravenclaws, then?" she called teasingly from the door, pulling it open proper and stepping inside.

"Millie(), Magnus(), Aderyn(), Ethel(), Emmy() and ." Amanda said, trying to put the names to the friendly faces before her. "I apologize ahead of time if I forget your name. I'm uber eager to learn anything and everything that sometimes the little details get left by the wayside." She turned to Millie, "Hufflepuffs are all good in my book. Is it true your common room is next to the kitchens? Betcha you can get snacks for late night studying... Lucky."

She looked at the book given to her and bent down to whisper "What a pretty flower you are? Can I see your book please?" Encouraging words never hurt anything, she figured. The flower gave off her favorite smells: old books and wood smoke. But didn't open.
