In 2012, my dear friend Erika, also known as passed away. We were very close and she was who I went to talk to whenever I had any trouble in my RL, who I could chat with for hours, who I would also listen to intently when she needed an ear. I cared for her dearly. I had been offline to have my 3rd child and came back to find she had passed away just 5 days prior. Ever since I have watched her account intently waiting for the day a very important pet to us both would come available to be recrated in her honor. That pet is Princess. I gave her Princess (whom was originally a memorial pet) because she had a wonderful idea for her, even though the name meant so much to me as well. I have contacted staff and it is against the rules for them to send one pet to another account, so with that said, if there is anyone out there, anyone at all that would be willing to help me in grabbing the name I would be forever grateful. I WILL be trying myself to get the name, but my connection is rather slow. I plan to use the same pet profile and have Princess be the same character Erika worked so hard on FOREVER! So please if anyone put there could help me in grabbing this name please please contact me. It is becoming available on 8/6.
Please tag your friends if you think anyone would be willing to help. These pets she worked on so hard all deserve to be remembered how she imagined them. And I want to do just that with princess.

Ericka was a very good friend of mine too and honestly I find this thread in very bad taste. Not to mention it's kind of a huge dick move to publicly post about pet names that are clearing soon. 😕
although it's a sweet gesture, i think it might be against the rules to use the same art/profile/etc. that someone else commissioned without permission?? even if you were friends. : /
That's a really nice thing you're trying to do to memorialize your friend. I'll totally help out with trying to get the name, and I'll convince my husband to try for it too. :)

I don't really care what you think. She meant alot to me and I know I meant alot to her. As far telling about a name being cleared, it's free information for all those on Subeta anyone could have found the name was available on there own. This is what I want to do, if you don't like it I'm very sorry. I feel that it would do the pet I GAVE HER justice to be back with me and forever able to keep her character and memory alive.
I was told by administration I could use the story just as it is on her current petpage by looking up the pet description code, I have already asked. If there is an artist on there against this I will leave it out but I will still plan on using the layout and story she wrote.
I will be trying to catch the name Princess, it will be available to be created on August 6th. I have a very slow connection to the Internet and have always failed in the past. All I ask if to get as many helpers as possible to try to get her name. Then with luck one of us will grab her whether it's myself or a friend, then she can be sent to my account and I can keep her forever :)
I want to thank everyone with all my heart who is willing to help and behind me on this. She is gone but never forgotten.

I'm in no way saying what you're doing is bad or wrong. I do think it's sweet you want to preserve this small part of your friend, I just felt like a big public thing on the forums was a bit...tacky? But that's my opinion. And yeah, names that are clearing soon are free information, but it's generally regarded as something you don't post outright about out of consideration c: Many, many people stalk names/accounts and the more people know about said names/account, the more 'competition' there will be.
I'm sorry for being snappy, it's just that I've watched her account be protected for so long and now the names are being put up for grabs and I'm so afraid of losing this small piece of her that I was clinging too. I've read the story so many times I know it by heart.... I just want to hold onto this forever.

I do too. I really really miss her. She was there for me when I lost my father, and I was there for her when she lost hers. Anytime I needed someone to listen I knew she would be there and give me the best advice. We talked about everything from RL and the Subeta world. :( then I come online to tell her about the baby being born... and she was gone.
