I totally had this coming, as I was always paranoid it would happen. Yup, it happened.

My zapper pet is Lumisu, but the pet I had in my first slot was Levini, my starter pet that was morphed into a Nostalgic Devonti. Well, I tried zapping Lumisu today, but there was an error message. So, I hit "back" on my browser button and tried zapping again.

I zapped before looking at who was in the zapping queue. My Nostalgic Devonti.

It became an Experiment , when the zapper could have malfunctioned or raised or lowered stats just to spare me. So I ran around with the quests today and rebought all the things necessary for a Nostalgic.

It was tragic.

So be careful, zappers! Make sure you're zapping the right pet, and the best way to do that is to move your zapper pet to the first slot of your order.

I could have sworn the zapper put your active pet at the top of the list. Maybe it was the old, destroyed zapper which did that? It'd be a lot easier that way. I spent some time zapping pets to rehome, and it was a pain having to reorder each time I picked up a new pet. The number of times I almost zapped the wrong pet... Eep! >.<

Oh no that's awful. The zapper even taunted you with one of the more disturbing looking ones.

I know that feeling though, but it was when I forgot to click on the box to pay for an experiment and ended up destroying a minion and having to replace it. :c That thing is dangerous.

I think the Essence of Melody could be a little less costly. xD Other than that, it was okay because the daily quests give out so much SP. Thanks!

That must have been the old zapper! :o To be honest, I would definitely prefer it that way. Neither Lumisu nor Levini were my actives at the time! It would have been helpful if I kept Lumisu my active and it zapped that. It would be even better, in my opinion, if you only had the option to zap your active. It could save many pets' lives, haha.

To be honest, guys, I might have to make this a suggestion for the zapper: either place the active pet first on the list or to only risk zapping your active at any time.

This has happened to me. Lost my harvest kumos. Still haven't had the heart to change get back.

I keep my first pet as my zapper pet and have gotten into the habit of double-checking which one is on the drop-down. Also, if you get that error message again, try refreshing instead of going back. That usually works for me.

I'm so sorry for your loss! :( Why haven't you had the heart to change them back? Did you like the new zap or you just haven't racked up the funds again?

Definitely... I changed my zapper pet to the first in my party so I don't have to double-check and run the risk of zapping the wrong pet. And thanks so much for the tip! I certainly wish that I had refreshed instead of going back. Will definitely do that next time as an extra precaution.

Ooh yeah that's the pricey part, isn't it? I've been hoarding all the ones I got from the Lumi achievement in case I ever needed them. Zapping accidents sounds like another good reason to hang on! xD

Yeah, I seem to remember my active pet being shown in the list above the others, with a gap separating it from the rest of my pets. I'd love to see that back.

Ohhh that sucks too. I did something similar a while back. Forgot that attached minions could be hit, and lost a rather pricey one that way. ;o; There weren't many left in user shops when I first bought it, so I was lucky to be able to replace it! O__O

I once zapped my angelic popoko, Majesty, and she turned into an experiment too if I remember right..

She is now clearly angelic again and I was out 10m for a potion. That was truly awful. :(

I can't remember what they were zapped to. I actually changed them into a glade, because I had the potion. And now I love them again! Hahah I'm trying to decide if I want to save up for a harvest potion, but I love clothing too much so... probs not. Hahah

That is 100% why Opugno is my first listed pet even though I prefer it be Gorzon, my galactic Mahar. Until I get the experiment I want with Opugno, he stays in that first slot, because I don't want this to happen.

This happened to me once, cost me 10mil for another storm potion and then a few days later the Tempest gave me a storm potion. xD

This is how I lost my Angelic Paralix so I can relate. %'D

I lost my Storm Archan that way. :( It worked out though because I REALLY wanted him to be a Mahar, so it gave me an excuse to match his name to the species I actually wanted. xD

Omg! That's terrible! I have never accidentally zapped a pet because tbh, I just buy all the things I want. The Nostalgic Devonti is so cute too.

The same thing just happened to me. I mis-zapped my Zentu into an experiment. I was extremely worried at first, but quickly realized that Zentu elixirs are cheap. She was a Day Zentu, but I decided to go ahead and spend a little bit of money and turn her into a Cream Zentu. ^_^ Happy ending!

Just accidentally zapped my Spectrum Mortiking, and luckily it hit her Minion, but I came veeeery close to losing her. I can understand how you feel, though... :c

This is terrible, and I'm so sorry to hear about the zapper accidents - it's a terrible feeling to lose the pet & colour you've worked so hard for :(

One good tip which I find works well is to change the order of your pets so that your zapper pet is first and your most precious pets are not in the first slot - that way you don't need to click on the drop down before zapping - this helps avoid accidental zappings and also speeds up the zapping process. As an extra precaution I'll also make my zapper pet active just in case.

The downside is that on your profile page your favourite pet(s) won't be showing up as first but that's a small price to pay to ensure your most precious pets are safe.
