It seems like a lot of people seriously dislike both. There are endless wrong things about Donald Trump, but Hillary Clinton doesn't have as much wrongdoing. For anyone that dislikes both, I would suggest Jill Stein instead.
I expected her to be the democratic nominee just because the other major candidate Sanders was too liberal for a lot of people.
In any case, I'll be voting for her during the election simply because it's between her and Trump and I vastly prefer her to Trump, and I'm not affiliated with the Green party.
I have no issue with Jill Stein, but just from past results it's very unlikely a Green party candidate will win.
Lol, I would disagree that Hillary hasn't done as much wrongdoing as Trump given her past political record. Unless you mean in this election in which that case I'd agree. But, I do have to admit I trust her waaaaay more with nuclear launch codes than I ever would Trump. Not only does he not have the temperament to be president, but I think he's also proved long by now that he's a misogynistic, racist, idiot with no fucking clue as to how politics work. His speeches literally sound like the mad ramblings of a violent, narcissistic, megalomaniac. Saying something will be, "fantastic," or, "tremendous," or, "impeccable," or whatever 20 dollar word he learned that day doesn't change the fact that his ideas are horribly stupid. How people can support him seriously honestly dumbfounds me. But, people are entitled to their own opinions, I guess...
But don't get me wrong, I don't think Hillary is any friend to minorities either. With the 1994 Crime Bill, working under Goldwater who voted against The Civil Rights Act, that whole super predators comment, not supporting gay marriage and instead opted for civil unions(which btw, is not good enough imo). Everyone is free to change their political opinion. I'm sure most of us don't have the same ideologies as we did as teens, but these things are long established with her. Throughout her political career she has continued to screw over minorities. Not to mention, her policies on the environment and foreign affairs scare me.
So, for these reasons I will be supporting Jill Stein since it doesn't look like Bernie is getting the nomination. I know third parties never win elections, but in 2012 I chose "the lesser of two evils" when I voted for Obama. I don't want to ever do that again. I cannot in good conscious vote in another politician that supports a system that, to me, is completely corrupt.
I don't really follow American politics that much but here is my rambling two cents. I have no sources- this is based mostly on (possibly flawed) instinct and bits and pieces of info i've picked up over the years.
Hillary Clinton is going to win the election and that has been a fact for years, but this was cemented (as if it needed to be) as soon as trump became the presumed gop nominee. imo Hillary's cashing in on the republican divide between the neocons who've invested (ideologically and financially) in the war on terror, and the underemployed underdogs voting for trump because he seems to promise upward mobility in a flavour that doesn't scream welfare state expansionism. again, this is just a feeling.
Hillary is basically a stand-in republican candidate. Her views are so traditional, she's more centre-right than anything; this has to be a comfortable choice for the disgruntled neocons fleeing Trump the non-interventionist, and that has to be a pretty sizeable number of people. There is.. no way in hell.. the electoral college will elect Trump... imo anyone warning of a Trump presidency, through printed word, is fear mongering. The US has been in a constant state of war for over two centuries. Defence spending is, from what i understand, something of a pillar in american economies and in that sense you guys can't really afford to elect a non-interventionist like trump.
anyway i don't care what anyone says, i've accepted that hillary's going to win and a part of me is honestly excited for the US to have a woman as president. this has nothing to do with her platform. from what i've heard, i don't like it. but chances are, as the first woman to become president, she's gonna be at least interesting to watch because she had to work that much harder to get there. having a woman as leader of the cultural empire of the world, regardless of her policies, provides for some pretty meaningful representation.
You don't HAVE to vote for either of them, you can go third party, you know. I'm writing in someone who I think will do the best job, simple as that. Assuming, that is, that the popular vote actually counts.....
oh, right
electoral college.
An outdated thing, which should utterly be abolished. So, then, really your vote doesn't actually matter, other than, you can say you didn't vote for this idiot or that moron. The electoral college ends up being the final say. It's criminal what politics have done to this country.
Because fuck both of these candidates. Fuck them.
collecting I was a Bernie Sanders supporter, and now I support Jill Stein. I actually don't mind if Hillary Clinton wins, but I just can't stand Donald Trump. The post by Clinton from Trump's "4 more years of Obama" post makes me want to vote Hillary Clinton, but I feel like I want to vote who I think is the best choice. Jill Stein was running in 2012, but I would have voted Barack Obama anyways since there was no real "problem."
But yeah, the electoral college is what got George W. Bush in office in 2000 when he lost the popular vote. It would suck to see Jill Stein being like Ralph Nader and giving Donald Trump the presidency.
It concerns me that people think Hillary has the nomination locked--especially since the California primary last week. It seems the media has announced that she has won, and the fact that there are NUMEROUS mail in ballots which have not been counted is not being taken into consideration. I read that there are 3 MILLION mail in ballots (the day after our election) so if that is true, we really won't know who won the California Primary for a couple more weeks. It worries me that many people look to CA as one of the deciding primaries, since SO many people here are now using the mail in ballot option.
It's not over til the votes are counted AND the democratic convention is not for another month. We still have until July 25th to wait to see who actually will get the nomination. I wish it could be Bernie, but if not now I DO have hope that another similar candidate will run in 2020. SO many people are fed up with the inequality in this country.
Also, though I voted for Bernie in the primary and though I am not a big fan of Hillary, I WILL vote for her in the fall if she is on the ticket. If you do not want to see Trump as our next president vote for Hillary. The worst thing that can happen is if the progressive vote gets divided among the Democrat and any others. A vote that is cast for anyone other than Hillary will be a vote for Trump. I DO think she is much better than he is, and though she IS a millionaire who is not my idea of a candidate who represents ME, she is closer to my values than any Republican will ever be.
I cannot in good conscious vote for Hillary Clinton. Her nickname (Crooked Hillary) is rather apt, considering her past and this election's underhanded and illegal maneuvers by her hand with supporters. Not that Trump is any better, since he's a xenophobic, racist, misogynistic idiot that doesn't know shit about how to run this country.
Bernie all the way for me. Since I live in Vermont I've met him and talked with him a bunch of times. Like in high school, which was only a 400 student pop, we sat down in the library with ten other students and talked about policies and changing politics and the world for the better. I want him to stay in the race and I want that douche Hillary to finally get indicted and charged with a felony. It's like people just ignore her past and present; it's obvious she does what she wants. Up until 2013 she was against gay marriage, she doesn't care about the enormous student debt issue, minimum wage, etc.
Trump is an asshat. I mean, seriously, he spouts of crap from both sides of his mouth and he's so full of shit his eyes are brown. Plus, he doesn't know anything about anything. 'I think it's important we can have someone we can trust' in response to the question about the nuclear triad. smh

I can't wait for this election to be over. It's a fucking laughingstock. :l There are literally people out there who have said they would vote for Trump just for the lulz. That's what this election has turned into. Entertainment.
Also, I like Bernie for trying, but dayum son, that man is an idealist if he thought his ideas would pass Congress lmao. Hillary isn't perfect, but I hate how she's been demonized. Superdelegates were a thing before she was around. She didn't invent them. I also don't believe trusting the general population with voting is a good idea, so I can see why there's such a thing as superdelegates. I mean just take a look at Trump winning the Republican nomination. If there were superdelegates on the Republican side, this shit would probably have not happened anyway. But the problem with superdelegates and any sort of representation on the whole is corruption. Look at Congress. Our so-called representatives are collectively inadequate, inefficient, yada yada yada. The fact we still have filibusters is fucking appalling. No one should have to stall for 15+ hours to force Congress to even vote on the matter at hand. Oh goodness me, they sure work A LOT over at Congress. Voting to vote on things and calling to get funds and sponsors to get re-elected and gerrymandering the crap out of county lines. Bravo. Our whole government system has turned into one fucking joke. I wish I could be optimistic that new presidency would be something, but I'm a cynic, and I don't think a new president, whomever it will be, will change much. Sucks to be so apathetic. :x Although I do hope it is not Trump, because I don't want to be entertained. I'm done with this crap. I want someone who is taken more seriously than Trump is. I want a system, not shits and giggles entertainment.
ANYWAY. That got out of hand, my bad, this rant is a long time in the making orz.
I dig Bernie and I'm not liking either Hillary or Donald, but I'm really nervous about this election simply because there are a lot of people coming out of the wood work in support of Donald trump, and the other side seems to be choosing who they support. That's great, but at the same time when every vote counts, wouldn't it be better to have the lesser of two evils?
And with this whole Brexit mess, why throw caution to the wind? If someone tells me to get out of the U.S. which is built on immigration (forced and otherwise) and genocide, I won't be held responsible for my action.

I hear you about that immigration haters thing. I've been called a 'Muslim Bitch' more times than I can count, and threats about having me deported (despite me being born in the U.S., in a MILITARY HOSPITAL) or, if I'm not forced out, I'll be forced to wear a collar.
And then this one kid told me he would have liked to kill all my 'Indian' ancestors because I'm 1/8 Native American.
But to me, they are both evil and I abstain from voting for either of them, though admittedly I am more fearful of Trump winning, so much so that I have nightmares and panic attacks about it. But I stand by my decision not to vote for Hillary either, who is only the presumptive nominee, as she has blood on her hands, she is essentially a giant flip-flop shoe, and is wiling to do anything to get power. They both want power, and they want absolute power.... and you know what they say about that.
I am hoping that wretched woman finally gets indicted and is forced to drop out, leaving Bernie as the sole democratic presidential candidate.
Hillary only supported gay marriage in 2013. Before she was strongly against it. As someone a part of the LGBT etc. community, I don't like that sudden switch.

I think America can survive 4 years with Hilary as president, and then get her out if better nominees come along in 2020.
We can't survive 4 fucking seconds with Trump as president cause World War 3 would begin as soon as he's sworn into office.
