Possible bug? Mask not needed to dance

A friend of mine () was able to dance and isn't wearing a mask. Isn't the whole point of Masq, masks? XD
Yep, same here. I was able to invite a friend of mine to a dance and then I realized she's naked right now so it shouldn't be possible xD
(I AM wearing a mask, lol, you can't see it cause it's under my HA base but it's there. I'm sure my friend is not cause she hasn't been online the whole day so she doesn't even know masquerade has started)
Are they ACCEPTING the requests? I think you might be able to ask anyone to dance, but they can't accept them until they are dressed.
(Or it's a glitch, or staff made masks optional for the time being, which has happened in the past)

i thought they opened it up to non-mask users before? maybe they are doing it this year too. masks will definitely be inflated and hard to restock right now so it's a good idea to have non mask users join the party :)
No, they aren't, as I said my friend is not online at the moment. So I can just send her the requests and she'll be able to accept once she gets online and puts on a mask? Just want to be sure my invitations don't get wasted xD
Yeah, I don't think your requests will have been wasted. Your friend will either be able to accept them right away, or they'll get a notice telling them to put on a mask before they can dance.
Once again, though, that's only what I think, but I'm pretty sure I ran in to this in past years.

We're looking into this! You should be required to have a mask, we're figuring out why it's not making you guys atm. :)
Wasn't it changed during an event or mini event that people didn't have to wear a mask, so that they could participate ? Or there was an error and it was changed until it could be fixed ? I remember this being a thing (and a thing that should have been put back)
I think maybe during one of the plots? In general, the holiday is a Masquerade. You should be in a mask, haha. I know some people don't enjoy putting one on, but you can be pretty creative about layering. :x

Also, I do agree people needa wear a mask. Some of them aren't even on the face and thus don't hinder us wearing all of our preferred layers (I could still use more face layers to be honest, I'm using them all and it makes me sad). On top of some being held items and easier to work with (and layer-able behind any background), we're now able to layer them behind everything, including our skin. THERE IS NO EXCUSE... Anyhow, reason found.
Oh No! You need to be wearing a mask to be permitted into the Masquerade. I'm so sorry! Perhaps you could pick up one from Migrating Masks?

OKAY SO:
- You should now get an error if you're trying to dance with someone that does not have a mask on
- You should also get an error if you do not have a mask on and you're trying to dance
basically, be a good friend and make sure you and your friends are in masks.

I now have a mask on and it's not letting me dance (despite trying to dance with a user that also has a mask on)
it doesn't matter if the mask is lame or not, it's still a mask :(
It's not tagged for the masquerade. I guess I can be nice and include it.
I would love that :) it just makes sense to include anything with the word "mask" in it that covers your face. idk, that's just me. I can always layer another mask under my base
Generally, masks that restock at Migrating Masks count, some free masks we've done in the past, TS masks, etc. Not all masks on site work! What error message are you getting? It could be that your partner doesn't have a mask that counts. It could also be that if you just but on the mask, you have to wait about five minutes for the cache to catch up!
